This location and the manager was amazing. The company as a whole was horrible. All Staff at this location was very helpful. I had to run to 3 different locations for a reserved truck that wasn't there. Ended up an hour away from home. The hub I landed at was very helpful though. Staff is nice but I was supposed to get my 1st month storage on new unit for FREE as advertised yet I was charged. I still want my credit applied. Storage buildings are set too high so it didn't feel much different moving from being outside and should be set to at least 75 not above. I spent hours on the phone and going into a uhual place for another 2 hours to straighten my delivery address and eta. I spoke to many uhual workers and had the run around and all different answers. This was not a cheap for me, it added way too much stress on my move and out and also my family who had to go pick it up for me and uhual was unorganized, behind and promised to have it ready which was not the case. I will never use this service-uhual or recommend uhual. Thanks for making a situation a nightmare!Jeanine S.

The pick up changed the day before in a text to an incorrect address 40 minutes away. The Uhaul leaked water, a lot of water, when it rained, and we had a tire blow out.Paisley K.
Each time i went to my storage unit there was an issue: coded doors didn't work. leaks in the ceiling, rusted latches on unit, AC was insufficient to keep odor out of stored items. The workers seldom could trouble shoot issues with out extra help and there was not. The ramps moved creating safety issues for loading my items from my unit. They even locked my unit when there had been not issues with my billing. The insufficient service of the overall UHaul experience was one I have openly discussed as negative since the beginning of my move. I will not use UHaul EVER again. Staff was not friendly. Uhaul changed my reservation day of and the staff could care less. They gave away the truck I was too have and acted as if I inconvenienced them. I had to tell them several times that Uhaul was responsible for doing the right thing before I even got adequate help. He eventually set me up with a partial reservation and gave me $50 for the reservation guarantee. Other than that Unprofessional and unhelpful is how I would describe the staff at this locationTashia B.

They're usually issues with U-Haul. One of the things is that they'll quote you a price and then you find out differently afterward. For the most part I usually give good reviews where I go but unfortunately I can't with this company there's always a hiccup.RENEE M.

Traffic, both locations (3626 & and Orange Ave.), & corporate disappointing experience overall. Hector, at the Orange tried his best for me talking to traffic as well, seeking some kind of compensation for hours wasted. However no one wanted to help him, help me. Customer over 2 decades, this experience convinced me to never do business with Uhaul. 3626 we're very unprofessional. I was hung up on after so many issues regarding my service, wasted time. We had to sweep the floors and clear roaches and mice dropping before using the room. However; agent Alejandro was very helpful and fast, and the deal of a free month helped us to deal with the situation despite my concerns that the criters could get into my furniture.i ll be sure to inspect my stuff when we move into the new home. I knew the area is prone to roaches and other creatures. I still would recommend it. I would advise to check the space before giving the keys to customers. ordered a 6X12 pull behind trailer, thought it was $39.00 but told them it was a one way to Ocala, Fl. price went to over $200. I was told if I got it back to Ocala location same day that I would save one day of the two day rental (which was a set price for a one way) Ocala told me that was FALSE. While I had email confirmation, the rental facility stated they did not have the reservation for the tow dolly. I had to go to another location to pick up the dolly. I then had to go to two separate locations to drop off the equipment. While the facility itself was good, staff were nice, the overall experience had a lot of added and unnecessary stress due to the incorrect rental equipment being available.Jeneine K.

Be honest. Show customers the ACTIAL condition of the units (which look nothing like the models in the stores), and make repairs when there is obvious structural damage resulting from animals/ rodents/ pests. Felt it absolutely necessary to get insurance after I was given a unit that is in terrible shape. Now having to look for an alternative solution. My entire experience from renting a moving truck through finally having to drop off a broken down truck and stuff all of my belongings into a vermin infested dirty, dark storage unit was incredibly frustrating. Sadly, I will never use uhaul again. I feel so badly for some of their very kind, but seemingly overwhelmed and equally frustrated employees. Some actually WANT to help, and try... but the company is totally mismanaged and a mess.TRACY M.

Although my paperwork had this as the drop off location, the computer didn't when we got there. We spent 30 minutes waiting for them to be able to provide us with a receipt for the drop off and left without it. They were super helpful but it was a bad experience due to the computer issues.Amelia D.
The truck tire sensor came on stating the left rear tire had low pressure. Apparently a known issue with Chevy trucks as per the staff. Found this out on return of the rental...wish I had been alerted at pickup...would have save a bit of worry. Also, this facility could use a bit more parking.David T.

The biggest thing you can do for your customer is for the CORPORATE office to provide more coordination and support throughout the UBox rental experience. CORPORATE allowed me to set up a time and date for the movers to pick up my UBox and load my furniture at the pickup site. They took my credit card info for the move. There was an initial charge for the mover and it was agreed that there would be later charges to the card. The agreed-to move day came, and the mover went to the Ft. Pierce FL UHaul center, but they did not have a UBox available. The mover calls me in a panic and I spend an hour on the phone with CORPORATE customer service trying to find out what happened, but NO luck, and no accountability. No offer to make it right, or discount the move. Finally I had to negotiate ANOTHER move date with the Ft. Pierce location, my brother (at the move site), and the mover. Plus the mover was out half a day's pay. So the newly agreed-to day comes, and the mover arrives to pick up the UBox, and the Ft. Pierce associate says the UBox hasn't been paid for. They try to call me, but I live on the west coast, and set my phone to reject unknown callers before 7am. So they call my brother and he gives them HIS card to pay the $126.21 for the UBox. Why did this happen? UHaul took my credit card information when I set up the move (online) and they charged it to pay the mover! So we're back on track, except that the mover now tells my brother that he (my brother) owes him (the mover) an extra $200 for "extra packing", which was exactly how my brother asked him to pack it after watching UHaul's own video about how customers should pack their furniture! That was April 8. On April 22, I get a text from my brother saying UHaul has now charged HIS credit card for $1,634. I immediately call CORPORATE, and they say a manager will call them to take care of it within 24 hours. A few minutes person who says he is an "assistant" at the Ft. Pierce office calls. I ask why they charged my brother's card for the move that morning, in fact why they didn't charge my card to rent the UBox. I hear a person in the background say that my card was in the information. I ask politely that they back out the charge to my brother's card, and charge the correct card. The assistant says there was "no way" he could do that. I told him flatly that I didn't believe it. Then he said "your brother should have never authorized the charge". Oh, so now it's my brother's fault. With the certain understanding that the Ft. Pierce office ALSO did not understand the meaning of appropriate customer service, I decided to stop wasting my time and hung up the phone. Some time later my UBox arrived at the Everett, WA store. I called CORPORATE again to set up a time to pick up the box. 2pm the next day. When I got there, the box was not exactly "ready", but they fished it out of the warehouse quickly and had me on my way. I unloaded the box and returned it two days later and they were very expeditous checking me out and getting me on my way. Kudos to the Everett store. In the interest of my time, I'm leaving out several incidental inconventient experiences. In summary, the UHaul CORPORATE experience is terrible. Every time I called the corporate office to find out why something strange happened, they would invariably pass me off to either a local office (Ft. Pierce), or the contracted (by UHaul) moving service, or someone at the UBox subsidiary. For example, when I called to confirm my time with the Everett office (to pick up the UBox), they put me through to the Ft. Piece FL office, and a poor soul who had no idea why they were talking to me. UHaul CORPORATE would NEVER take responsibility for anything, say they would make any attempt to fix the problem, or offer me any sort of "in kind" reimbursement for my inconvenience and time lost. Hands down the worst moving experience I have ever had, I even wrote to the CEO of Uhaul about it. The team at Uhaul University of Texas, although most are incredible, totally dropped the ball on shipping my goods on time and then the manager Shawn tried to blame me saying he personally called me and boxes were not on site shipping day, which is a complete lie as my boxes NEVER left the site. The staff at customer service was horrible and rude, we were left without anything for 5 days, my mother with dementia who we planned a very meticulous scheduling we went into to receiving her furniture so she would not be uncomfortable for long, ended up sleeping on a blow up mattress on the floor. It was a nightmare and although Uhaul gave us 50% off shipping and a credit to our card it honestly wasn't enough based on the stress this caused, the flat out lies and the executive staff Katrina completely dropping the ball. One person helped, his name was Tim Armstrong, we appreciate his help very much. Unfortunately even Tim's kindness and follow through it wasn't enough to keep us as Uhaul customers, we will never use Uhaul or recommend this company to anyone again.Nancy B.

I drove 360 miles expecting to pick up a truck that was reserved, only to find that reserving a truck, getting confirmation, and checking in online is meaningless. Original pickup location hadn't seen a truck in weeks. The whole experience was a fiasco that cost me time, money, and undue stress. The worst almost 4 years experience ever. We had a lot of mold, roaches and water damage in our unit. We had to throw so much away due to the damage. Such an awful experience. We also paid full price for the month of December and emptied our storage on 12/8/21 and they refused to pro rate our month of December. What a rip off!! Upon arrival, a very large truck with several pods on it was extending the length of the driveway up to the edge of the 4 lane road, US-1. It was impossible to not only move around, but couldn't be seen around to enter or worse, to exit as it blocked all view of oncoming traffic. This truck was in that position the entire time I was at the facility. Very dangerous. The fire exit to the building with my storage unit was actively being blocked by towing equipment, even as we asked to use the entrance to unload. The reason we were told no is that it's emergency only. And the manager & staff were in the process of blocking it with trailers, etc. so it would be useless as a fire exit. Alejandro handled my account and gave inaccurate information and misdirected us to the building next door. Once we managed to get around the large truck blocking the view of the street and entered the storage area next door, we found we were in the wrong location and could not exit. Despite calling via the callbox for assistance, we remained stuck there for some time. Alejandro eventually responded to say he was standing where we were supposed to be & SURPRISE - we weren't there. Useless. A waste of time & with all the other safety issues, the last straw. I only offloaded my things as I was pressed for time and did not have time to find another storage option before returning to Sarasota. I definitely would not recommend and, in fact, took photos of the serious safety issues which I'll be happy to forward for your review.Donna O. | First Impressions

The local facility had to units available, and found one that was bigger than what was reserved. After setting it up for me, the unit was still rented out to someone else and there was a lock on the door. Your manager Daphne Heywood is absolutely the most professional and efficient manager with amazing customer service skills I have ever met! After Uhaul online reservations I made for my move from GA to FL literally made every mistake possible with all my reservations and I was up for 28 hours with my 2 sons (1 sick) and service dogs, Daphne was able to arrange storage and movers when no one else at Uhaul could. Had a on line reservation for a 10x10 climate control, went to moving in and all units were full, I showed the staff my reservation number and I was informed that they couldn't do anything, blame was put on online service, i was given a out door unit (which i did not ask for) the unit was not a 10x10, the back wall was made of wood and looks like the back wall moved forward. I had to pay moving help $350 for nothing due to being misinformed about the Sunday closing time. I was told that the hours of operation was 7-7 and after a 15 hour drive found out that the location closed at 5pm. Having already booked the movers. Water leaking into storage unit caused water pooling in the middle of the unit. Our expensive king mattress and queen box spring were both totaled. Moldy, mildewed and still wet when we removed them. I explained to an employee what had happened, who asked if we had insurance, then said that the manager told me to call 1-800-go-uhaul. Online it said I would get a free lock (it would be inside the unit when I got there), there was no lock. The unit is dirty, wet in one of the corners and the door was very difficult to open with no rope to pull it back down after its fully opened.
