Driver side mirror was not in good working order. It moved with the wind and when you stepped on the brakes. It made switching lanes and backing up difficult. Overall truck was clean but dated. I would rent from here again.Brian A.

Reserved a 26ft truck 3 weeks before moving date and ended up with a 6x12 open trailer. That is terrible costumer service especially when people are counting on the moving instrument they reserved to move from one town over or state! Won't be going back to UHaul again! The employees at the location were great. But the lack of inventory is making Uhaul as a whole look very bad. The employees are having to turn people away with reservations due to over/double booking and low inventory. Thanks to the lady that also had the same exact truck as me booked I was able to make the deliveries to all of the families for Christmas.JOSEPH S.

We used u-haul location 133 Monarch Dr in Houma Louisiana. One week prior to moving I reserved a 20' truck going one way with a quote of $140. The day before my scheduled pickup date, I received I both a text message and a phone call from an employee who worked at the 133 monarch location, informing me that a 20' truck would be available at the 133 Monarch location and would be available for pickup after 10:00. Upon arrival, I was told that they DID NOT have a one way truck available but I could rent another truck that had to be brought back to 133 Monarch location which increased the rental fee by roughly $240, not to me the huge inconvenience of of both time and money to return the truck. The only option I was given was â€œtake it or leave itâ€ I believe this is a SCAM!! This area has been hit hard by the recent hurricane Ida, and I believe U-haul especially this location is taking advantage of people who are in need. VERY, VERY, poor management! VERY VERY poor customer service! I WILL NOT USE U-HAUL again for any future services.ROBERT O.

Since hurricane Ida staff got climate control operational as quickly as power allowed. My units were unscathed. While waiting to purchase rope a black lady came to pickup her 26 foot truck. She had a confirmation number. All he would tell her is she had no truck nothing else. She asked what about ones on the lot he said they were for other customers. After she left I asked him if it was because she was black he said no it was because she had reserved on line going one way. Uhaul does this all the time. All his trucks were local only. He could have helped her more. I too was going one way in a 26footer. And was soooooo glad I chose Penske or I too would have loaders to pay & no truck. Shame on uhaulChristy D. | Overall Experience

If you have a reservation for 3:00 pm have it ready to go at 3:00 p.m. it took 32 minutes to check in and out but they didn't add that half hour to the leased out time, it still had to be returned in 5 hours, so we barely made it.Rhonda C.

I reserved a 15 foot truck four day early and I arrived at the time I was to pick up my truckâ€¦. They didn't have my truck and were rude and told me that I was supposed to have call in response to an email that I didn't getâ€¦. I did receive a text just moments before I arrived thoughâ€¦ I had to rent a smaller truck from them, that cost me more than twice what it should have because I had to make lots of trips to move. The thing that really upset me was there were several of the trucks and larger one setting on there lot all day. I asked about those trucks and was told that they were reserved for other peopleâ€¦. My question wasâ€¦. What about meâ€¦. I had a reservation and was there at the correct timeâ€¦. I will not use haul again and will tell everyone I canâ€¦. Very mad!!!!,DONALD G.

The rental was due back on 10/20/21. I returned it on 10/18/21, but was never returned in the system. I called multiple times and went back to the facility where I dropped it off ; the vehicle was not there and was still listed under my rental. This presented me with extra liability and possible overages if I would not have checked on this. Completely unacceptable!Brent L.

I am a victim of Hurricane Ida. As soon as your facility was available to me I contacted your office. You were so kind to me and assisted me with all of my concerns. When room came available you called and helped me to start my journey to reconstruct. Everything was explained and I was walked through the process completely. The store was Immaculate and so well stocked. All packaging supplies were available, and explained as per there use. I was able to purchase supplies that I could not find anywhere in town. I never had a time when I absolutely needed storage until this hurricane, and my experience was perfect. There is a great staff available for all my needs and I can say that this was the best experience I've ever had at a very trying time of my life. I was blessed.DONALEEN C. | First Impressions

My experience was terrible. I drove from New Orleans to Houma with my own trailer to pick up a new lawnmower. The mower was too big to fit on my trailer. The UH location was directly across the street from the lawnmower dealership. I went to UH and told the manager that I needed to transport a new mower that was 68â€ wide. She said they rented 6' trailers. I told her that should work. I rented the trailer and then headed back across the street to pickup the mower. She did not mention that the gate on the trailer was only 5.5' wide. Immediately after we figured out that the mower didn't fit on this trailer either I went back to UH and told them about the gate problem but they said I left their property so they would not refund my rental fee. I didn't have time to argue with them so the next day I reached out to UH for a refund. I was transferred around on the phone for over an hour of total hold time. I finally got to someone in Customer Service and explained what had happened. After being on hold for about 15 minutes I got disconnected. Soon after that I received an email saying I had left the property so they would not be refunding my $38 rental charge. Believe me, it is not the $38 rental feeâ€¦ it's the principal. I feel as though UH ripped me off. So here is my review. MY EXPERIENCE WITH UH WAS TERRIBLE !!!THOMAS N.

The manager and staff are terrific but the aisles are too narrow. You cannot turn corners with loaded carts. This is a big problem. Have to take off cart and Manually and physically maneuver the load Everything else is nice but it is Too difficult Getting load in and out.
