Need to better organize how you load and unload your equipment and moving pods. When we arrived to return our trailer there was an 18 wheel flat bed truck loading pods at the entrance . There were multiple pieces of equipment in the return cue making for a dangerous situation with the tail of my trailer blocking the traffic on US 1. I suggest loading your pods in the back of the lot not at the entrance of your parking lot.Bill S.

Employees disrespectful and unprofessional. They towed our personal vehicle we left parked on their lot. There are not any parking restriction signs posted anywhere!! Office called about what time we were returning the rental, but never asked if my personal vehicle was parked on their lot. Terrible customer service. 3 out of My 6 ubox containers were lost. No accountability for anything .Everyone passed The buck..i had a Daphne Angle and many others that. I had trying to help me.i xalled on a sat.. the the lady answeredthe phone had me on loud speaker laughingat me with a customer in front of her i asked her to get me off speaker and the custo told me to wait my turn i then said why am i on speaker why did you answer of your to busy to help me. Gate access was unsecured constantly, specifically the green entry door. Lots of people loitering in their units, drinking alcohol, hanging out and constantly watching what is going on in other peoples unit. Trash everywhere. I made a reservation for a 26 ft truck in Palm Beach for Saturday 11/19/22, when I got there, no truck was available. I was told no trucks would be available until Monday. A representative went on a rampage search and found one in Ft. Pierce.I had to drive to 63 miles to ft. Pierce to pick up a truck and drive back to west Palm Beach. In Ft. Pierce the attendant was very helpful and courteous. With that experience I would have to think twice before recommending someone.DOREEN P.

I reserved a cargo van online and when I went to pick it up from the store my reservation did not exist. I was told that a van was being returned in 2 hours so I could reserve that one. I reserved it and about half an hour later I get a call that the customer who has the van wants to keep it longer so do I really need my reservation? After the van was finally returned the van had low tires and reeked of cigarettes and food. We had to sit there for a good half hour while they filed the tires - cutting into our rental time! Then this morning I get my receipt and there's all kinds of weird Extra charges on it! I will NOT be using UHAUL again!!!Lauren M.

I did not like my Drivers License information photographed by a staff member's personal phone and uploaded on your main website. This is Personal Identifiable information associated with my picture. It should be a company device not a personal phone. This is above what is necessary to have an individual's information to rent any item. Staff members can easily visually verify the information contained in your system instead of taking a picture. The staff members were extremely busy from the amount of customers thus service was a little delayed to help everyone. Recommend opening another store and storage facility in Vero Beach since this area is growing rapidly.Bruce D.

I was charged for two days. Twice what I should have been. It was returned just a couple minutes past four hours. I was charged for two days rental and two days insurance. I was told it would be corrected when her manager came in after waiting over a half hour while it was attempted to be corrected after I questioned the amount.MICHAEL B.

Often times the security gate was standing open- as time went on I noticed that the area especially around the dumpster was overflowing and a total mess . I had inquired at one time about disposing of some boxes (which I had purchased at the facility) in the dumpster - I was told I would be charged - over a 6 plus year time that I rented the units I was shocked that I was told I would be charged to dispose of some broken down boxes especially since it was constantly overflowing with furniture , mattresses lamps etc etcCindy W. | Overall Experience

The truck was not clean, food was hidden behind the seats. One banana peel, an orange, box of cheerios as well as a roach (weed) in the passenger door hand hole. I couldn't figure out what the smell was until halfway through my day. Not to mention the truck itself was on E and gave me 15 miles til emptyâ€¦ I know it wasn't the location fault as they said it had been cleaned.. but I know to check behind the seats as well next time.Stephanie K.

I was overcharged several times a late fee for nonpayment when I was on auto payment. I had to email and call to get credits. Our last month the same thing happened and it took a month for me to get credited back. I emailed Daphne several times and called and then I had to go into the store to ask her why she has not credited because she never called or email me back. She said her email was messed up. And she caught it to me the same day after I left. That was unacceptable to me. The time I took by email, calls, then walk in, which is a good trip from Hutchinson Island, to get my money back with no response, then a terrible excuse that her email was not working, was not a good experience at all. I don't see how she has a title of Manager. Other than that, the rental was good and the whole experience of that went very well and me/exceeded all expectations. I will absolutely say this On contract you rented me a 10 x10. Physically it is 8' x8' verbally I was told it was 10x11. Not able to squeeze all of my calculated space needed effects into your poorly designed space, it took 3 attempts loading it. Only to fail .things went to an alternative space. The next day I challenged the clerk about the size.also phoned the manager and no help either. You stuck to your claim about the size .I would not have attempted to fit my stuff in your facility. When I got to Fort Peirce, Que Watts had to search for my order because it would not show in your system. By the time I was done in the office and unloading my items, it was a little after 4pm. Got there to pick up my trailer with a Ubox and was told they have no trailers. I received a email the day before confirming my Ubox was all set on a trailer to be picked up at 8:00 AM. The manager said there was nothing g she could do and would not have a trailer ready until next week. I had 3 movers with me that I am paying for. So now I had to take another trailer and pick up all my things at my storage unit and bring them back to uhaul to reload on the UBox now having to pay my movers to move everything g twice. The manager told me I didn't receive a call telling me that there was no trailer because she was out wait a medical issue. Then she proceeds to tell me that my Ubox would not be delivered on time and it would take 2-3 weeks longer to be delivered. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. So then I got home and called U Haul and spoke to a supervisor who then said sorry your not getting g your Ubox when promised and hung up the phone after I asked to speak to her supervisor. The level of customer service with your company has been horrible. I am 63 years old and have no help to move my things now for another 3 months which I have to live with none of my belonging not even a pot to cook in for 3 months because your company has no clue how to schedule. I called again a second time and was told to put in an action file claim ti try and get something done to get my Ubox to Hyannis Ma. on a trailer on 10/20 like I was promised and scheduled with your company.STUART T.

I have used this location about 5 times since May 2022. Disappointed about the billing. I was charged an extra $116 dollars on one occasion (return van after hours... spoke with customer service that evening was told we would not be charged; the lady documented our conversation; i sent a request to review my bill. NEVER heard back from Uhaul); and last weekend an extra $30 for gas (when we got vehicle it was on empty; called the uhaul and advised them..took pics of gauge and miles) was told my bill would be adjusted ..not!! Poor communication. My box sat for 3 weeks without being shipped! Uhaul admittedly duplicated my order. If I could have tracked it, I could have notified somebody within days. No shipping pads included. My guaranteed delivery date was moved back in the middle of the process because of the duplicated order, reducing the refund I was due. Then, despite being late, it took 3 days more for final delivery because there's not daily delivery to the area. Terrible. Who takes responsibility when there's a problem? Who's responsible for trying to remedy the delay? Shouldn't uhaul be trying to expedite it? Just terrible.Stephen B.

I was given a truck with no gas. Was left less than a block away from driving put in a medium of US Hwy 1. Then was charge $45 when I had to walk back to the store and get a gas gallon container to walk 2 blocks get gas and walk back to the truck. Left gas on the container and brought it back at 1/4 tank. But according to manager everything was done right. She refused to refund me the gas and even thought I returned my truck on the same day was charge an overnight fee of $20 extra. Okay, so my overall experience with U-Haul was originally turning out to be a disaster- When we brought the truck back, the system was telling the agent that it was being returned to the incorrect location and that the gas level was off, meaning it wanted to charge me almost $3,000. The agent was equally confused as my contract said something very different. He took my information and told us he would look further into it and call us once the situation was settled. He called me about 10 min later that he was able to reverse the issue and had made an adjustment due to the inconvenience. While I originally left I thought I would never do business with U-Haul again but, the agent Alex (Alejandro Llanes) has regained my trust and I will return if I need another rental. I want to thank Alex for his wonderful Customer Service and tell his management team that he defiantly deserves a raise and a bonus and extra PTO days. Thanks for listening!Doris S.
I reserved a truck and also got a trailer hitch. They didn't even have the truck they were supposed to have for me, so they gave me another. We drove back and loaded up the truck, then started to load the car. On the trailer hitch for the car, one strap was too short, so we ended up having to go back (I called the number and the lady said they would give us 20 extra miles because we wasted extra gas having to go back) but the young man switched out the strap for us. However, we needed help, and i know it was almost 7, but we should have started driving at 5 or 6, but we spent almost a whole hour waiting for them to fix it, and they were refusing to help us load the car even though it was their fault to begin with. And then on the drive there, we then noticed a light on the hitch wasn't working either. I don't know what is up with that Uhaul location, but they need to do better.Terese Q.

Staff is nice but I was supposed to get my 1st month storage on new unit for FREE as advertised yet I was charged. I still want my credit applied. Storage buildings are set too high so it didn't feel much different moving from being outside and should be set to at least 75 not above. Each time i went to my storage unit there was an issue: coded doors didn't work. leaks in the ceiling, rusted latches on unit, AC was insufficient to keep odor out of stored items. The workers seldom could trouble shoot issues with out extra help and there was not. The ramps moved creating safety issues for loading my items from my unit. They even locked my unit when there had been not issues with my billing. The insufficient service of the overall UHaul experience was one I have openly discussed as negative since the beginning of my move. I will not use UHaul EVER again. We had to sweep the floors and clear roaches and mice dropping before using the room. However; agent Alejandro was very helpful and fast, and the deal of a free month helped us to deal with the situation despite my concerns that the criters could get into my furniture.i ll be sure to inspect my stuff when we move into the new home. I knew the area is prone to roaches and other creatures. I still would recommend it. I would advise to check the space before giving the keys to customers. The only thing is that the uhaul return is not connected to the uhaul storage. The two should have a connecting road or path so that you do not have to make a left to come out of the storage on to a busy US 1. And then another left to return the uhaul.Shirley K. | First Impressions

The worst almost 4 years experience ever. We had a lot of mold, roaches and water damage in our unit. We had to throw so much away due to the damage. Such an awful experience. We also paid full price for the month of December and emptied our storage on 12/8/21 and they refused to pro rate our month of December. What a rip off!! The unit I was given was swept out but the pile of trash was left just outside the door of the unit. It still remains untouched 2 days later. The unit also shows signs of water on the concrete against both side and the backwall. Employee who took in truck I used was great.Jeremy T. | Online Move In

The two young black chaps working the counter were extremely unprofessional. I waited online for 30 mins cause they work at a snail pace. It's disgusting how they have zero work ethics . Let's see: starting with someone 'accidentally' closing my storage unit one day out of the blue when I am hundreds of miles away?!? Or granting me certain vehicles, only to do a bait & switch, or for no one to contact me AT ALL about my reservation?!? Let's just say that the ONLY pleasant experience with U-Haul was LEAVING the other day - in that, the dude outside when I checked out was pretty cool...but more importantly, it was great knowing that I will NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN. Upon arrival, a very large truck with several pods on it was extending the length of the driveway up to the edge of the 4 lane road, US-1. It was impossible to not only move around, but couldn't be seen around to enter or worse, to exit as it blocked all view of oncoming traffic. This truck was in that position the entire time I was at the facility. Very dangerous. The fire exit to the building with my storage unit was actively being blocked by towing equipment, even as we asked to use the entrance to unload. The reason we were told no is that it's emergency only. And the manager & staff were in the process of blocking it with trailers, etc. so it would be useless as a fire exit. Alejandro handled my account and gave inaccurate information and misdirected us to the building next door. Once we managed to get around the large truck blocking the view of the street and entered the storage area next door, we found we were in the wrong location and could not exit. Despite calling via the callbox for assistance, we remained stuck there for some time. Alejandro eventually responded to say he was standing where we were supposed to be & SURPRISE - we weren't there. Useless. A waste of time & with all the other safety issues, the last straw. I only offloaded my things as I was pressed for time and did not have time to find another storage option before returning to Sarasota. I definitely would not recommend and, in fact, took photos of the serious safety issues which I'll be happy to forward for your review.Donna O. | First Impressions

The local facility had to units available, and found one that was bigger than what was reserved. After setting it up for me, the unit was still rented out to someone else and there was a lock on the door. Unfortunately the office workers were overwhelmed with other customers and having similar issues that I opted to store my stuff else where.Caleb P. | First Impressions
Your manager Daphne Heywood is absolutely the most professional and efficient manager with amazing customer service skills I have ever met! After Uhaul online reservations I made for my move from GA to FL literally made every mistake possible with all my reservations and I was up for 28 hours with my 2 sons (1 sick) and service dogs, Daphne was able to arrange storage and movers when no one else at Uhaul could.
