Carrie P.I do not have enough time in my day or enough space in this box to explain this horrible experience. In short the faulty equipment that was rented to me caused us to waste 2 hours on the side of the road wasting gas waiting for roadside assistance to show up. All of this could have been avoided if the car transporter would have been maintenanced. The condition of the equipment was brought to the attention of the rental office at Time of pickup but they did not care. Sadly I'm sure this review will fall on deaf ears. I just pray that the next family that rents from U-Haul doesn't have the experience that we did. Not safe.

Oh and U-Hail maybe if y'all didn't cancel my original truck I wouldn't be in such a rush and my child might have not went to the hospital last night had you giving me the correct truck and not canceled my original truck because you get your panties in a bunch! Waited days to even get the truck I needed and then set up reservation at location by my house only to go there and my truck that was suppose to come back, DIDNT. They called the customer and he told them he was keeping it longer. Yes, he will be charged $50 for breaking his contract but that does me ZERO good. I was stuck holding the bag. Piss poor not having a back up plan for me except to offer me a bigger truck. A bigger truck wasn't going to work for me. I will call anyone else but uhaul next time I need to rent a truck or ANYTHING.

Hannah W.Your customer service sucks!! I reserved a trailer on Thursday evening (05/19/22). The online reservation was confirmed by Uhaul. On Friday morning (05/21/22) as I was leaving to pick up the trailer I received a call from Uhaul stating that the trailer was not available at that location and that I'd have to pick it up at a different location. I went to the new location and they said they have no trailer for me. Really, I made an online reservation on Thursday which was confirmed by Uhaul and on Friday you don't have a trailer for me? Very poor planning on Uhaul part.

Someone at the Vancouver store I talked to was amazing and fixed everything, but the corporate logistics seemed to be completely flawed. I would not reccomend this service to someone else.
Elliott D.Frequently, I was being misled with the times in which delivery and even calls were supposed to happen. At the start, I was told I'd get a call on March 31 to schedule the delivery on April 1, but it wasn't until about 3:40 PM, near the end of the day, that I even got a call, wondering if they forgot about it, throwing a wrench into my plans for that day. On April 1, I got the call in the morning for the drop off time scheduling. It seemed I had little control over the time. The drop off went beautifully! When ready for the first pickup, I got the call, late in the afternoon again on the day before, to confirm, but I needed an extra day because I wanted it to be picked up on the 6th instead of the 5th but they initially wouldn't let me to do that. On that call, they let me have the extra day and that was nice. They called again the next day late in the afternoon to confirm pickup and all was good. I had to call to place the order as your Website is dysfunctional. (I do not agree to Google's terms of use so I have them blocked at the OS level which prevents me from registering an account due to the legal barrier on that front making me have to deal with the inconvenience of calling - use an alternative to ReCaptcha (which is run by Google, hence the legal restriction) such as texting me a code on my phone or calling me with an automated prompt that gives an access code or something similar. I could only look at it the order info, and details were quite lacking.) I was told April 30 is when the Ubox would be dropped off. They didn't drop it off until May 2, 2 days late, but I was unavailable that day (I was available April 30 and May 1), so I had to delay it a day. The drop off went smoothly as before and I opened the box to verify all was good, and it was. After unloading it, everything was pretty much in its original condition. Very little shifting happened (some shifting is expected). Then they called the day before the pickup for confirming pickup and the usual pickup happened as normal. For the price, moving from Florida to Oregon, almost about the longest distance possible, I was surprised how cheap it was. The shipping itself was $1408. With the truck delivery on both ends of the move, it made the total close to $2000, before taxes. I was expecting almost double that. Aside from being misled extensively on the timing on when things will occur, I'm satisfied with the service. The biggest aspect I would love to see an improvement with is seeing a detailed schedule of events, including that in an E-mail, and, from there, if any changes were to occur, send a new E-mail with the updates. I would I also like for your site to be more accessible. Get Google out of there or offer alternatives like text messages, calling, special E-mail links, or a combination of these.

They closed early and when I returned the trailer and tried to enter, the doors were locked but not properly as they opened enough to set off the alarm. I had to call them numerous times noone answered mailbox full, I emailed them when they responded back was told Oh I didn't see your reservation. I was told 9:30 the first time then I was called back and told 11:00, I was then sent pictures of the job workers were doing they finally showed up at my house at 4:00. I paid for 2 hours at $75.00 an hour. Getting that late my husband and I moved 95% of furniture and all boxes. The movers were there for only 1 hour and it cost me $150.00. What really pissed me off is the whole move came to traveling 8 miles from U-Haul back to U-Haul my husband put $7.00 worth of gas into it and it did show full. The worker charged us $11.00 for gas. So we paid $18.00 for gas to ride 8 miles. Sounds like a rip off to me

Shatedra R.This was going to be a pretty bad review. But Uhaul made it right! We had initially ordered a Ubox to move from RI to Largo, FL Uhaul location, with a storage unit confirmed online at the same Largo, FL location. Meaning, we'd have the Uhaul Box at the Largo location to unload to our reserved storage unit at the same location. When we arrived to check in for our storage unit, we were informed that our unit was in fact not available! For whatever reason, the reservation website allowed us to reserve a unit that was not even available. We were told this at time of check-in. We had to get a storage unit at another facility, which meant we now had to pay $128 for the delivery fee to another location!!! We visited the Largo, FL office and mentioned that we were not happy as this was not in the moving budget, and we had felt (for lack of a better description): betrayed. We bit the bullet and paid the $128 to have the Ubox moved down the street to a new storage unit location. What else could we do?! To our surprise and delight, Uhaul refunded our $128 a few days later! We are beyond thrilled with their attention to this disruption. Thank you to the Largo, FL Uhaul team! Great customer service!

gerald H.Safety chain was put on by a professional. After driving 1200 miles all the bumps caused 1 link of chain to get stick in tie rod. Lady in office was only concerned about charging me for service guy to come out even after showing pictures. After 2 hours going back and forth with her 6 new neighbors helped me get it off. Horrible customer service in largo Florida. Went to 3 locations to return equipment. One would not take dolly. Had to find another location. Young kid who took dolly off was very nice!! You now have over 6 people that witnessed my phone call give you bad word of mouth!!

I called multiple times to confirm that it was still available. When we arrived after all day of driving it turns out that the storage we had reserved, for months, was no longer available and that we would have to call around to random storages to find one that is (virtually impossible day of). Called around and there was nothing available. We called back and told them and then they found a storage unit was available on the second floor with AC. They did not tell me that the "second floor" was only accessible by a ladder on wheels. This made moving all of our furniture extremely difficult both in and out. Other than that, everything went great. The employees were very friendly and helpful, though you could tell they were understaffed.
