The whole scheduling process is horrible. I came in and scheduled a pick up in libertyville and drop off in Chicago and was guaranteed a call 3 days prior to my move date. No call. Walked in 2 days prior and told you'd get a call by 5pm the day before the move. Went in 5pm the day before my move with no call and left with no answer. Call back told me they didn't have a truck one way drop off the night before my move. I ordered this truck 3 weeks ago. How is the closet truck 49 miles from libertyville. The facility, staff and process were outstanding and I'll definitely use again. The only issue was likely specific to my vehicle, a 2021 Honda Ridgeline. The hooks for the chains were so big they were extremely difficult to get through the eyelets on my factory hitch, both when installing and even more so when removing the chains from the eyelets. Took the staff member and I each about 5 minutes of goofing around to get them out. Not a problem in any way with the equipment, just curious if perhaps smaller or differently shaped hooks could be used in the future to make them easier to pass through more unusually sized or shaped eyelets like the one on my Ridgeline. Had to travel 2 hours round trip to pick up my trailer that I reserved weeks prior to reservation. Then when I returned it 2 days early, I was charged a "after hours" fee because the drop off location was closed. Attempted to use the self check - in return feature, which wouldn't track my location properly on my phone. Over charged and underserviced. Never again uhaul.KENNETH C.
After-hours check-in: would be helpful to have prominently posted instructions regarding website procedures and photos of mileage and gas. We went here on the morning of saturday and there was a gentleman by the name of Kurt, I believe he was the general general manager, he was amazing and knew what he was doing and got us out of there very quickly and was very pleasant. The issue I had was when I was returning the truck, I went inside and stood there with my wife for about 15 minutes and and the person behind the counter by the name of Ian didn't even bother acknowledging that we were standing there for 15 minutes and did not communicate to us at all. Then when I watched him eating behind the counter and I asked him if he could but help us return the truck and he said no I can't help you you have to do this on the app And if you don't have the app you have to go on you have to go on the Web browser and return the truck that way because I'm busy. For one minute I saw him on the phone and that was it , he did not want to help us at all . That made me go on the Web browser and try to return the truck that way and download that way and that was so inconvenient that it said it could not find any orders with my name and then naturally I called customer service and it said that my service and it said that my whole time would be 44 minutes.. While I was doing all this and waiting there for 20 minute all this and waiting there for 20 minutes, another gentleman came in who helped us return the truck. Ian just did not want to help us or acknowledge us and just did not want to help us at all and that will be the reason why we will not go to this uhaul location or recommend it to anyone else. It took an extremely long time for any of the workers to even acknowledge that I was waiting at the register as they walked by. It took about 30 minutes to return the truck I rented even though I was the only person in line. The truck was clean and ready for pick-up at the scheduled time.BRADLEY E.

When I first got there, no one seemed to be available. Maybe have a doorbell or some kind of intercom so your customer knows you're on your way back inside the store. All about communication. Once inside, he got me checked out fairly quickly. Very satisfied.BARBARA M.

Location was good. Truck terrible. I think the ball joints are shot. I had to steering correct every one or two seconds for the entire drive to keep the truck in the lane. Very exhausting for a 740 mile drive. Truck Should be checked by mechanic.JOHN R.

Fill up the tank! My rental cost me about $25 more in gas as I had to guess how much to put in to equal where the guage was when I picked it up. I ALWAYS get burned on this from U-HAUL. I think you rip people off by charging them for returning rentals without filling up, then NOT using the over inflated gas price to fill it ip yourself. If you never actually fill up the tank, then why would you charge someone a fee for using the previous customers gas? It is a U-HAUL scam.John M.
When I entered the store I overheard a customer discussing how he was overcharged. When I returned my vehicle after @2hrs I was charged for driving well over 150 miles. I made a 25mile trip. The clerk then asked me to step aside so he could help gentlemen who had JUST entered the store. He said he would calculate my total and email me later. I reiterate that NO you are helping me and you should complete my transaction â€œnowâ€ instead of later calculating â€œhowâ€ I drove over 150 miles in 2 hrs. He literally responded as if he was defeated....so does your store make a habit of overcharging certain people?CYNTHIA W.

My only concern is I pulled this trailer 800 miles and worried the entire way a little because no spare tire. I know you just call for repair but on 65 in Indiana there are some lonely parts of the road. I was on a short timeline a flat and wait for repair would of made me miss my appointment.TERRY Z.
after using a few different locations in other states so far this one has been the best by fair the gentleman that assisted me was very attentive and helpful. even though there were folks on hand doing construction this loacltion was still cleaner than others no debris in the parking lot trash cans not running over with trash and other employees dressed for a business no ripped or torn paints shirts clean not stained in all I would say that some of the othe loacations could learn something from this one.
