This company waited until after I was rented and paid for to inform me that the loading dock was torn out and under construction, and this resulted in me being unable to get some of my larger peices in the unit on the day I rented a truck and paid my help. I received no discount for the inconvenience. I switched storage companies and am renting a 20x20 with a full garage door opening for 90 dollars a month.Teresa B. | Overall Experience
Upon return I was required to stand in the rain, doing cute little tasks with my phone that I don't pull out in the rain, under the threat of being charged extra for not participating in this foolishness. You have cameras. This was not necessary as I am not employed by uhaul. This was like punishing me for renting your equipment. Not how I would treat my customers knowing they just got done moving. Extremely difficult to get in touch with staff and when we did, they were some of the rudest customer service reps I've ever had the displeasure of coming across. Even when showing concern over a security issue of the front gate to the units being left open for days, I was cut off and told that this isn't a problem of the uhaul employees and that they need an outside source to come and fix the problem from a recent wind storm. This may be accurate but at the facility receiving the costumers money for a service, the approach should have been different and an apology for the inconvenience should have still be given. When initially signing up, I signed a paper for automatic withdrawal from my bank account that the rep failed to ever submit and therefore, got a late fee my first month ontop of a letter about my being late and my mother got the same letter. I get that that's the process but due to a mistake on the facilities part, unnecessary embarrassment ensued with my mother thinking I was delinquent on a bill. Then it was a pain to rectify the situation work dealing with corporate customer service and finally being transferred to the entirely rude harborcreek location staff. My debit card was stolen. My account defaulted. I changed my information at the web site. There was some issue with it which the person at the counter stated loudly that the card was rejected for lack of funds. He used the OLD card that was in the system. I told him again that was the wrong card. We then used the correct card and it went through. No apology for announcing it for the entire room to hear. I went to my unit and there was a green ziplock on the unit. I called to have them remove it. At first they said they would but 20 minutes later no one came. I called back only to be transferred to the manager who stated he was going home and i could remove it myself. I stated again that I did not put it on and they needed to remove it and that I didnt want to damage it. I was told that if I didnt like it I could be removed from the unit and I could go elsewhere. Really? Is this the way UHaul treats a customer of over 4 years??brian d. | First Impressions

It would have been a better experience if there were not so many computer problems. The computer glitches caused delays in securing a unit, a long wait for receipts to be printed, and getting access to the building to use our unit. Waiting for an hour to get into the building while they tried to figure out what the problem was certainly the last of the many problems we encountered. If you're going to be moving/hauling a motorcycle be sure to get your own straps rather than the uhaul straps they have to buy! I bought a set of straps to haul my motorcycle to storage and 1 strap broke causing the bike to fall over on the trailer!!!!Noah E.

Very disappointed that I had to drive across town to pick up the trailer when there are 4 other locations closer to me. When I made the reservation they said the transportation coordinator would call me to discuss moving it to a closer location but that never happened. I rented this vehicle and nearly ran a fireman over directing traffic. The driving headlights were so dim and misalligned you could not see the road in front of you. When I thought I saw something in front of me I clicked on the high beams. All the driving lights went out! When I got the lights back on I was only 10 feet from the fireman directing traffic. A PA State Trooper pulled me to the side and asked why I turned off my lights? I explained what happened. I told this to the manager at UHaul who told me it was not their truck.John K.
The only negative I have is we returned the truck UNDER estimated mileage and OVER on gasoline. I was told I would be refunded for under mileage which did NOT happen.Suzanne E.

The only issue I have (and its a big one!) is that my rental location was change by U-Haul 2 times. Each time, father from my house. I made the reservation a week in advance and was told there were no issues and was good to go. Got a call a few days later moving my pick up / drop off location to a new location farther from my house. Then it happened again... moving the location again even farther and all the way across town. This added well over an hour to my trip and millage as well. Not a happy move after all the extra drive time.Neal C.
Why such a large late fee with no grace period? Even a small curtousy email message or text message would go a long way. Especially 3 days in advance prior to your bill. That's the least someone could do. Considering other company's have the database and resources ya'll should as well. The young man at the front desk when I picked up my u-haul was very short and rude... He didn't offer any insurance ask if I needed any additional products didn't say please hello thank you nothing! ALSO YOU, I can never get anyone on the phone.. the last time I tried for over an hour & I decided to drive to uhaul while I was calling.. turns out there was absolutely no one in the shop at all and the boy was sitting there playing on his phone. When I get there I ask him to have a manager call me because I was afraid I left something very important in the u-haul but of course no one called me back. There is literally no customer service at this place & I WILL NEVER USE THE LOCATION AGAIN.Sage K.

You need to improve the reservation process. Twice I reserved a truck only to be canceled the night before. I had to scramble to find something else. Move out dates are SET IN STONE. Customers rely on the reservations.Hunter C.

I reserved my unit online. After reserving I called and none seemed to have my info. A second call, and my reservation was found however the employee failed to mention that the loading doc was under construction and completely missing. A side utility door up a set of stairs was the alternative to get to my unit. I was also not told in advance about the lock provided, so I had bought an industrial lock and threw the package away making it non returnable for me. I was unable to get my largest furniture in my unit because of the side door loading entrance. No warning, no discounts. This would have completely changed my choices had I known in advance, made my move difficult and impeded what I need to store in my unit.Teresa B. | First Impressions

nice clean unit. reasonable rate. one hiccup, poor directions to accessing the unit. There are keypads with instructions on the man door and both sliding doors. Using these did not work and error message stated I was not logged in. The attendant on duty said they've been having trouble with the online information transferring over and manually opened the sliding door for me. The next time I visited the same happened, so I again went inside to find out what was up. This time the manager was on duty and stated you must first log in to the center keypad (which looks identical to the other keypads and has no signage stating you must log in to that one first). So much for contactless setup! Better posted instructions and education for employees would be good. Otherwise no other complaints.phillip l. | Online Move In

Sometimes things get missed. No big deal. But I will say my unit wasn't clean for a very long time. A ton of cobwebs and a lot of dirt on the floor. I told the worker about it and her response was "if there was a blue tag and a lock inside I had to be clean". Ummm. Well, it wasn't. Just thought it was ironic that a company that charges me if I leave anything dirty, and here I am cleaning up after them. Kinda funny. Like I said, no big deal.
