After spending a week scheduling a rental, on the day of pickup they tell me that I have to pay for an unpaid balance from some relative of mine had from 4 years ago. This was not my bill but I was blackmailed into paying it if I wanted to get the truck that had been reserved for me. I had already committed to $2,400 in labor for the move and had no choice but to pay it. I left the store feeling that I had just gotten really f#*cked over. The truck that was rented was dirty on the inside and outside. Windshield was full of bugs. The air conditioner was not maintained, therefore not working. Drove in 110 degree heat index with windows down. Very miserable and no truck was replaced for it. Should credit customers for gas in tank over what was rented. The gas tank was 1/8 of a tank. Returned with over a half. I should be refunded the difference considering the cost of gas.Candace C.

Reserved a 15' truck for local use. When I showed up 15' trucks were onsite but all keys were in the drop box and associates could not open the box so I was provided with a 20' truck for the rental of a 15' truck. No big deal just needed the smaller truck for the smaller size.Philip C.
Used the app to rent a 9 foot van and per the app's instructions, I went to the clerks and asked for the key and they treated me like I was stealing the van. Next, the drivers rear tire was flat so I asked Garrett if he could put air in the tire, he proceeded to help 2 other customers who just drove up. 45 minutes later, I'm leaving the facility. The truck broke down upon arrival at the Furniture Store. II immediately called them due to the fact the transmission was stuck in reverse. I was told to call roadside assistance. Beware it's a joke. Be prepared to be aggravated with no discount applied after being stuck in the middle of the parking lot. Blocking the whole entrance and several customers in. Finally my friend decided to look under the truck and discovered that the shift cable had came off. He put it back on and after several hours we were on our way back. I was told they would make an adjustment to the cost. But just like the truck that promise was broken as well. BewareMorris W.

This is not the responsibility of the location but of corporate. I feel it should be made known in advance if a location can participate in the after hours equipment return on the UHaul website or app. I believe that is what the issue was for me when I tried to return a trailer last night. No way to secure the trailer...? ( Had to wait until morning opening hours to return ). The only clue that it isn't going to work is the "continue" button is grayed out preventing the completion of a return. Both UHaul locations (staff), pickup & return, are awesome.Mary S.

I would recommend that the contact person at the purchasing desk always ask the individual if they would need a loading ramp for the move as first-time individuals may not realize that the 10 feet truck has none. I was told about this size for loading a freezer, yet I discovered afterward there was none, and I had to pay the rental for a second truck at the cost of 2 trucks for my move. The truck ran well and was visibly good (externally), but the interior smelled like someone had been smoking a pack-a-day for the truck's life! I had to wipe the haze off the windshield, and it was the orange sticky residue that tobacco smoke leaves. There were also lots of crumbs and debris in the console and cupholders from the previous drivers. I hate to complain since getting a truck that is allowed to actually haul a trailer is hard right now, but a bit of wipe down and vacuum would go a long way.PATRICK R.

Had to prop the side door to remove my belongings because the auto doors didn't work. I assume because it is a security measure. Only thing I don't think that I should pay full amout of monthly rent when I was able to get out of the unit 3 days into the month I just paid. It should be rated by days used for that month and get refunded for the rest of the days I was out for.. I think that would help for uhaul to get more business !! Since hurricane Ida staff got climate control operational as quickly as power allowed. My units were unscathed. While waiting to purchase rope a black lady came to pickup her 26 foot truck. She had a confirmation number. All he would tell her is she had no truck nothing else. She asked what about ones on the lot he said they were for other customers. After she left I asked him if it was because she was black he said no it was because she had reserved on line going one way. Uhaul does this all the time. All his trucks were local only. He could have helped her more. I too was going one way in a 26footer. And was soooooo glad I chose Penske or I too would have loaders to pay & no truck. Shame on uhaulChristy D. | Overall Experience

I am a victim of Hurricane Ida. As soon as your facility was available to me I contacted your office. You were so kind to me and assisted me with all of my concerns. When room came available you called and helped me to start my journey to reconstruct. Everything was explained and I was walked through the process completely. The store was Immaculate and so well stocked. All packaging supplies were available, and explained as per there use. I was able to purchase supplies that I could not find anywhere in town. I never had a time when I absolutely needed storage until this hurricane, and my experience was perfect. My storage number was 1675 and the roof had leaked prior to hurricane ida and I've tried making a claim and went back in forth with the insurance and office personal. Insurance told me to take it up with the office and the office handed me a pamphlet to call the insurance. I've even gotten intouch with the previous owner of the same storage from 2 yrs prior to me having it and they had the same issue. The only problem I have is that I have to pay for the whole month and it isn't prorated for when I leave. I was charged 21st each month and that's fine but I moved out on the 1st and you're able to rent it to someone else and it's like uhaul gets double rent for those amount of days. Less to do with the physical location, but the website and physical site have discrepancies on what is available for units. Reservations made based on units available, but once got there informed nothing of that size available so had to instead utilize two smaller sizes. I reserved a box truck and storage unit online, with a utility dolly, days before I needed it. I went it to pick up the truck and an hour later, I was leaving with the truck. it should not have taken an hour to get the truck I reserved ahead of time. I also bought a lock for the storage unit at this time and they charged me $11.95 instead of $9.95 and it took a long time for the girl to take give me the sale price. About 5 hours later, I came to get into my storage unit and it was locked. I called to have them take their lock off and had to wait again. I returned the truck about 5 hours earlier than expected when the staff was still in the office. The guy looked over the truck and told me what my balance was. I wanted a printed receipt so I went inside the office to get one. There I was that I was billed for 2 utility dollys, even though we only had one. The office girl was unable to refund the me the second $7 charge.Two days later, I am still waiting for my refund.
