Recently rented a 20' truck and 2-dozen furniture pads for a local move. When I arrived to pick up the truck I was informed that they had no furniture pads. I had to go to another U-Haul location to rent the pads I needed which was a serious inconvenience and headache. You guys can do better than this. I've been renting from U -Haul for years and this is the first time you've seriously let me down.MATTHEW G.

I walked in. No staff were present. I waited over 5 minutes in an empty store. Not a big concern for me; but I would not leave my store unsupervised for 5 minutes.ERIN S.
We received a truck with a faulty door that nearly injured us multiple times as we were using it. Instead of being able to reel it up slowly, this giant steel door would wildly fly up with violent speed whenever we tried to open it. At one point, the door flew open and got caught on something at the top of its track and we could not get it back down again. We called the Uhaul manager, Kristina Estes, for assistance and she had a horrible attitude and acted like we were bothering her by asking for help with this junk vehicle and its broken door. The truck issues delayed our move by a day. When we returned the truck and a Uhaul employee examined it, she gasped when opening the door and exclaimed, "oh, that almost took me with it!" Nevertheless, Uhaul had the audacity to charge us for the extra time we were stuck with this deathtrap when we should have been refunded for all of our trouble and risk. We will NEVER use this Uhaul location again and would advise others to do the same.Sean C.

U-Haul representative handed me truck key and told me to go find the 26' truck. They had a lot of trucks at this location. Truck was dirty. Had to put 3 quarts of oil in truck on first morning as no oil showed on dip stick. Had to replace the worn out wind shield wipers so I could see during rain events. Had to replace extremely dirty air filter. Not a good experience.Cullum H.

Let's start with the customer service. The blonde lady in sunglasses and all black was extremely rude. I sign in online and ask where my truck is. She points a liar king lot full of uhauls and says that way. No guidance. Sees me walking around the lot and does nothing. Ask again and she rudely said your truck is right there. Then I needed keys which she already knew so made me walk all the way back to get them. No service what so ever. Truck was dirty. Gas wasn't even half full. Terrible experienceFrank O.

The van wasn't clean. Had dog hair and debris all inside. Upon returning the kid who took the key from me said â€œyou're good bro,â€ and that was all. No greeting. Wouldn't look up from his cell phone to greet me. It's obvious why the van wasn't clean. Office staff was great.JACOB W.

The only problem that I had was this: I ordered 2 packages of furniture blankets, but only opened & used one. Even though the package was still sealed, they refused to give me a refund. Communication as my truck was at another location 20 miles from my house and I wasn't notified until late in the evening before an early am pick up. It set me behind schedule over 2 hrs with packing help coming.PAUL S.
The interior of the front of the truck was coated in fine sand, and there was a used hairbrush behind the passenger seat. The backup lights on the truck had corroded at the base of the bulbs, and the bulbs fell out of the sockets. At least one of the tires on the trailer was a retread. The tread came loose and we had to call out a service repair. That being said, the truck and trailer handled beautifully, and got us and our belongings where we needed to go.Sheryl H.

Additionally, a member of the truck staff assisted me in temporarily airing up one of the tires on my personal car (I had hit something on the drive to the facility and my tire was nearly flat when I arrived). The after hours door stopped working after I signed up for the unit. I came to retrieve some items one night and couldn't access my unit. There wasn't a note posted to indicate the door was broken. I called every number posted outside the door, including the General Manager. As of the date and time of this comment, I have not received a call back from the GM. Someone called me and said that they told me the after hours door was not working when I signed up; however, I have no recollection of being told this, I didn't sign anything acknowledging I was told (and I wouldn't have signed up because I needed access after store hours) and there weren't any signs posted. Additionally I was able to access after hours once or twice after I signed up so, in my opinion, that supports my position that I was not informed about the door. The day after I wasn't able to access my unit, I got off work early to get to the office because I thought it was just a access card issue. That's when I was told the door wasn't working and no one had any idea when the door would be fixed. The staff recommended I contact the GM but of course that was useless because I'd already done so and hadn't received a response. I ended up submitting a customer action report (#3164929) and the GM still didn't have the courtesy to contact me. A different worker contacted me, stating what I outlined above. This was by far the worse experience I've ever had with any storage or moving service. I find value in Uhaul trucks but will never use a storage unit.Kamisi M. | Overall Experience

I like the first person who received the tow dolly. However when I returned the 20ft. Truck, the lady was rude. I asked how long I need to wait. She abruptly said ( I am doing payroll I don't have time for you and the other girl is busy.) I asked her for a receipt and she said I should have done it online if I wanted that. I never received a confirmation from anyone my rental was checked in. When i told her the key only opened the passenger door she syed and said ( I got it loudly ). It was the rudest attitude. The only reason I say this is because the associate who made our contract was supposed to charge me for the 24 hour access, a mistake was made and it was not put on there. I had to return the 15 foot moving truck by 1:45 AM. We made it there just in time to unload and check the truck in. I tried to open the after hour door, it said sorry not in service. We attempted to call the GM many times, we had to sit out in 55 degree weather with our stuff sitting in the parking lot right out side the sliding door until someone came at 6:50 and opened the door for us to begin to load it into our unit. Our main issue was that no one would answer at the after-hour help number. Other than that it was great, the location is beautiful and very well maintained.Jolene H. | First Impressions
