The customer service there is exceptional. I got booked by two kind women that made the process easy and made me feel safe about storing my items. They are very helpful in the office. They would constantly check up on me. I also liked that there was hand sanitizer and the entrance for safety. Mahalo for all! I would definitely take my business there and recommend UHaul to others.

Everyone and everything was great. Just a minor thing. The return of the vehicle... just thought there was a “yard” per se to bring vehicle in. But we understood the situation with the location. But overall check in to return was all very very simple and easy. Signing the contract, everything was thoroughly explained and even after we returned the van and I had questions, the staff went out of their way to assist me. Thank you for everything and we will definitely use this location again.

The ignition on the truck was very tricky to engage even with the directions that were provided. Truck did not have a ramp so loading my apartment was more difficult then it needed to be. Was not impressed with the service.

Extremely helpful office staff - both at the point of reservation back in March and move out this week. The storage unit was reserved at the last minute to move my daughter out of the University of Hawaii under stressful circumstances. The office team helped make sure we reserved the right unit (not too big, too small) for the contents we had. Just appreciated working with a staff that was so kind. Thank you!!

This location, by far is the best one! From customer service, to speed, to convenience to just about everything was outstanding. Super friendly staff and made my experience one that will last a lifetime. I've finally found my permanent location to rent from. And the best thing, is that its a 5 minute walk from my house! I plan on doing a detailed explanation of the UHaul facility in Kakaako later. I was falsely accused of something, and even as I type this today, I still don't know what it is. Someone by the name of Keisha prevented me from parking on the street because she wanted a customer to park in that spot. That CUSTOMER was white and I am a person of color. That CUSTOMER was renting a van? for the day. I was a CUSTOMER that has never NEVER been LATE on a payment going back to 2017. Talked to the General Manager, Ipo. She told me Keaisha had no right telling me not to park on the street. Someone from the C&C had stopped by to inform UHAUL, that the street was PUBLIC parking. Ipo said she will tell Keisha she was wrong. Since then, Keisha had an attitude towards me and then approached me one day saying she was going to have me evicted for doing two things I never heard of. I kept asking her what she was talking about, but she just walked away yelling at me that I WILL BE EVICTED. In a matter of hours, Ipo told me I was being evicted. I have since talked to a few customers who have acknowledged how Keisha verbally attacks people of color and threatened many with eviction. If you are a person of color, UHAUL in Kakaako may not be a wise choice for you. It is one of the cheapest storage facilities in Hawaii but we all know what you get when you go cheap.

I was highly impressed with the service from start to finish. Every staff member working on 06/20/2020 was professional and I appreciate the efforts to minimize contact due to COVID-19. One improvement could be to offer cleaning wipes to users who are renting equipment. I brought my own when I rented a van. The van was already clean, but as an extra precaution I wiped down the steering wheel and interior surfaces.

Parking your own car nearby is crazy! And the c as rs parked in the space they have are i assume being used by employees. PRICES=CHECK the milage costs i paid $0.89 a mile wow that's high!

Everything was great until one of the employees accused us of damaging a vehicle, which was not true. They always park a vehicle close to the surfboard storage, which makes it more difficult to get out large paddle boards from that area. The employee said my paddle board dented a pickup truck hood and was trying to charge me for it. He was covering up for his own failure to notice damage from a prior rental. Thankfully the manager was sensible enough to realize the physical impossibility of that situation. Still it was a big hassle.

Your employee, and I'm sorry but I can remember her name. It's been a long hard day. However, I didn't forget her excellent communication skills and courteous people skills. She was also friendly, did not make me feel rushed throughout the transaction and did so in a timely manner. After revealing, I was overdue in picking up my cargo van from the Kilihau store, she offered to notify and change the time which made it convenient for me. OUTSTANDING! I was very grateful and relieved the stress I was facing. When I return to my storage locker today, I will obtain her name and those after her shift to continue this letter of appreciation. My only comment is the door to units is very difficult to manage when you have a cart full of items, it is hard to make the turn and manage to keep both doors open and push the cart by yourself. Just about every time , I struggled with my items falling off the cart. Other than the doors, everything was great!!
