The staff was awesome

MICHAEL GThe lot was small without clear signage for what to park where- like overnight returns. The system was having issues so I could not use my phone to upload my ID. It took 30 minutes to check in as there was only one associate bouncing between 3 customers and the phone. The UHaul app is slow. Was not a great experience, but not the associate's fault.

DOMINIQUE BThe truck that I rented had small issues with the driver side door does not close all the way. I had to pull hard to slam it shut so that the door open light to go off. Also notice that the battery was getting weak and needs a replacement soon. It was getting colder the next few days and did not want to get stuck with a uhaul with a battery issue. Also I wished that u haul would offer discounts at time for truck rental. A reward program or something. Gracias

Makinzie ATrailer had not been swept out prior to my rental. Debris left in it included nails and screws among common debris. It was returned far cleaner than picked up.

Tyrus AOnly said no to "Were the personnel helpful?" since they were closed and no one was there to assist. I do have a complaint though. Upon returning the truck and going through the return process via the app, to my surprise, there was an attempt to charge me I believe $30 for a cleanup fee. I was not happy at all with this because I was never forewarned beforehand that this would be something to expect. I folded the blankets nice & neat to avoid the $25 charge, I swept the load area of the truck, and I wiped down with the sleeve of the sweater the cabin area as best I could. I did my part in cleaning the truck after I was finished with it. With that being said, I refused to pay the cleaning fee within the app since that was an option on the app. It said something to the effect of "disagree with a charge". So I selected the option then it never asked for charge again which I'm glad because I cleaned the truck after using it. Bottom line, please don't sneak in a charge like that without giving a heads up about said charge during the reservation process when I'm trying to get a quote for the vehicle online. It felt very dishonest to me

Laura J | Overall ExperienceThe central AC system has been broken since at least April and rather than turning it off they choose to let it pump hot air in from the outside, which in Texas, I was able to clock 128 on a thermometer in the second floor. I would call that false advertisement of 'climate control' I moved out because I am unable to go through my belongings for more than 5 minutes at a time. It's unusable in this condition.

charles R | Online Move InIn the beginning I was forced to choose a locker on second floor using stairs after securing a street level locker one week before move in. I secured a 17 ft truck one month earlier and one week checkup with facility and move out day was given with out warning a 15 ft truck which caused me an etra trip paying two men 125 ea and hr wage. Which caused me an extra 250. In cost. I was lied to. And I was not professionally handled and forced to use a locker on second floor wit an elevator hard to use and broke down making moving much harder. I do believe this manager forced me on purpose to use that second floor locker. There is other suspicious information I would like to explain but too much to add here.!!! Clarence R Powell

They offset the wait time with awesome customer service. Even with apparent shortcomings, the staff still gives their best forward. When staff came in and told the employee it was a problem she replied she would not fix it and to get someone else. I reserved my unit online but still had to spend 15 minutes with the employee and do it all over again. I was only able to get mine done properly because the manager finally came in to fix the female employee's previous problem she refused to fix. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER. All of the staff outside were polite, friendly, and helpful. Inside was just the one woman who barely knew what she was doing. When I left there were at least 3 people waiting behind me. If Sunday is busy please staff the counter better or at least with someone competent. Worst experience renting a unit I've ever had at any facility. Will not ever rent here again when my free month is up.

Upon returning the truck my brother needed a rental and their lazy employee decided to put a rental unit in my name WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and then has been harassing me four 3 years about a unit I DID NOT RENT NOR HAVE ANY ITEMS IN SAID FACILITY. I have told them this on several occasions, even talked to their manager there as well but yet they still continued to harass me for payment. This ridiculous and a lazy employee that didn't want to do their job and change all the information over and it has caused me nothing but headaches over the last few years.

When I went to remove the items, the freight elevator was out of service ... and it had been like that for over one month. Therefore, we had to take all of those items down two flights of stairs ... that should not have happened if they fixed the elevator soon after it broke down. I would not advice anyone to store items above the ground floor.

BERDA S | First ImpressionsThe facility itself was fine but the staff at the facility is what brings the score down, except one grey haired gentleman who had owner on his badge and he is not the owner listed on the website. But, the owner on the website was just as rude as any employee there. When I went to access the unit, my access card was no longer valid and, an extra lock was on the unit. I was told it was because I did not use an approved lock style. Well, it seems my lock was working just fine because no one broke into my unit. And, what was really funny, the people who were locked out for non-payment had the same style lock I had on mine. So, I guess my lock did do the job correctly. Basically, they wanted me to buy a lock from them and since I did not I was locked out of my own unit. What really made the experience even better was, the manager/owner had to break into the lock he had put on my unit because they had lost the key. It took him all of 3 min, once he had all the tools and such with him, to get into my unit. How secure was this lock? I know my combination so it only took me 15 seconds and no tools. To wrap it up, I paid my bill on time. Had my unit locked with a solid lock and, was locked out of my unit electronically and with an "approved" lock. Basically, I don't plan on using U-Haul storage units any longer. I paid my bill on-time each and every quarter and left the unit in the shape it was when I first rented it over 2 years ago. I moved to another facility which was lower priced, larger, easier to access and, has friendly staff. Also our move was made difficult because someone had put a couch into the middle of the hallway and no one had moved it in over 2 weeks. I bet the couch is still sitting there as of this writing 4 days after moving out.
