I was offered to buy insurance and when I declined it, I was told I would be financially responsible for damages. The truck I was put in was damaged all over the place. If people buy the insurance or pay for damages out of pocket, WHY was this vehicle not repaired? Literally damaged outside and inside almost everywhere. If you charge people, shouldn't all of your fleet be in pristine condition?Jodi R.

When I went to return the van an employee passed me to go outside to help another customer. The employee did not greet me nor let me he would be a minute, so I stood around the store trying to figure out how to return the van until another employee finally approached me and asked what I needed help with.JOANNA D.

The service and employee was excellent!! The truck however was not!!!! The air conditioner did not work! I tried to calling the Kokomo location no help. Recommended I call the 1-800 number and got nowhere!!! To spend that amount of money you would expect the air conditioner to work!!! I'm sure it was not the first time to quit working. I drove it home with the window down on the first day just getting a feel for the mirrors and how it sounded, then parked it and three days later we left to be rudely awakened by the fact no AC. So my thoughts and advice check it out thoroughly and call the 1-800 number prior to see what will occur if a problem arises.Toni V.

Matthew Wild was very helpful in the process. There was another older and kinda bigger man who worked there who was really rude and not helpful. He kept looking at me like he was offended that I dared ask him questions or ask him to help me. Someone needs to talk to him. Unfortunately, I don't know that man's name. Matthew made up for the other man's behavior. He came over when he saw me struggling to work with the other man. Matthew helped me out, answered all of my questions, and was nice while doing so.ABIGAIL B.

The truck was beat up and tire had a chuck missing. The truck was so unstableSAEED Q.
The online check-in took quite a while and would hang for a while and wouldn't give any details on why it wasn't moving through the process. We then went inside and was informed that they there are problems if they try to interrupt the registration process so we had to finish on the registration online. After about 20 minutes of trying to check in we finally got access to the truck, but then the truck wouldn't start. We were informed that the truck is hard to start but it always starts, but they had to jump start it to get it to run. We were afraid to shut the truck off, so we left it running for the entire move which cost us quite a bit more in gas.Jeffrey W.

honestly like fuck uhaul. i will NEVER use this company again. it all started when i went to pick up my uhaul in alexandria and they DIDNT FUCKING HAVE IT. they basically told me tough shit we don't have a truck for you figure it out. like talk about the worst customer service ever. i then called their customer service which i also should mention is fucking terrible and waited on hold for 45 minutes before i could talk to an actually person for her to hang up on me. i continued to call until i got through and when i did they told me the only truck they had available was in kokomo which is AN HOUR AND A HALF away from my home. but i had no other choice so i had to drive all the way to kokomo to get it. the only thing they did give me was free mileage for driving up to kokomo. nothing else. also i should mention my pickup time was supposed to be at 8am but like i said they had nothing and i couldn't pick up the other uhaul until 4:30 which put us way off schedule and had us moving my things through the night.Ashley S.
Both of the employees who I worked with when picking up the equipment were extremely nice and helpful. They offered good moving tips too. I really appreciated them. What you can do better is have rented equipment available. I had ordered a furniture dolly and the location didn't have one in when I picked up the truck. This made moving my piano very difficult.JERI W.

It took sevem fucking hours to get a uhaul after I was scheduled for a nine am pickup and I had to drive two extra hours to pick it up. When you finally found me a uhaul an hour away seven hours late, you charged me $40 more for this uhaul because you could only get me the next size up AND you then charged me for extra miles after it was your fault the uhaul had to be driven over an hour more than expected since you made me pick it up from the wrong place. I hate this stupid company and will be telling everyone I know about my horrible experience. I booked a uhaul weeks in advance and paid over $260 and it wasn't even there for me. Have all products that I Pre-ordered IN STOCK, And if you do not have equipment, Have someone ANYONE have the knowledge on how to be able to Remove it from the customer's bill. If I order a 2 wheel dolly online, It should be available. Management should be able to remove it from my bill or be able to switch up and offer something else. He didn't care and made it known to me that if I didn't like it, I could take my business elsewhere.Christopher H.

This was not the location I had requested. I was sent to another location who ended up not having my rental unit. This location was where I was sent. The locations professionalism was great. It was a total of 70 miles out of my wayKenneth K.
My rental agreement said there was a half tank of gas in the truck. However it was a full needles width under. I used the truck for a total of 16 miles and had to put 14.7 gallons of gas in it to get it to a half tank. Maybe just keep the trucks full and give the option to return them full or buy a tank of gas in advanced.CHRISTOPHER J.
Why nobody called me even after my reserved time was put off as long as 8 hours? I called U-Haul at 2AM and was told to call the dept of reservation which opens at 7AM. Obviously the reservation system has issues, and the relation between the system and the location staff is not very good.Chiyuki Y.
Not the fault of this location, but I originally booked a 15' truck at a location in Logansport, IN. They did not have the equipment available, nor did anyone in the area. I found out only because I contacted them around 13:30 the day before my rental. They stated equipment shortage has been an ongoing issue... No one had contacted me to make me aware of it, even though I had booked it over 2 weeks earlier. The person I spoke to gave me the next size smaller truck 60 miles away from my original location. Someone then contacted me and gave me a much closer location. In the end, everything worked out. But the lack of communication about the equipment I requested was extremely frustrating.Heather P.
