Fighting an after hours charge that was added to my credit card 3 days after the rental was returned. I had the trailer from 12:30pm returned at 4:30pm. Was the truck clean yes but the major problem was the truck was completely on E and I took multiple pictures in the parking lot I even got out of the truck and asked for help and I was told by two workers to click on the link that was sent to my phone and send the pictures in and to report the truck being on E so I sat in the parking lot of U-Haul and click on what link that I did have on my phone and hear the link that I clicked on was just a link that was sent in the very beginning that had nothing to do or any area to send pictures or complain U-Haul did not send the link that was supposed to be sent to my phone The videos can be reviewed at that U-Haul site I arrive there in the store at 1:38 PM and I was in a hurry for where I had to go and bring the truck and trailer back in time while The U-Haul store was still open and I didn't make it back in time however when I spoke with the kind woman that was there when I returned but she was not the lady that was there earlier when I first came there she tried her best to help resolve this issue she physically saw my phone and the text messages from U-Haul and physically saw that I had never received them or it And Had I received the link I would have been able to send the photos showing the truck Ani so the best solution for tonight I was given a card to call in the morning to see how we can resolve this issue The vehicle a.k.a. truck was very clean but part of the problem is one of the workers couldn't help me too much because it was only her fourth day they're working and the other part of the problem was when I was asking for help and I got out of the truck trying to get them to come to the truck and physically see that it is an E they wouldn'tJESSICA M.

Upon arrival it was pouring and the truck was not in the correct spot. We went inside and was screaming while walking around the building looking for someone. We went all the way into the back offices and still no one was around to help. After 30 min and even attempting to call the land lines a woman came out and said can I help you? I told her YES ive been waiting and up here yelling? I showed her the app and she handed me a key and walked away. We go outside and the truck does NOT match the one on our login. We take the truck with the key and it sounded HORRIBLE when it started up but guess what... COULDNT find anyone again. Tried to message the help desk. and proceeded to leave since we were already an hour behind and late due to this issues. While driving the truck alignment was off and had a hard time steering. Upon return same lady was there and told her about the alignment and she just said ok, you're all set. The customer service at this location used to be great and we have rented many times a year for business. Im not sure what is happening but this is NOT how I would want someone managing my business while I am not around....Jessica R.
I use Uhaul about every other week. I run a nonprofit and use it all the time. This is the first time I have had problems with my return. Normally I work during business hours but this time everything ran late. They gave me information about checking in after hours. But I couldn't get into my online account. And was charged $20 I could have kept the truck for 24 hours and kept you from using it. But instead I returned it after my two hours. And in return you charged me $20 extraELAINA H.

I would recommend the Elyria location. HOWEVER, your 24/7 mobile pickup, that I was supposed to use for pickup at your north ridgeville location, is absolutely infuriating. I did the verification with my driver's license earlier in the day, which it asked me to do again. I ended up redoing this 3 times getting kicked out of the chat to the agent multiple times. Response time was horrible for assistance and in the end, after over an hour and a half, was unsuccessful picking up my van. This was even after talking with a real person over the phone. I was told I couldn't pick up the van because one of my two contacts didn't answer. ONLY ONE WAS CALLED according to phone logs. This experience was the most inconvenient and infuriating experience I have had with any service. The alternate Elyria pickup location was almost a half hour from my original pickup location in North ridgeville. Your service needlessly wasted 2.5-3hrs to pick up something 8mins from the original location and was unacceptable.Jonathan G.
The first drop off location given was at 501 Abbe Rd in Elyria. The representative there was horrible, they didn't want to take the truck with equipment. I didn't feel comfortable dropping it off anywhere else since that was the drop off location given. He left the keys on the back bumper and said it was responsibility to take it to a different location. I didn't know where to go my husband was angry, I was crying I felt very uncomfortable not knowing the right thing to do. So while I rate the second drop off location good, it doesn't give me the opportunity to rate the first locations horrible customer service.robert R.

My trailer had several damaged shock springs and was a serious safety risk. I can send photos. I took it back after noticing it. Same trailer wasn't available to rent. I had to rent a different trailer and was charged more than the broken one.David K.

The low availability of storage and the lack of workers at the counters makes the whole process slow...not to meantion the incident with storage units where the size of the storage units wasnt properly explained to my mother whom accidentally got a unit too small becasue she thought a 5 x 10 until was 10ft long and not tall...this caused us to bring back the truck late and i still got charged for it. So I'll be looking for other services elsewhere.Shazney H.
The person taking care of me was very rude. Very argumentative. Many employees standing there, no one said anything to employee. I won't use uhaul if people are going to be rude. When someone gets a uhaul, they need it for a move. There is no reason to add more stress.Damian S.

24/7 experience was terrible. It took 30 minutes to get someone on the phone when I had questions. The picture taking thing was ridiculous. The pictures wouldn't load. It was more stressful than the entire moving experience. There must be a better way. At least the phone could be answered in a reasonable amount of time.Robert H.
I reserved my storage unit online only to find out that the size I reserved was not actually available. I then had to get 2 storage units instead of one and the price was double what I was originally quoted. I was assured by the manager that she would get the price adjusted. I waited for 2 months and my calls were ignored by the manager. At one point I was denied access due to late payment aft we r being instructed not to pay until the price was corrected. I got charged double for being there at 5:00 instead of 4:00 when I called and told them! When they inspected the vehicle upon my return, i was told it would be $79.90 plus tax, etc. I got charged $147.00!! Greet people when they come in. If you have to walk away, tell the customers what is going on. Don't start a transaction and then help 2-5 more before finishing with the first customer. Overall, have better communication and customer service. After talking to other â€œregularâ€ customers this is nothing new. The past 3 times I have been in there it has taken 40-50 minutes to finish being helped from walking in. I actually decided that I will be going to a new location/not using uhaul from now on because this has gotten out of hand and I don't have the time to wait for them to decide to help me.C W.

The time between ordering my hitch and the installation was much too long. Also there should be more communication between the installation site and the customer. It was impossible to speak directly with the installation site and speaking to a Uhaul call center was no help.John M.

Staff were extremely rude. No assistance was provided. Staff waited outside but would not provide help. Truck tire had a screw in it and interior was stained. Directions, website and drop off procedures were not clear. Parking to drop off units was poor and difficult to navigate.Kasandra A.

The cashier was nice , the guy that greeted me when I walked in was nice as well some other lady in the background with a peirced tongue was rude as hell and stated that if the truck wasn't back at 630 in the morning when she got there it would be an additional $250 then as busy as the store was she said she was going to "rest her ass for a bit " after seeing how dirty and beat up the truck was with less than 20k miles on it .... I wanted to leave and forget about it maybe just borrow someone's truck I know.. I doubt she gets there at 630 am no need to lie and be mean about anything I returned the truck cleaner with more fuel than when I picked it up no big deal things happen its ok as your company asked how things wentSTEVEN H.

Not enough staff at the front desks. Customer service was fair. Truck being set up to go not really done like a professional business. Truck needs maintenance check. Truck goes out at a 1/4 tank of fuel why not full what happens to the cash for U Haul filling tanks for $4-5 a gallon. Fill the tank so the customer won't have to slow his move to put fuel in then load. The customer ask for a truck an equipment should be load clean ready to go no trash or other items left in it.
