U-Haul agent at pick up location in Largo Florida was in a foul mood and unpleasant. 18 wheeler blocked exit causing delay in my ability to leave. Truck cab was filthy with multiple coffee and other beverage spills which I had to clean. Cab overall was left in an unsatisfactory condition again delaying my move as I had to spend my time cleaning. Truck had only 1/4 tank of gas at pickup. I returned it with 1/2 tank. Will I receive a credit?Michael H.

The man who attached the trailer to my truck did not tighten the latch on the hitch. I drove off the property with the trailer just sitting on my hitch. Potentially very dangerous.ANGEL C.

The verification email that I received first from uhaul was Reservation #: 22925655 Requested Pick Up Location: Rob Partelos Winners Circle 4242 54th Ave N Saint Petersburg, FL 33714 Pick Up Date: Monday, September 20, 2021 at 9:30 AM Drop Off Location: U-Haul Moving & Storage of New Port Richey 5631 US Hwy 19 New Port Richey, FL 34652 Drop Off Date: Tuesday, September 21, 2021 Equipment: 15' Truck Once we arrived at 9:30 a.m. on September 21, 2021 there were no trucks at this location. While there I tried to contact the customer service number & was put on a call back list for 30 mins. While waiting for a call back I contacted a uhaul location in clearwater Florida & the representative there, Jamie, was VERY helpful. She located another truck for us & we were able to finally start moving, more than an hour past our start time. This delay resulted in additional expenses since we had hired a few men to assist in moving. Overall the rental went very well just needs improvement on updating customers in a more timely manner. Gem was great!! Very polite. My original contract was for another location down the same road on 66th street. The man was polite but assured me that I was at the wrong location and it wasn't on his list of drop offs.. even tho I had the paperwork. I showed him his address on my paper then he proceeded to ask me about the damage on a fender. I told him it was existing and that I was on the form I filled out. He then said that it didn't show an â€œXâ€ on his paperwork. I thought he didn't have it on his list? He then told me that it had to go down the street to the other location for repairs anyways.. he obviously didn't want to deal with it so I took it to Gem's location.JUAN V.

After arrangement, 2 days from pickup we were notified that truck not available at our location and we needed to pick up in another city although the tow trailer was at the 1st location, Personal at the 1st location was very confused and due to the fact that we were packing to move the process was very frustrating. All went well for the final pickup of the truck. this incident for the move' made the rental upsetting. since we were in the middle this inconvinence was frustrating . The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I wish online had an option to choose to do a dumpster/cleaning fee online (I looked and couldn't find one so I almost rented a truck). But this made my 20 hr move way easier not worrying about driving a uhaulJacob W.

My stuff was damage..fork lift guy left the box drop...and moving help is beyond horrible...they two helpers cancellede last minute...and I got charge twice...didnt even get a discount ...never ever using Uhaul again or recomendedCARLOS V.

First of all, this location failed to tell us or our movers that they were delivering the box to THIS location, 30 minutes away, rather than the one in our town, across the street from our building. We found this out once our movers showed up at 9AM and we're told that our box was not at the preferred location. When we asked UHaul why they did this, the only answer they could give us was â€˜I don't know.' When our movers arrived at the correct location, they couldn't access our box because 1. Our box was piled at the bottom of multiple other boxes despite them knowing ours was departing today, and 2. one of their forklift operators dropped a box, spilling the contents all over the floor, making our movers unable to retrieve our box. Our movers had to wait 4 HOURS to get our box and deliver to our address. Once we received the box in the evening when we were supposed to get it at 9AM, the lock to the door was broken off, and it looked like our box had been laid down on its side and then thrown in the air. Multiple items in our box were broken despite packing based on their instructions, including our TV stand and TV. We also noticed, once everything was out, that the bottom of the box split in half, and they put a piece of TAPE over it, like that would work. Nice try. Overall this was a horrible experience and we will NOT be using UHaul in the future. Phelps did an amazing job of dealing with the situation and making sure we still received our items. They made sure we check all items that could possibly be broken so we could take note for UHaul.JAMES P.

Bad customer service !!! Didn't get what I reserved !! They decided to hold it for the next person .. truck I got was much bigger , old and doesn't drive well .. gas cage broken .. 2 ladies at stores wasn't interested in helping at all .. their attitude was that I can go someone where else to rent a truck ?? Where should I start, I had to drive to Largo which was way out of my way to Venice, FL. I was told at the Largo location that I can store the box at any location. I tried 3 locations in Sarasota County and no one would take it. So I drove an hour and 15 minutes back to Largo to drop the box off. I demanded a refund and they would not do it so I gave up. For box pickups, I was never told you need to give a 24 hour notice. I only gave an hour notice because no one at the Largo location answers the phones. They NEVER answer the phones. I will never be using Uhaul again. Worst experience with any company in my life. Not just any storage company, ANY company ever. Worst experience.BRANDON L.
