Erich RWould definitely go back if needed. Very secured building. We went with another company a few years ago and our unit was broken into. Come to find out there were no working cameras. Security is a big deal and your facility is very secure. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Dennis HDropped the trailer off on 3/14/24 and received a call on 3/17 asking me how things were going with the trailer. Whoever was helping receive the trailer when I dropped it off didn't seem to properly check it in and I've yet to receive a final receipt/invoice.
Dayne MMy U-Box did not arrive at my daughter's apartment in Charlotte, NC on time. I repeatedly told Jenna at the Lakeville location that it had to be at my daughter's apartment on March 14. She entered March 14 as the guaranteed arrival date in Charlotte, meaning the soonest my daughter could get it was the next day. Consequently, my daughter arrived in Charlotte after a 22 hour drive with NONE of her belongings. She had to sleep on the floor of an empty apartment and wait for the U-Box to arrive the next day. This is unacceptably and could have easily been avoided if your staff had simply entered the correct arrival day. It was picked up from my home on February 29, so there's no reason it could not have been shipped in time (the lead time was only 9 days and you had two weeks). Very disappointed in the end result, even though the initial customer service was decent and the staff was nice.

Keith EThe guy that help when pick up the trailer was great!,when I dropped off the guy was super ride he send inside the shop to tell a kid with music on headphones to ask to unndo the trailer and put it back in place(I didn’t felt comfortable at all to do that but I did it ,after that I walked in again to get the bill or something I was expecting some explanation or direction of what will happen after I dropped off the guy looked at me without saying a word I felt so embarrassed,so I ask him if a need a receive or some paper if they need to look at the trailer fo damage and he said you good and look it away,I had the trailer scheduled for 2 day but I bring it back in 24 hrs I was thinking to ask him if I had to pay for just one day but I was honestly afraid of ask so I just walked away My Name is Claudio my phone number is (803) 357-5079 I will be happy to talk to someone about this specific guy

Robin SIt's not really anyone's fault but getting in and out of this location is a pain, the truck was in need of some work or for it to be retired, missing dome light cover, cargo lights didn't work and the door seals leak air more than one would think.

Mary EAfter hours return process was difficult. Couldn't figure out how to return in the app, and tough to find oh the uhaul website. Eventually I found a URL on 1 of the return signs. Even then I couldn't find my active rental with my phone number. Had to go to my email find the order number on 1 of the 3 emails sent to me and then I was able to go thru the return process. The act of writing mileage, taking pictures etc was pretty easy. Just getting to that point took me about 20 minutes and is really frustrating when you just want to drop off the truck.

I made this reservation previously and the day before pick up I was called and notified they don’t do reservations at that location. I then had to call other locations until I found one in long prairie Minnesota. The man at the facility was very nice and able to make me a new reservation online. I then picked up in Sauk center the lady ended up inputting my name incorrectly on the paperwork. Which made it hard to drop off. I was unable to drop off at original location and was sent to lakeville. The man at the facility was very upset I got there so late which I was not intending to do so. He told me I had to come back the next day for him to give me my deposit for the uhaul. Overall I would not use uhaul trucks again. As for the storage facility in lakeville it’s very nice and convenient. I will continue to use this storage space.

TRACY A | First ImpressionsThe facility was great, as well as the local U-Haul staff. However, it was the corporate U-Haul that messed up my billing and weren’t taking out auto withdrawals. U-Haul even tried calling a secondary contact I had on my account and tried to collect the $50 rent. I then got a text from U-Haul corporate at 6:15 am one morning waking me up the following month about making a payment (which wasn’t due for a couple days)…it said to call U-Haul asap. I called U-Haul number provided and got the corporate call center as usual. They told me my payment for upcoming month was due and that my auto withdrawals were setup and that it would be taken out in a couple days (making absolutely no sense). With that, I drove over to Uhaul storage yesterday and moved everything out and put in may garage and closed my account with Uhaul. This way I won’t have to deal with U-Haul’s broken billing, operations and meaningless texts and communications moving forward. Again, the local team was great…wish we could work with them rather than corporate

Patrick H | Overall ExperienceAs my moving helpers and I we’re going up to the third-floor to the lockers I rented. We went to the elevators to go back down to get another load. This is when we discovered the elevator no longer worked. There is only one elevator in the building and one stairs. Employees stated they had called the maintenance man who would be there either later that day or the next day. Which was great but I had my movers I hired waiting there for quite a while at $120 an hour. By the time the lady called me that same day, the movers had already taken another job. My son and I had to go and get the stuff out of the hallway and put into the lockers. This was a disgusting horrible situation with Uhaul. I also had trouble with truck rental and my storage locker and parking spot that I had reserved with Apple Valley U-Haul approximately two months ago as the reservation was the entire thing was miserable

This resulted in many paper notices being mailed to multiple parties describing late fees that were not valid. Contact center hold times were not acceptable, no way to engage and resolve without physically visiting the uhaul location. Local staff, very helpful, just fix your systems and staff your contact centers to address service times.
