Better explain the pricing . Was charged way more than what was told . Extra charges for mileage was understood but this rental was ridiculous .

MICHAEL WDropped off two one way rental trucks over the course of two weeks. The first one showed more miles until empty on the gas when I dropped it off than it did when I picked it up. All was good. When I returned the second truck, I was told all was good. Then I received a pending charge of $10.51 on my bank account. I called and the drop off location said I was short on gas and charged me for it. Now here is where I have a big problem. I was told all was good with the truck, plus the gas said more miles until empty just like the first truck I dropped off. And I can prove it because I have a picture on my phone! The lady was not at all helpful with this.

TIMOTHY GMy car hauler was supplied with tires that did not survive the entire trip from Kingsport, Tennessee to Tucson, Arizona. One of the tires failed catastrophically in the middle of Oklahoma and the damage the trailer. Two others look dodgy enough that it was suggested they be replaced. The little shop in Oklahoma that I went to did not have spare parts and in fact had to borrow wheel off of one of those rentals. This was done with the OK of his regional manager. I stopped at a large U-Haul operation in Amarillo Texas, and had two more of the tires changed.

After return I received a recipe t saying I owed 12$ for excess mileage I paid in advance for 60 miles. The same receipt after return shows 54 miles. I know it's just 12$ but stop adding miles to pinch a few extra dollars from someone. The truck was returned with a quarter tank extra gas then I rented it with!
MARI BThe lady that worked the morning shift was very rude to us and would not give us any info. So we came back the afternoon after renting online due to her rudeness. Those were nice. Did not use the equipment we rented due to the car sat to low to the ground to get it up on the ramps. So after all this and paying for something we couldn't use we had it towed which ended up being cheaper than to rent from you and deal with rude lady.

JAMES MWe chose a mobile check in which didn't work and it seems like the workers knew it didn't bc after an hour of trying to find the office they were like oh xxxx? I have your key here. Like what? I wasn't given my storage location just a random lock they charged me for. To beat all that- when I first arrived, the main uhaul people were not there just a worker who said they'd be there soon and some shady dude flipping through boxes. I was there with my son and all of a sudden there is this intensely irate man screaming at them asking why they took 20k of belongings in a truck which the woman ( the worker, on of two) who had arrived screamed back he was supposed to have it back at closing…it was like 10? 11am? Which means instead of charging this dude for another day they trespassed and took his things? You would think the worker would descalate but nope. Escalated things even further to the point I had the person I was with go outside bc the worker I was dealing with was trying to describe the contract which was higher than estimated, but I couldn't hear her over the screaming match beside us, and was like I'd just ok fine fine. We left expecting to hear gunshots. That's how awful it was. That had to be the worst of it right? Absolutely not. While loading things we discover the ramp was so worn it didn't work properly. So it the midst of loading things in the back without the promised ramp, I put a solid step on the bumper step down and promptly found myself on the pavement with road rash, a sprained ankle, and an arm that was broken in two places. Turns out, the tread had worn on that spot and was slick as heck. The nurse thought the truck had been moving but we showed her the security camera that caught all of it and nope. Just faulty af equipment. I literally had to then drive this truck with a broken arm because I was terrified of losing my belongings bc of the incident that morning. I will NEVER go back there.

DELORES LAccept cash as a payment method. I know that you need a card on file for incidentals and non-returners, but you can get still get that and accept cash as a payment. Even accepting more a minimum of $100 and then returning what was not used would be a good thing.

When we got there, he said he was too full and made us take to another location and then pay the fee to drop at another location. He said he didn't have room because garbage day was in the morning. Fortunately, the new drop location called traffic and got it switched so we didn't have to pay extra. It was a very inconvenience and if we had known ahead of time, we could have been prepared!

JAMES MWAY OVERPRICED I returned this uhaul truck the evening I rented it and was charged 129 even though my receipt says 6am which is less than 24hrs I actually returned this truck around 11pm the same day I rented it I’m sure that’s on their security cameras also
LOGAN WI called to see about extending rental. When turning it in, I was told I would be charged for the extra day even though I returned the truck and car trailer by the original drop off. Not only that, I was quoted about 65 for the truck and insurance but they had it at 112 that I had to dispute with the manager to have it removed. She first attempted to send me to the 800 number to have it resolved. She fixed it with minor pressure to fix the issue. If I had to call the main uhaul number, I would of been doing it with them present, guess they didn't want to deal with that either. I just called to figure out the cost that was also inaccurate.

I was extremely unhappy with this. I watched one representative put notes in about the trailer, why did I get charged? Then the person who charged me didn't know what to do other than tell me he would write a note to the manager. He should have read the notes in the computer first.

There was a dead Canadian goose within 20 feet of the entry doors that had been there for at least 6 days as I saw and smelled it the week before when I was there. I killed a cockroach in the hallway upon entry to the facility. The facility was overall dirty and staff is not friendly. We will not rent another unit at this location.

This last time, I had to move out due to a bunch of my antique furniture, getting warped from all of the humidity and heat caused by the air conditioning, not working. When I asked For some type of compensation off Of my storage unit while the AC was not working, and they told me they could not. I moved out immediately. They made way too much money off of me already. The only thing that I can highly recommend anyone, is that you only rent a truck from here and not a storage unit. You're going to pay way too much, and at the end, your stuff will be ruined like mine. It's really upsetting and will unfortunately not be using them again myself.

I will not be using U-Haul Storage in the future or recommending U-Haul storage due to the fact that U-Haul does not prorate. U-Haul apparently expects you to move out of your storage unit the same day of the month that you moved into your unit. In 2024 this is absolutely ridiculous and nothing more than a money grab on U-Haul's part which speaks volumes about the type of company they are. This archaic policy is not communicated up front. Thoroughly disappointed with the laziness of this company. You have received your last dollar from this consumer, congratulations!

JEFFREY L | Overall ExperienceI rented this during a move from NC to TN, we had snow weather the week before. When we arrived to the facility in TN they are snow plowed everything in the parking lot. I guess to make sure they could rent the trucks and trailers. But the rest of the parking lot and the walkways were still snow packed and icy. We was unloading a 15ft trailer and of course they gave us a unit that was the farthest away. With no side door available it took 6 hours with 4 people unloading it l. Completely ridiculous plus not to count how many times we fell and slipped because I don't know why the facility didn't care about the customers needing to get to the storage units they were paying for. Then the other bad experience was when the snow melted all the water was coming into my unit plus 2 other units, after waiting for 20 mins cause there was only one guy behind the counter as the other workers were out front smoking and talking in their phones I told him and he didn't seem to care that water was seeping into units! I got my stuff out as quick as I could and went to another storage facility unfortunately.

When I swipe for the alarm, it welcomes me but then when I go to swipe for the door, it denies me over and over and over. Then I go back to swipe again for the alarm and go back to swipe for the door and it works but it takes seven or eight tries to get the doors to open. It always turns off the alarm, but it doesn't always swipe for the doors.

MARVA H | First ImpressionsAfter our first month, we never received a bill until they sent us a past due notice with a late fee. I called the 800 number to have this corrected and was told to reach out to local branch and they could remove the fee and confirm that the bills were being sent to the correct address. Upon calling the local brach, I spoke to Kelly Pritchard, the general manager, who informed me that they do not send out bills (I'm not sure how you can offer a monthly service without sending out bills by mail or email). I asked to be set up on an auto bill and have the late fee removed. She became very agitated and rude. After several minutes on the phone she put the phone down, without saying goodbye or that she was transferring me, and handed the call off to one of her subordinates, who was very pleasant. She informed me that Kelly had approved for me to be credited back the late fee. After several months in there, I was mailed a letter informing me that my rates would be raised effective 7/1/2023 so I decided to pull everything out of the unit. I would also comment that, even though it is a climate controlled facility, there is a sign stating that temperatures range from 75-85 degrees. We were there a couple times and it was over 80 degrees inside the facility. I think this is quite high for a climate controlled space, especially for the monthly cost.

However, due to logistics and closing date on our new home, our storage billed to my credit card 1 day before we could retrieve our belongings. I asked about a refund or prorate for the monthly charge and was informed that they do not give refunds. The sales people at the counter are too fast, to a point where things aren't explained properly and you miss half of what they say and you end up paying for items you would have declined had they mentioned them where you could understand them. I talk fast, and even I can't understand half of it. When calling to make a payment on our unit, they're always in too big of a hurry and are not nice at all. The ONLY nice worker there is named Leslie. She's the only one I'd like to deal with at this location. Everyone else needs to take some customer service notes from her. I've worked with the public for 15 years in different jobs and I've never treated anyone the way they do here. Also, the day I rented the unit, the man rushed me so fast I had to practically run to keep up with him. Advice: Slow down, make sure customers understand everything, and if not take the time to make sure they do. You're not getting paid by the amount of people you get through your line, so chill.

I got stuck in traffic for a long time after get sick from heat and dehydration. I called and was on hold a very long time to report change in turn in time then transferred 3x to get road aide assistance due to inability go lock truck when left on lot. Got called at 630am and caller very rude. I was still in 24hr turn in time. I told her I had called and extended turn in time. She said there was no note. I said call 800# and I would ahow her my calls when I got there. I also had not used a bag of blankets they were unopened and she refused to reimburse me. The supervisor was the rude person the other worker was very nice. I also had a storage room which I rented a bigger room. The helper was very nice.

Someone should have checked if the mirrors needed adjustment since they cannot be adjusted without a tool of some sort. My driver didn't realize the large blind spot on the right side requiring constant additional attention from the passenger until entering a highway. Someone should at least inform a driver as how the mirrors can be adjusted. Especially for almost a 2000 mile journey. Thank you for the excellent storage experience.

After this crazy rush is over and all the folks moving to escape Tyrannical governors. Then you might lose some people to lower cost units as they are going up everywhere. And then it's going to get competitive for you. Don't get the jab. You may regret it later or you could regret it sooner if you get a blood clot or die. Also it doesn't protect you against the Delta variant and it gives some people Covid. Covid is almost 100% survivable. So the whole thing is nuts. 7500 people die every day in the United States of all causes and Covid's getting rolled into all of it. Just trying to help you make a good decision. Get the facts. There are medication's that treat viruses and I've worked for years very effectively. By talking about them get you censored. The main stream media has an agenda and my only tell you one part of the story. Also if you had Covid already you definitely don't need the jab. Oh one last thing on this experimental vaccines may affect your ability to reproduce so if you haven't had children you might wanna hold off for that reason. There have been some reported cases of miscarriage after the vaccine. Just sharing my insight to the random person that might read this. Gracias

It was just as hot inside as it was outside which made moving that much more miserable. Other than that, would use Uhaul storage again.

After the credit card was automatically charged, we received emails that our payment was late and we were being charged a late fee. This happened multiple times, first on two of the units we rented and also on a third storage unit. I spoke with the staff in person twice and on the phone once. Even after this, I received another email that our account was being charged a late fee. Even though our credit card was never charged for a late fee, it was very annoying getting these emails. I'm also concerned that it could have effected my credit rating. I was satisfied with the storage units, however, the billing system leaves a great deal to be desired.

This facility was a great choice for us.

It was corrected right away and I had no other issues. I would recommend if someone has never been there to explain slightly better on how the unloading process works, it was a bit confusing.

We were able to buy reasonably priced moving supplies (boxes, tape, etc.), rent moving vans, & store our furniture in one place. The storage facility is clean, well lit & very convenient to load/unload furniture. We were also able to purchase propane gas for our fireplace in our new home. The staff is friendly & very helpful. I called the prior day to confirm my reservations and finalize the details after ordering a storage unit two weeks ago. The details were not actually confirmed and he was met with an attitude from the person at the counter. The U-haul site manager was nearby but did t offer assistance. My husband had to interrupt my workday to have me again finalize the details. I'm less than satisfied with the way he was treated and after my agreed upon three month storage will be seeking alternate arrangements. This is disappointing. The U-Haul I dealt with in Sherwood Oregon was fantastic. Setting up everything for me so all I had to do was call and finalize the details. I wouldn't have minded providing those details again, but there is a manner in which you treat people. My husband had just driven 2600 miles in four days. He was tired but he is always one of the lindest men. He is in ministry. He didn't deserve to be treated the way he was.
