Expense! $160 for mileage on top of the rental and then gas was charged to completely FILL the tank instead of to half, where I received it PLUS a $30 gas surcharge. The costs with all that are exorbitant. Total cost of rental for TWO days is $400+!!!! The store manager Katrina doesn't call back if you're having problems. Northpoint Blvd location NEVER answers the phone, y always get sent to the call center.This is the only storage company that I know that doesn't prorate and charge you for an extra month even if you're moving out the day after your due date. This was my first experience using them and will be my last! I will go back to using PUBLIC STORAGE! Customer service has never been an issue. ive been doing retail business there buying shipping products for years, i know every part number by memory, always under staffed, went to rent a truck, reserved it week in advance wasnt there, had me standing aroundn while they waited on others offered a smaller truck! then when a 20 ft came in i reserved a 15 i took the 930 friday morning and needed it till Saturday afternoon there ringing my phone where is the truck not ever giving to shits about me and my moving concerns only about everyone else, and twice on september 27th this was wrote up as a pickup truck rental twice!! i had to call back to confirm the 15ft and still never got it! you could not screw up any more if u tried!JAMES T.

First, I reserved a truck 1.6 miles from my home. The day before pickup, it was announced that I would be picking up 17 miles from my home. It was not missed that this happened at a time that made it almost impossible to find a closer truck, regardless of company or expense. When I picked the truck up, the equipment that I rented was not available. I would never recommend U- haul to my worst enemy. Fuck them. The odometer in the truck was wrong when we picked it up (after hours so the office was closed). There's no way to change that in the online system. I took a photo, uploaded it and left a comment right away. I noted the same error when we returned the truck (on time.) Again, I took a photo and uploaded it. it made no difference. I've been charged 48 miles instead of the 16 that we actually drove. It's been over a month now, and I've tried calling multiple times but wait times are always over 30 minutes. I've sent four complaints from my Uhaul account by now and tried the chat, but got kicked out. I've yet to be reimbursed or receive a response. Totally unacceptable.Victoria H.

My reservation was made weeks in advance for pick up via the app at 8am. I even called to confirm this the day before. The morning of I wasn't able to pickup until the location opened at 9am. I rented a 9 foot van, only to discover when I got to my destination to pick up my furniture that there was a broken car door in the back of the van with broken glass everywhere. When I returned the van I mentioned it to the manager who said "oh yea I put it there don't worry about it". No apology or anything just oh I left it there. Very unprofessional in my opinion. That should not be rented out to customers. What if my belongings were damaged due to the broken glass or I was injured from it. Will not be renting from this place again.NICHOLAS M.
There was only one employee and we had to wait 30 minutes, the person in front of us was the one being waited on. Also we were very overcharged. We put 2 gallons of gas in the pickup. We drove 36 miles. We were charged for 4 gallons of gas on top of the 2 we bought. Either the truck only gets 6 miles per gallon or that location is being run by thieves. I would never recommend your company after this experience. And I would like my money back for the 4 gallons of gas.JAMES J.
I was very frustrated with the reservation system. First, when I tried to make a reservation on the website I was instructed that I would receive a code in my email to confirm the reservation. I asked for the code to be sent three times and then gave up. The next morning I found three codes sent to me at least three hours after I requested them. This meant I had three reservations. Second, the truck I reserved was not available at my requested time and location. When I picked up the truck I asked about the U-Haul $50 guarantee and the clerk didn't know about it. The truck had an oil light on but I was told to drive it anyway. The gas was listed as 1/4 tank but I showed agent it was less than that and she didn't update the contract. As I drove out the gas level dropped to E and I had to pull I to the first gas station I could find. The truck misfires going up hills. It needs to be serviced!KEITH R.

My experience was very disappointing. The staff at this location was not helpful and did not seem to understand how to use their reservation programs. The first person helping me typed with just two fingers and did not look at his work so I had to correct him multiple times. The saving grace to that experience was that the screen was turned outward so that I could see it. Otherwise I imagine we would have had even more issues. Then this gentleman could not find my reservation (I believe he was looking in the wrong place) and essentially made me start an entirely new one. When I reserved I was told I would have an outward facing, first floor, climate controlled unit. When I got to the space they would bot look up any record of my unit and tried to assign me to a unit that would have us going through a maze. This facility also seemed to have no security and I wouldn't trust the staff to watch one of my houseplants let alone all of my belongings. While waiting in the parking lot we witnessed domestic abuse. It became clear during this process that I would need to find a new unit. I asked the staff to help me get a later truck return time free of charge and they could bot help with this either. One person told me that because she did not make the reservation she could not look up the details. This was perplexing because I would assume any uhaul employee should have that ability. Moving has it's own stresses and emotions leaving a place I love. This experience at u-haul was so horrendous and added such unnecessary stress and lost time to our journey. It's nice and clean BUT it's TOO hot in there. The temperature on the thermostat inside the storage facility rose from 87 to 88 degrees yesterday afternoon as I unloaded my trailer (Sunday, June 27). I brought this to the attention of the manager on duty. She was very nice and attempted to lower the temperature but it did not cool off. This is a serious concern being that many of the customers' belongings are sensitive to heat, which is why we've agreed to pay a premium for climate control units. Everytime I opened my unit alarms went off because I was never told I had to put in my code when I went in. My unit was at the end of row the lights NEVER CAME ON did not feels safe when I was there by myself. When I said something when I closed out the unit I got " yea they are working on it".
