The trailer was supposed to be picked up in Plano. when I got there the attendant said the trailer had not come in yet. I was never notified before about this. sent me to another U-Haul location 10 miles back from the Plano location.

Rental truck had badly warped brake rotors and was dangerous to drive. Truck should have never been approved for rental but I had no chouice as I was limited on time. Braking was so bad tat it almost caused me to have an accident. Also, I rented this truck online about 3 weeks ago for a specific price, When I arrived at the renatl location, they indicated the price was doubled. After I threw a fit, Sonny (store clerk) made it right but this was completelky unacceptable in the firtst place to try and charge me what had been set in the renatal agreement in the first place. I will not recommend UHaul to my friends and Family and the mechanical condition of the brakes put my at extreme risk. Completekly unacceptable.

I reserved a 26 foot, but when I arrived they didn't have it. So I subtle with the 20 foot. The truck wasn't ready. And to be honest I really needed the 26 foot, but we had people waiting to help move we didn't have the time to drive everywhere looking for the truck. so we had to make 2 trips. Little bit of inconvenience. Uhual did call me earlier in the week to tell me they didn't have the size I needed at the location I originally reserved, so they transferred it to this other location. The Gentlemen did tell us that they somehow over booked everything. Definitely need to improve on communicating on what they have and what they don't have before customers arriving.

Windshield was Filthy, Washer and wiper system could not clear it. Front Brake rotors were Warped So bad the whole truck Shook while Braking. I had to keep it a day longer than expected, and was called and told it would be reported stolen if I didn't return it that day. I asked the associate if he could add a Day to my contract, he said no.

Staff tried to charge me double the price even though I had made an online reservation and guaranteed it with my credit card and showed her my price. Said it didn't matter what my online reservation said and that it probably tax. Had to argue with her that tax is now that much and she was very rude. Then she finally redid my reservation and got the correct price. She never apologize for her original error and being so rude. Then I Waited outside for 20 min for someone to come out and get the trailer and when they attached it the didn't pull it out they just moved it up a little and stuck it on my hitch at a full 45 degree angle. There were trailers on both side of it and also on the other side of my car so no way I was going to be able to pull it out without hitting another trailer. I had to unhitch it myself and pull the trailer out further and reattach In order to pull it out without damaging the trailers on each sides of it. Will never rent from this location again.

Not many areas to park the car when picking up the truck, maybe better utilization on parking lot. BUT I also want to point out that my rating is 5 stars all because Sonny at the Garland location. He had the best customer service I have seen in a long time. When I couldn't start my pick up on the app, he handled it on the computer right away and was very funny. He made the experience super enjoyable and he is a great employee of your company,

if its going to take that long to process a rental, then more people need to be hired to process check outs of the rental equipment. Fortunately I was early for the reservation I'd made on line, and only 3rd in line. Several more people arrived as I waited for the 2 people in front of me to get processed. As renting a UHaul is not something that people do on a frequent repetitive basis, you cannot expect that they will download the UHaul App & know how to use it. Thus more people need to be available to process the rentals.

Hire people inside who are actually interested in helping customers in a timely manner especially when there is a line of 10 people. Then the lady sent us out there and we had no idea which truck was ours bc no one told us until we finally got the guy outside to help. Now HE was helpful - he was a tall, strongly built African-American gentleman wearing glasses? I think who actually helped us. So thank you to HIM but that's about it!!

Overall, it was a very good experience. The only challenge was when one of the representatives connected our car onto the transport. About two hours into our trip, we pulled over and one of the tires had completely lost the transport attachment. It was put on incorrectly. We quickly watched a YouTube video and set it up properly. After that, we had no more issues and our trip was 24 hours long. Please make certain that the staff as well trained on how to connect automobiles to transports so that no one has safety issues again.

Employee turned me away and instructed me to take equipment to a different location, after I informed him that I would not do that he started screaming at me and telling me that he would not take the equipment. I informed him that I had scheduled to drop off the equipment at that location and would not drive anywhere else unless uhaul paid for me to drive their equipment elsewhere, he got mad continued to scream at me then proceeded to disconnect the equipment from my truck. A person that makes and environment on business a threatening one should not be working for costumer services. I will consider using a different company in the future.

When I drop my U-Haul off they had closed but there are still employees at the location I had a hard time due to it being my first time renting however I filled it up halfway and returned items the second day like told, I had no idea how to do anything and I didn't know before putting the keys in the box that I had to report online, I turned it in the box before reporting online and any employee could've told me that however they disregarded me at the location I dropped off in Garland Texas. I was hoping I wouldn't get overcharged because of the employees however I think the payment is fine and I truly hope I parked in the right spot.

Awesome experience. I don't usually leave reviews but I was compelled to do so in this instance because it was such a great experience for us. We rented a one way truck from Garland, TX to Edmond, OK. The guys on both ends were super helpful from a thorough explanation of the return process to check in our truck even though we showed up 20 minutes after the shop closed. Highly recommend Uhaul for any of your moving needs.

The gentleman handling my rental trailer pick up was outstanding. The only disappointing fact was that he was the only employee present and had to do everything himself including working the front desk and then helping people outside to hook up a trailer. How do you only have one person at such a large facility especially on a Saturday? I have to say though that this lone person was awesome at his job and had a great attitude!

Wait time too long in lobby. They need more than one person working the counter and more than one person working the vehicles in the lot. The Regional Dispatch person on the phone and the person at the counter said I would be credited unused time (I only needed 28 hours instead of 2 full days). When I returned, they said uhaul does not credit unused time and then acted like they didn't care that 2 other uhaul employees told me the opposite.

Took the man in front of me more than half an hour to rent his trailer and in the end his paperwork still wasn't right. When staff came in and told the employee it was a problem she replied she would not fix it and to get someone else. I reserved my unit online but still had to spend 15 minutes with the employee and do it all over again. I was only able to get mine done properly because the manager finally came in to fix the female employee's previous problem she refused to fix. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER. All of the staff outside were polite, friendly, and helpful. Inside was just the one woman who barely knew what she was doing. When I left there were at least 3 people waiting behind me. If Sunday is busy please staff the counter better or at least with someone competent. Worst experience renting a unit I've ever had at any facility. Will not ever rent here again when my free month is up.

I tried to cancel my unit since I evacuated my unit many times, including requests with regard to my missing items but the uhaul would not facilitate the process. Hate them. I rented a TRUCK ONLY for my brother back in 2018. Upon returning the truck my brother needed a rental and their lazy employee decided to put a rental unit in my name WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and then has been harassing me four 3 years about a unit I DID NOT RENT NOR HAVE ANY ITEMS IN SAID FACILITY. I have told them this on several occasions, even talked to their manager there as well but yet they still continued to harass me for payment. This ridiculous and a lazy employee that didn't want to do their job and change all the information over and it has caused me nothing but headaches over the last few years.

My 10 x 10 storage unit was on the 2nd floor. I stored furniture and some larger items in it while our new house was being finished. When I went to remove the items, the freight elevator was out of service ... and it had been like that for over one month. Therefore, we had to take all of those items down two flights of stairs ... that should not have happened if they fixed the elevator soon after it broke down. I would not advice anyone to store items above the ground floor.

The facility itself was fine but the staff at the facility is what brings the score down, except one grey haired gentleman who had owner on his badge and he is not the owner listed on the website. But, the owner on the website was just as rude as any employee there. When I went to access the unit, my access card was no longer valid and, an extra lock was on the unit. I was told it was because I did not use an approved lock style. Well, it seems my lock was working just fine because no one broke into my unit. And, what was really funny, the people who were locked out for non-payment had the same style lock I had on mine. So, I guess my lock did do the job correctly. Basically, they wanted me to buy a lock from them and since I did not I was locked out of my own unit. What really made the experience even better was, the manager/owner had to break into the lock he had put on my unit because they had lost the key. It took him all of 3 min, once he had all the tools and such with him, to get into my unit. How secure was this lock? I know my combination so it only took me 15 seconds and no tools. To wrap it up, I paid my bill on time. Had my unit locked with a solid lock and, was locked out of my unit electronically and with an "approved" lock. Basically, I don't plan on using U-Haul storage units any longer. I paid my bill on-time each and every quarter and left the unit in the shape it was when I first rented it over 2 years ago. I moved to another facility which was lower priced, larger, easier to access and, has friendly staff. Also our move was made difficult because someone had put a couch into the middle of the hallway and no one had moved it in over 2 weeks. I bet the couch is still sitting there as of this writing 4 days after moving out.
