They were supposed to charge me around 70-80 but they my credit card 140. They are cheating and they are not right. 1. I was shocked disappointed, and angry to learn that there were no elevators. How irresponsible is that of Uhaul. 2. When booking the truck I told the representative that I had a 1 bedroom. When arriving at Lanham/Bowie, I discovered that the representative was wrong. My items did not fit the storage selected. 3. There was only one person serving customers and his customer service was horrible. He had a get me out of here, no personality attitude. When I asked for a larger unit he informed me that there was no larger unit, but also told me that he had no way of finding out if another facility had a larger space. Ironically, when I found another location I was told that Uhaul does have a system that allows reps to check for space openings at other locations. So the rep lied to me. 4. I was late returning my truck the next day because I had to do my own research and find other people to unload me. I'm very disappointed in the final posseS of Uhaul. Improve your online information. This was my final destination to pick up the truck I wanted. Online I chose Clinton Md s as s pick up. I got a updated message from you changing the location to Chillum Rd NE DC. I then was sent Central Ave Md, and finally to your location. I was not happy!! I have no complaints about the customer service. At each location they were courteous but could not find a truck until four tries. My time and gas was used up on a busy moving day. It cost more in mileage charges. Online when I select and your system verified my request and accept pay method; I expect to get what was agreed upon.Doris L.
Concern, we returned the 26' truck and we dropped the key into the drop box and we spoke to an attendent about putting the key in the drop box before leaving. Later near closing on Saturday, someone called saying the did not receive the key and a possible charge would be added for a missing key. Our realtor and the driver will be reaching out to re-confirm you all have found the key that was dropped into your drop box when the truck was dropped off. I hope the management clears this key matter up quickly and there should be no additional charges to be made.HENRY S.

The only thing I would recommend is that an employee pull the van up front for the customers. After receiving my paperwork and Key. I was then told to go find and move my vehicle from lane E, which was very hard to find. Once I found my vehicle it was in a lane bery close between two other uhaul's which was EXTREMELY diffuclt to navigate between the two other close vehicles. It could has easily cause a minor accident if I wasnt an experienced driver. I believe next time there should not be any other vehicles blocked a new customers vehicle who is picking up. I also think an employee should be responsible for bringing the vehicle to the front or atleast escort the customer to the correct uhaul.HOWARD S.

I loved the expedited customer service. The transaction and pick up was fast and smooth. I had to pay $10 for a hand truck with a wobbling wheel; my movers could not use. Back in the day a hand truck was free of charge. I paid $10 for a "difficult to use" hand truck.TRACEY D.

Needed to return my trailer and then move into a storage unit that day, called ahead to make the reservation and make sure that would be possible and was told I would be able to. Got there a half hour before closing and the employees said I have to wait until another day to move in because they wanted to leave. I came back the next day and it took another 45 min to â€œfindâ€ my reservation and check me in because there was only one employee assisting like 7 different people while the other one stood and watched because he hadn't been trained yet. Was told I could move into the unit and pointed in the general direction of where the units were, but no one would go with me to show me where it was or how to get to it. couldn't find it because it was a literal construction zone, the door I needed to swipe into had a tarp, tapped over it and the ramp to get to it had been jackhammered out. Couldn't use the dolleys to unload a WHOLE TRAILER because the ramped was like a 3 ft drop. Finally unloaded and needed to return the trailer and no one was able to give me a straight answer as to where to put it because they â€œdidn't know I had toâ€. Worst experience I've ever had moving and storing, 0/10 recommend this place, good lord.Mckenna S.

Our move in experience was horrible, problematic, and exhausting on January 29, 2021, at approximately 6:15 PM when we discovered the main entry storage doors were locked. This was in conflict with the Storage Access hours of 5 AM to 10 PM as published on the U-Haul Standard Advantages for the facility. Items had to be moved through a single entry door instead of the various wide double doors at the loading dock. We were told upon move in that we should not be moving in at this time which was in conflict with the published time listed on "Your Storage Place of Landover" nor any other guidance or guidelines, verbal or non-verbal. Generally, it appears to be a lack of consistency of communication among all staff to customer for a smooth transition into the facility which was ultimately resolved through management or by others means.Paul W. | First Impressions

I don't think it's the employees' fault but every time I have used this location since COVID the wait at the counter is ridiculous. Only one person trying to do everything is not fair. When I went to pick up, it was 20 min wait because the only person at the counter had to hook up a trailer. Then only one guy cleaning the returns.Stacy C.

When using mobile entry, I was told my account was under review and had to wait 15 minutes for an agent to get back to me just to tell me nothing was going on with my account. Then the key to the truck I reserved could not be found causing me to be even later. Then I extended my reservation time due to the delay caused by U-Haul , but once I returned the truck I was charged for two days. U-Haul will be hearing more from me about this.Warren R.
The truck they initially tried to give me had a huge gash on the side of the rear tire and the second truck they gave me to replace the 1st truck had transmission issues. The trucks at this location are not well maintained at all; it's like they don't even care to check them before assigning them to people. The better business bureau should shut this place down for putting people's live at risk. My experience with uhaul has always been subpar at best; I honestly would recommend using another company like Penske.Chelsa W.
The staff is extremely rude, including the so called Supervisor, who refuses to give me her full name but claimed to be talking to me from the corporate office and then told me that I can not talk to anyone else but hers when I requested to. Knowledgeable staff and good Customer Service is hard to come by these days and is why I wanted to share my experience. The staff was very friendly, I was greeted as soon as I entered the facility.
