The call center was the most ridiculous experience I’ve ever dealt with. They couldn’t get themselves in order, giving me wrong information sent me four different locations for storage. Outrageous.

Nothing against this location; however, the auto check-in was not giving me an option to return when I read the after hours. I called the next day and got a call center. Long hold. The gentleman said he'd call the location and would send a verification text. I never received this text. I assume the check-in is complete?

Trailer was promised at 9 a.m. Two days before pickup I received a notification that it would not be available until 12 p.m.. I really needed in the morning. They got me one in the morning. I did receive a call the day after I picked up the trailer asking if I still needed a trailer.

She had a very poor attitude , we asked for a paper contract because we do not have a cell phone and our computer was packed and she refused . The truck had damage and weak battery. With no paper contract we tried to return the truck to the location and they had no room and send us to another location .

This U Haul had no customer service to speak of! I waited over 4 and a half hours for a hitch install. I told them I was waiting as it is my only car. I called from a store 2 hours into my wait time and was told another to finish so I returned to the store to find out that they had just started on the install. Why I made an appointment I don’t know. When I asked where I should wait with my baby I was handed a fold up chair and directed to a corner of the store by some boxes. Two plus hours later I finally got my car I expressed my discomfort and frustration to the managers wife and all she said was “ sorry I’ll talk to the guys” . I had my 16 month old with me and I would have much rathered been informed or a 2 hour delay so I could have made other arrangements. I also wasn’t updated while in the store or even Spoken to unless I asked for an update. I will never ever use this U haul again. Even more so because when I called customer service and complained and I was supposed to be contacted by the manager he never called and closed my claim saying he had and we had sorted it out!!

I like U-haul, but very disappointed in the U-Box program. 7-10 business day to move ~500 miles is a long time. This is a days drive away. Day before we were to get our pods we called and found they never shipped. Why 7-10 days? When we called there was no shipping date, not trucking service scheduled to move it, we were never informed of a new date. We had to get things moving for U-Haul to hit the guarantee date. The solution for being behind was $50/day late credit. This means nothing when the whole house is packed up and your in house camping. We spend more on food than $50/day with no utensils/cookware...then add on the difficulty of not having any other stuff. Called U-haul, moved to U-Box, talked with people who had no idea where our stuff was and promised to call back and never did. We had to get a general manager involved who had to get with a trucking company to hit the guaranteed delivery date...just a day drive away, but our stuff was held for 7-10 business days. Also feel like I paid the expedite fee, but it was the normal rate I accepted when decided on U-Box. Just really not impressed...quite disappointed.

The front of the trailer, where my tires had to be, is too high for sport type cars. My air dam got hooked and I had to go out through a window. It just so happened that with this particular car, the windows don’t roll down, so I had to break out a window to escape the rapidly heating interior. It was unpleasant.

I had to do some switching around for where I returned my rental. I wanted a location that had a bigger unit and longer hours of accessibility to the storage unit. I was able to call in and get this switched with no hassle. The return process was super simple.

When I originally reserved the truck, it was to be picked up at U-Haul Moving and Storage of Ammon, ID on Saturday, 18 May. I was called the night of 16 May stating that location would now be closed for the weekend, so I had to change the pickup location. This made it very inconvenient.

Understaffed. Excessively long waits to pick up and drop off the truck even though I reserved online. The 10 ft truck needs a ramp. The return spring on the back door is way too strong. It hurt my shoulder when the door shot up and tried to rip my arm off.

There was some condition concerns with the trailer (wiring exposed and running lights out) I had not used the equupment during night hours so was unaware of the problem and it was not checked at the pickup point. I was told I would have to pay for the repairs but after looking at the damage it was obviously older than my rental period and I was told they would take care of it. Thank You

Asked about a dolly when we arrived to pick up the truck and was assured by the girl at the desk that there was one in the back of our rental truck. However, when we arrived at the location to begin loading our truck, there was no dolly in the truck. Had to stop and waste time to go to the closest Uhaul location to rent a dolly to use.

I turned it into Idaho Falls per 718 MCO TCM and promised that my refund would be processed and sent out. Haven't heard anything since. No refund yet either. Not even a call or confirmation number from HQ. I have another move in three weeks, and honestly, if Uhaul can't help me resolve this and return my money, I'll be searching elsewhere all my moving needs.

The computer system is difficult to use (both for the customers and for the workers at the pickup location). In fact the app would never accept the order numbers, despite the fact that those order numbers are correct. The pick up location did everything that they could to repair the price differences (between what was quoted and the actual price) [possible bait and switch?] and to have both trucks and the trailer at one pick up location instead of two. By the way, Uhaul, sometimes people need more than one truck - there should be an option for that to happen, without having to create a separate order and then having a worker attempt to cancel one of them on behalf of the customer. Thank you for checking with us first. The vehicles were in excellent condition.

there was some confusion by the agent about how the furniture pads were rented, the senior agent/manager there let her make several mistakes before helping, and there was still one mistake that was corrected by the drop off center. I thought the senior person should have weighed in sooner.

Unpaved parking + windy Idaho Falls allows TONS of dust into your unit, burying all your stuff. Rates were outrageous, increase min. of yearly, 24/7 access is extra. Lighting awful in unit after dark.

The uhaul rental in Murray,Utah was very rushed. The uhaul rental return in Idaho falls was excellent and very through. The uhaul rental of Utah gave a code for free storage unit that did not exist.
