When turned on the truck it showed had 3/4 tank of gas. Which I had to do this and select before I could get keys to drive. As soon as I pull forward the gas hand moved to almost a half. Due to this I had to pay 50 in gas to put it back to 3/4 which it actually was not. Need to get trucks fixed where gas hand is right. With gas prices as they are this is ridiculous.Rebecca R.

Everything was fine when I departed until I made it 5 miles down the road and noticed I needed gas already, do I filled up the tank and went on my way to my destination. When I returned the truck, after refilling gas to the halfway mark, as I agreed, I was told tough luck and I should havetook a picture of the gas hand before departure and how I was suppose to walk around and inspect thetruck before I left. I don't work for UHaul and I was NOT told to do any inspection. I asked to borrow a truck and I paid for it yet I feel I was taken advantage of because UHaul didn't fulfill their agreement. Not only that...the worst part is your employees make like I'm lying when I make the statement there wasn't a half tank of gas from the beginning. This was my first experience with UHaul and it will be the LAST!!!!Sally C.

I returned the rental van a couple hours late and I called to inform U-Haul if this fact. It was a little dirty on the inside maybe, gas was on 3/4 tank. I was charged 76.$ after I returned the van and have no clue what for and no one has contacted me about it!Samuel A.

Waited in line for about 45 minutes before I was assisted. The air conditioner was out in the building, so the employees were complaining about that for a majority of the time, and took another 10 minutes to actually drive over to assist with hooking the trailer up to the truck. Trailer that was assigned was inaccessible so representative changed it to a different trailer. This tongue on the trailer was not stable, the little tab that keeps the hitch on the tongue from loosening was worn out, so the tongue was not very secure on the trailer (We improvised and used a bungee cord to keep the tab in place and keep it from loosening up).Nicholas D.
I would have rated my overall experience as excellent, however it was a huge disappointment to learn at the very end of my experience that I was unable to receive a prorated amount in return. Normally I would not be inclined to share my experience unless it was above and beyond a positive experience, however, in this case, I am beyond with disappointment. Both office personnel and janitorial staff made me feel unwelcome and disrespected. For the insane price they charged, beyond dissatisfying customer service in several instances and ignorance towards me being in their facility after almost an entire year of committed rental and furthermore with my service animal, I will never use this facility again. Where is quality control when you need it? I do not recommend uhaul in Greenwood. Someone should also remind employees of the basic legalities of interrogation of an individual with a service animal. Check in was extremely slow even though I was the only customer. I had reserved two hand trucks and one furniture dolly and this location DID NOT have any. What is the point of reserving in advance and receiving a confirmation call the day before and never telling me that moving equipment was not available. Very unsatisfactory. I ended up buying a hand truck just so I get get going and not miss the loading crew that I was made late in meeting up with. That crew is paid by the hour and I wasted good money there. The clerk had offered to see if other locations had the moving equipment available. When I asked if the equipment would be delivered to my site she said no, I would need to run around to get it. When I asked for a reduction in the rental fee she said â€œthat is above my pay gradeâ€. I do not recommend this location.Linda J.
The fuel usage was incorrect and I was overcharged for fuel. I pre estimated 30 miles of travel round trip and I know I only travel 15 miles. I was expecting a refund of the some of the monies I paid for fuel and I was charged another $9 31 for whatever after input in $25.00 if additional fuel to put it back to 3/8 th of a tank full after I checked the fuel when I started and it read 1/4th of a tank full. This site wasn't the site I reserved my rental from. I was supposed to pick up my rental at Products USA in Abbeville SC. I arrived early. The owner was not there...his kids called him and he asked whether I had a reservation, which I told him that I did. He said that we would be at the location in 5 - 6 mins, 25 mins later he was a no show and I called this location and got a rental. I was not able to get the dollies I need to and had in my rental agreement only a utility dolly. This rental place called me at 9 in the morning stating that I was suppose to return it when I repeatedly told the lady that I needed the truck for 24 hours. I called the 800 number and spoke with Joseph who straighten out the time discrepancy. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with all of this. I wouldn't suggest the Uhaul rental location Product USA to anyone.Dedra C.

I've rented from this Uhaul place in the past several times, and never had an issue, but my last rental wasn't so great. The mileage on the truck was different than what they put on the paperwork, and so was the fuel guage. They said it was on 3/4 of a tank when truly it was 5/8 of a tank. Not sure if this was purposeful, but they said they would address the issue. Well it seems they still overcharged me. I won't be going back to that location if that's how they treat their customers..Parker A.

The location did not have what I ordered. They did not have it at nearby locations either. Finally they offered to give us a larger truck for the same price. We took the truck because we NEEDED it, but it was not convenient at all! It cost more in gas and is much harder to drive. Working this out with the people took so long. Some people have to work a normal work schedule. This was SO stressful and the fact that it wasn't all comped is crazy to me. I think its very bad for business, but hey, I'm not the one running the company. I am sorry if this seems rude, but uhaul is supposed to make the moving process less stressful, but it LITERALLY did the exact opposite for me and my family members helping me.Christine C.

College parent who has been using this business for 3 years. We have rented a van twice per year and have a storage unit for three years on a year long basis. We have always been treated with respect and professionalism. However, this past month we had a overcharge discrepancy with regard to mileage driven/gas usage and charges associated with said services. Take pictures to prove your in/out mileage and tank, it is what saved us! Unfortunately, I left a small box (pocket sized) filled with cash in the vehicle (my bad)! But when I returned no more than 10 minutes later it could not be located. Management assured me none of her employees was responsible. Again, I left it so my bad-but really?!! Management reviewed surveillance cameras but did not see anything! I'm not sure what happened but I don't have my cash ($40+). I sure am disappointed.Veronica E.

My wife and I didn't have a great experience. We didn't get all of the pertinent information from the employee that assisted us for this being our very first time utilizing your services. We were never told up front about the $20 after hours fee to return the truck, he was too busy trying to talk to the police about a woman who claimed some guy was supposed to be returning a truck that hadn't returned as they were supposed to. The gas hand wasn't on the half tank mark when we got it. (Pictures were taken to prove it.) The employee was notified of this and the actual correct mileage because what he wrote down was wrong prior to us leaving.Brandon P.

We arrived at the store for a 9AM reservation and the store was not open. A district manager had to be called because the general manager had not shown up to open the store and they had to send someone else in to open. The store was not open until 9:30 am putting us late getting to our next destination. We asked about a discount due to what happened and the person did not even try to assist us with that or try to find out. I was shocked to find out that they only had 6 blankets and not the 36 I have requested. I was not allowed to contact them ahead of time either. Pins on rear gate/ramp bent. Hand to use hammer to remove. Rest of the trailer was in good shape. Ended up not being able to use the trailer. The opening on the back was to small to allow the item I need to haul to fit in. So really did not use the trailer. My reservation to pick up my vehicle was the major problem. The one on my reservation had me come back an hour later than scheduled but it was close to home, so I didn't mind too much. When I went back, I was directed to UHaul 4 miles away. This messed up my schedule for an out of town errand & appointment. Then, they were short handed and waiting put me a total of nearly 2 hours late! I had to cancel my appointment and when I bought the truck back, I had to go thru the turn in process on my phone! My move in experience was not great. No one seemed to know what was going on and it took around 20 minutes just to get the information I needed. The workers seemed high or drunk, I had to ask them to repeat themselves several times because they were mumbling. Apparently they also did not set up auto pay for me when THEY STORED MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, so my unit was locked and I had to pay a late fee the next month. I called ahead to let the staff know I would vacate. I then also notified them when I began vacating and when I finished (same day). They did not close out my rental for over a month, so I got continued billing and threats against my credit right at Christmas 2021. This became an ordeal to resolve. If you rent, then get it in writing that you are cleared. Then confirm it to corporate, and get them to send a conformation email. The building is nice. Can never reach anyone on the phone. When you get there in person you have to wait 20-30 minutes for someone to show up to the desk. Had ordered a smaller unit but when I arrived they told me it wasn't availble and that there was 4 always in the system for some reason. So i had to pay more for a bigger unit. Also then found out it wasn't 24 hour access UNLESS YOU PAY $10 extra a month for it. I've been moved out of there since the end of September and I am still receiving "payment past due" letters from them even though I told them I was moving out 2 weeks before my payment due date. The entry system is ridiculous. You have to go to one side of the door and swipe the card (usually more than once because it was always acting up) to log into the system then go to the other side of the door where you have to swipe your card again and input a code. Then the automatic sliding door will open. But god forbid you are in the process of going in and out at 7pm. The system relocks and you have to do the process over and over until it let's you back in. Hands down the worst storage facility I have used and it's not the people working there. It's the fact that it is a quasi corporate owned facility. That sunk millions of dollars into renovating the space and now the franchise is indebted to them to the point where corporate dictates their labor budget because they pay so much to "headquarters". I have never seen more than 1 person on duty at a time. With that being said; it being such a large facility and depending on what is going on that day, it is almost impossible to get help at the desk or on the phones. I literally called everyday for 3 or 4 hours for at least 3 weeks and never got someone at the place. Not even corporate answered the phones. A month or so after I moved in my online username and password stopped working, and I couldnt recieve the 'reset password' emails. The whole experience put a bad taste in my mouth and will be very cautious in the future looking and using uhaul owned facilities.Dylan P. | Overall Experience

We called 1-800-uhaul before hand and the man said he put in that in writing that if we were there by seven we wouldn't be considered late. We got there by 6:43pm and the girl was not there 100%. She was more concerned about getting off work. The card didn't work 3 times. The storage Unit was not reserved like they said it would be. Had I not went up to her in her car she would have driven off without making sure the customers need was tended to. The building wouldn't allow us in after authorizing three separate cards. Not sure if she was incompetent or if her manager should be more aware that more training should be done before they leave her alone to tend to customers. Now I get the bill and they charged me for an extra day??? Not at all happy. We had to now use three separate units because our original supposed reservation was not reserved. Why can't all uhaul / storage places talk openly and know what the right had is telling the left hand? There was no communication whatsoever! Talk about someone putting all their care into a companies hands and now I feel like we made a huge mistake because everything seemed like nobody at uhaul cared!! We really enjoyed our storage experience with Greenwood Uhaul storage. Great location, and nice safe area. My favorite part was the two loading docks. We were able to move in rain or shine without worrying because of the loading areas. I wish they had more place like this one. We loved talking with Rene. She was always around cleaning. I rented two 20ft trucks and was given two 10x10 units for storage.the guy in greenwood South Carolina would not honor that order. Then one truck was to be returned in Greenville South Carolina and I would save $100 off cost, yeah well not how it went down.Michael V. | First Impressions
