The scheduling and use of equipment was great. However when returning the vehicle to this location the female store Manager absolutely lost it and screamed at me for not parking the truck under a specific awning - it was a very hot day and I had no idea why she had to carry on - her employee was very kind to move the truck without being asked as he could see I was exhausted from the move and had no idea where I was suppose to return the truck. This spoiled the rental experience that was otherwise a very normal and pleasant experience. This manager needs to take a break! Too much anger in this world and no need for it! You could keep the reservation requested. Two days before the scheduled start date I was informed the rental pickup location changed to a location 50 minutes away. I had to find a rental that was closer and had to pay a higher price for a larger rental and it would be only 30 minutes from the original location. Can I return to a different location with out penalty?Steven S.

The woman who helped us was training a new employee (a guy) and they were both unbelievably friendly, good at their jobs, fast and helpful, so much so I left thinking if I got the opportunity to let you know I would. From the whole bad experience of this truck rental, the returning location was the worst of all. They charged me extra for refueling (when I refueled myself and left the receipt in the truck for them to see it). I never received an email confirming the safe return of the truck. When I called to check about it, I was already feeling frustrated. I got an employee yelling how wrong I was and hanging up the phone on me. I drove to the Framingham-Southborough location to get things straight at once just to find that everybody was in an improvised and unannounced brake. So I had to wait to talk to the extremely rude employee that that hanged up the phone on me and kept yelling at me in person. I had to tolerate that the employee was bothered by the my non-verbal language, and the fact that I am a man and she is a woman. SO SHE KEPT YELLING AT ME even after my apologies!! All this crap just to tell me that their hands are tied, and they could not do anything. I called corporate and they have been even more useless to help and won't allow me to file a claim. Because hey, Uhaul does not guarantee you a truck, but they have a perfect system in place to screw you over an ounce of fuel. Luckily I went to the competitors and they offered better prices, customer service, and AAA member discounts.Juan A.
Overall, Tim at the Framingham location was amazing! Very helpful, friendly and had amazing customer service. Thanks Tim! On the other hand, Cazzandra (I think I spelt correctly) is a different story. I have used Uhaul for my past 9 moves over the last 10 years and have always had a great experience! However, this last time makes me never want to use them again. The manager at the Framingham Uhaul was one of the rudest people I have met. She told me if I was even one minute late I would be charged an extra day, she added charges to my account that weren't true, which I was able to prove with pictures of the truck I had taken before hand. She told me that if I didn't pay the charges I wouldn't be allowed to rent from Uhaul again. When she tried to reach me an hour after I dropped the truck off, I missed her call by 5 minutes and I called immediately back she told me that I should really answer my phone faster. Overall, my issues were resolved by taking to higher ups at Uhaul customer service, but I cannot believe this woman is the manager of the Framingham Uhaul and she needs to be educated on how to provide customer service.Holly P.

I have no issues with the physical location. But the person at the desk who help us during the rental and the drop-off was not welcoming or friendly. Both times we were the only ones in the room with them behind the counter looking at the computer, while music played over the speakers for all to hear that had some offensive lyrics. It took 3 minutes for them to acknowledge our presence and even say "What's up?". They never said "Hello and I'lll be with you in a moment" or anything of the sort. We were standing 5 feet from them on the other side of the counter. In the future I will go to a different location.Jeff R.

Great experience. One thing - the quickest way to drive from the store to Route 9 goes under a low bridge (11' clearance). Too low for many trucks, including the 15' one. The store should probably highlight that for renters.James S.

The assistant manager who checked is in at pickup was EXTREMELY RUDE. Her name is Kazandra Baez Sughrue and I would recommend you fire her or at the very least retrain her on how to treat customers without escalating. We showed up around 9:30am to pick up a rental reserved for 8:30am. The online check-in was having trouble on my phone so we went inside for help. She was helping someone else with a problem and took a quick moment to ask us if we had a reservation and for what time. Upon hearing that we were late she immediately got an attitude and told us they might not have a truck because they were overbooked. I asked how I was supposed to know to call about running late and where in any of the emails about the reservation that information was. She became incredibly hostile and argued with me and my friend. The other customer who she was helping before us recorded it on his phone and I sincerely hope he sends it to your corporate overlords to show just how terrible her attitude was or that he posts it somewhere to earn other people to avoid this location. And then after all that energy spent basically rudely trying to tell us they wouldn't have a truck and it was all our fault for not being on timeâ€¦ When her coworker came inside (a lovely older African American gentleman who I unfortunately did not get a name from as he was wonderful) he was able to help is politely and with no trouble. Ten or fifteen minutes after we stepped up to his counter we had our truck and were on our way. Soâ€¦ I cannot recommend this location due to your one belligerent employee making the process so much harder and more stressful than it ever needed to be. I work in retail and I understand how hard customer facing roles can be. But I have little sympathy for someone who is outright rude to customers.Marieke J.

My only reason for the average rate is that this location suffers from very slow and spotty internet. It's a problem for the staff when you check in and also if you're doing an after hours return. Often you are unable to access Uhaul's website to check back in. Thankfully the staff will sometimes wave the $20 convenience fee.Thomas W.

The Mobile pick up does not work. Nobody is going to hAve their Passport and the call another associate if confusing as you do not allow for that associate to also be your alternate contact. This does now work especially when taking delivery on a Sunday as call your employer is not an option and even in the week, that option is really not great. One does not typically call their employer to notify them that they are renting a Uhaul. You need to rethink you authentication protocol. Why not send a special PIN when someone places the Mobile pick up Order. While there were issues with pick up and the vehicle, the vehicles displayed a tire pressure warning and the front camera error, Cazandra and Jeremy were great working thru the issues.john L.

We were supposed to pick up the truck in batick. While in our way to get it, they told us we don't have it, but they have a different truck in framingham. Had to drive to framingham to get the other truck. Truck was old and didn't turn properly. They told me the gas had half a tank in it and it only had a quarter when I picked it up. I used the online reserve, pick-up and drop-off. It is very efficient. The only thing to make it quicker or easier would be to bypass the lines to access keys. Lines are often full of unpredictable customers or issues related to one of life's biggest challenges - a move. Grabbing keys took roughly 20 seconds at the counter for me but the waiting in line took well over 30 minutes. Just as much as there is a key drop off box, perhaps a key access box would also be appropriate. A customer can use their phone or printed bar code or whatever to open the lockbox to get the keys associated to the vehicle number. Just a suggestion.DAVID K.

I had reserved months ago in NATICK and confirmed IN PERSON there last week, but learned upon arrival for our 8:00 reservation our truck and equipment was all in FRAMINGHAM. I was told I should have received a text, email and phone call, but never got any indication the location had been changed due to availability, so our entire move was pushed an hour back which wound up meaning moving in a full-on rain storm. In future, I'd appreciate at least being aware of such changes so I can plan accordingly (and dress in waterproof gear!)Luis Fernando N.

I rented a truck to be picked up via my cell phone. It told me the id on the truck, but most of the trucks didn't have the id in an obvious location, so I ended up going in to the office to do my pickup. When I returned the truck, I was told to just leave the keys. 6 hours later and the web site indicated that the truck hadn't been returned yet. In the morning, it looked like the truck had been returned.Marc M.

We rented a truck and storage space on 1/28. Overall the experience was ok. My partner and I were shocked at the complete lack of attention from the gentleman working the counter. He did not look up once from his phone when we walked in. And as he was entering our information into the computer, he was scrolling on TikTok as he was typing. We've all worked in retail and customer service and I'm fully aware it's not the most glamorous gig. But this guy was on a next level of not caring or showing an ounce of professionalism. One of the elevators stopped working while we were moving in and another customer went up to tell him, and he just shrugged. You people at your rental facilities are amazing. Andy at the Mobil Station in Ashland that I was sent to first and Jamal at your Southborough facility were awesome. The night manager who checked me in at the end of the rental was also exceptional. These are great people who represent Uhaul extremely well and very professionally. Your reservation management system is atrocious. My sons and I had a very tight schedule to move our things from the storage unit to our home in Rhode Island. We wasted over 2 hours because of your horrible reservation system. I called and made the reservation working with a very nice and professional Uhaul representative. I needed a 15' truck for a one way rental, furniture pads and a hand truck. I received an email with instructions to pick up the truck at the Mobil gas station in Ashland. Andy was awesome and tried several times to help process the reservation. I went in line and repeatedly filled out my data including the photos of my license three times. After the third completion of the forms I received another itinerary to pick up my 15' truck at your Southborough location. I wasted almost an hour, but I was hopeful we would get back on track since the Southborough facility is only 15 minutes away. We got to the Southborough facility and Jamal told me he had no 15' trucks only 10' for one way rentals. He said I could go to your Natick facility to get a 15' truck. I already wasted too much time in Ashland so we said we would try a 10'. Turns out it was not tall enough and it had no ramp. Jamal said he could rent me a 20' but it would have to be a return. That's what we ended up doing. The truck was fine and was actually a pleasure to drive. The people and equipment are great but your reservation and asset management system SUCKS and caused us to waste over 2 hours we did not have to waste. FIX IT!!!!!!michael b. | Overall Experience

There are 2 elevators. I was told that the broken one would be fixed. I saw no indication of the elevator being fixed. It actually looks like it has not been used. Found out after move-in that there was a major water/flooding problem on the first floor. I have major damage to my leather sectional as well as another leather rocker recliner. Also damage to two antique bedside tables and a wood storage unit for the living room. Other damage to shoes. Pocketbooks and to now unknown other items in second storage unit.
