The truck needs adjustable mirrors, even manually adjustable ones. I am not an abnormal height and found the fixed mirror position to prohibit safe and effective fields of view without significant movement and crouching. The sealed and mounted hand truck which I did not need or ask for got in the way and ultimately led to damaging (minor) some soft goods. It was a frustration I didn't need, particularly when I didn't ask for one.John L.

Very disappointed with the condition the rental was in. No one bothered to walk us out to the lot to show us or review anything .We even had to pull a cardboard rent me sign out of the front window & had to leave it on the ground . On the way home I put my hand in a sticky substance that was melted into the passenger door rest. Food , dog hair and other debris were all over the floor of the cab. It smelled like wet dog. The windows were so dirty we could hardly see out them on the way home. We had to completely clean this rental van before we could even think to drive it 800 miles! , it was even missing a hub cap! I have pictures of all of it. We paid good money to rent it and as you know there is plenty of other rental companies to choose from, we shouldn't have to clean it too.Russell B.

More options or more mileage. I rented a 15', because given where I was moving, something larger would not have been feasible. However, I had to make numerous trips and the mileage charge was over done, in my opinion. Whoever set that up has obviously never moved themselves before. Other than that, everything went well and the staff at the drop-off/return were impeccable!David E.

Very appreciative of the fact that they had a truck for me even though I did not make a reservation. Upon the initial inspection of the truck, I noticed the check engine light was illuminated. I notified a woman behind the desk. She looked it up on her computer and informed me that it was safe and I would have no worries. I drove the truck 1.5 hours and had noticed a missfire at idle. Having mechanical knowledge, I knew it wasn't unsafe to drive. On our return back home, the truck began to stall and the engine shut off while traveling on the interstate. I quickly pulled over to the shoulder and was looking at the fuel gauge to make sure it wasn't low on fuel. It still had right under 1/4 of a tank. The light had not yet illuminated. I tried to start the engine, it ran for 10 seconds then quit again. I called uhaul roadside assistance. They informed me it would be 90 minutes for a service provider to get to me. A little inconvenience, but I understand what goes into that. A man shows up with looks to be his wife in his truck with him. Tells me the usual mechanic is on vacation, which made me a little uneasy. Does his initial inspection, then calls his boss to ask what he needs to do next. He's instructed to try and add fuel to it to see if it helps. He did not have a gas can in his truck at the time to had to leave and come back. Which took 45 minutes. Adds a little bit of fuel, and the vehicle starts up and runs. But the gas gauge never once moved. He tells me the charge of the service he provided which I don't entirely agree with but I k ow I don't have any choice in the matter. He follows me to a gas station so I can use the ATM. I then add $40 of fuel and the needle starts to rise to 3/8 above the 1/4 mark. So almost a half of a tank. The wishes us safe travels. I start to pull out and the gas gauge jumps down to 1/4. I inform the mechanic immediately. He says ok and tells me that he will add it to his report. We do make it back home without any more trouble and dropped the rental off with no trouble. But at the point the truck had a stalled and died due to a faulty sending unit, according to the mechanic, I did feel unsafe to drive. I was accompanied by a family member who felt the same. Moral of my experience is, if a rental vehicle has a warning light in, especially a check engine light, I don't think it should be put out into service until the issue is resolved. We reserved a 10 x 20 as we had some long items to store. When we arrived they had us in two 10 x 10 units. We told them why we needed the 10 x 20 and that we were told they remove walls between two to make them 10 x 20. The main lady at the front counter was so terribly rude and told us we were not told about a 10 x 20 and that we could go elsewhere! She was so incredibly rude and vocal. I kept apologizing and promised her I wasn't lying. We rented the truck and the two units as we had no time to find other as it had come down to the moving day. After this move I will never use the Kingsport Uhaul on Stone Drive ever again!!!TROY B.

The lady that was helping me was very friendly but once she had a question about my account & asked for help from the manager things changed. The manager was very rude. She didn't want to explain any of the questions I had and was just plain rude. Once we got to the truck it was still dirty from the previous customer and we were unable to adjust the seat because it was broken. The gas was below the level they had listed in paperwork and there was a problem with the passenger door not opening unless you pushed it then tried again. Bad latch. It was a 50-50 chance if the staff was actually helpful… You could be out either loading or unloading your unit and in the parking lot in front of the facility and the staff were speeding and taking turns a very high speeds wheel screeching through the parking lot with no regard to anyone else in the parking lot. The customer service person behind the counter, I think her name was Kelly, was not very personable. I mentioned to my husband, as we walked out, that she was just a little on the sour side. It might have been that we were there on a Sunday and she didn't like having to work on the weekend. Also, when I reserved the truck, it didn't give a spot to estimate the miles I was planning to drive, so the quote was like $45. When we got to the counter, Miss Sunshine asked how many miles were were going. We gave her an estimate of 100, which bumped the bill to $128. The end result was 44.3 miles so the bill was 74.52. Still more than the original quote. Please allow your customers to estimate their mileage. Expecting $45 and walking out with a rental contract of $128 at the beginning is quite a shock. Especially if you are budgeting based on the initial quote.Randal R.

There were three roaches found on my belongings . Also sent my girlfriend into get a copy of my access card so she could get in and some employee made a comment on how she had attractive feet. Overall a great system. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is clean and nice. The loading area is small and the people block it sometimes. Maybe remove the concrete island in the parking lot in front of the loading area so it's not so tight and easier to back in. Adding the additional doors farther down to load/unload would be helpful. Your storage facility was exceptionally well maintained and convenient. The truck rental was disappointing: The truck was dirty in the front and the back. Someone should have checked if the mirrors needed adjustment since they cannot be adjusted without a tool of some sort. My driver didn't realize the large blind spot on the right side requiring constant additional attention from the passenger until entering a highway. Everything was awesome all the personnel were great. The price points a little high though for a 10 x 10... After this crazy rush is over and all the folks moving to escape Tyrannical governors. Then you might lose some people to lower cost units as they are going up everywhere. And then it’s going to get competitive for you. Don’t get the jab. You may regret it later or you could regret it sooner if you get a blood clot or die. Also it doesn’t protect you against the Delta variant and it gives some people Covid. Covid is almost 100% survivable. So the whole thing is nuts. 7500 people die every day in the United States of all causes and Covid’s getting rolled into all of it. Just trying to help you make a good decision. Get the facts. There are medication‘s that treat viruses and I’ve worked for years very effectively. By talking about them get you censored. The main stream media has an agenda and my only tell you one part of the story. Also if you had Covid already you definitely don’t need the jab. Oh one last thing on this experimental vaccines may affect your ability to reproduce so if you haven’t had children you might wanna hold off for that reason. My unit was one long walk and not easy to find, as was not on the chart provided.
