Overall, I needed a truck, they gave me a truck. However, being that it had just snowed the day prior, the truck had not been cleaned or shoveled out prior to my arrival. I did it myself. I can give them a pass since it was reserved earlier that day, but it is still part of the service one would expect.

the guy who helped me was very easy going. The other employee was very rude and wanted me to raise the receiver hitch to knee height. this made the trailer extremely un level and i knew it wouldn't be safe to pull it like that. I told him i wouldn't pull the trailer unless it was level. he yelled i can do what i want but i'm responsible for damages while storming back into the store.

I have always rented from this location because of the hours, the equipment and the staff is very accommodating. The equipment this time was not in good maintenance. The appliance dolly wheels barely turned until I greased them, the truck door was hard to shut right, and the ramp was hard to get in and out and its latch would get stuck.

Th location in Madison was great. Prior to that I was directed to a location in West Salem, WI and when I called there the woman I spoke with was very rude and hung up on me. I'd never go to the West Salem, WI location.

Everything was great with returning the truck. But the initial pick up process was slowed down by me using the app check out process--I had to provide an alternate contact phone number and wait in the parking lot while someone at Uhaul HQ contacted my alternate contact. I wasted 20 minutes. The process was almost perfect other than this very convoluted step in the process. I have an account with Uhaul and used the rental services before. It's strange I had to go through that step like Uhaul suspected me of doing something nefarious despite my track record with the company...

I was called on the morning of thanksgiving and informed that I would have to drive over an hour & a half to pick up a trunk 15 ft truck. I understand that pick up and drop off locations are subject to change dependent upon availability. However, I live in grant county that have multiple u haul locations. I was told on this call that I would have to drive outside of the state of Wisconsin to pick up a truck. (to Lena, Il) . I asked the uhaul employee what are my options are, we were able to make other accommodation and only have to drive 10 mile to a location in grant county, but would have to bring the truck back to that location. I asked if any discounts would be applied since I would have to double my trip. Since I would have to drive the trunk back, which was not in my initial "order". The employee on the phone was willing to accommodate the request, mentioning the cost would be $60 + some change (including insurance). However, the morning I went to pick up the truck I was not quoted the same, the employee at desk made me go through the same conversation I previously had on thanksgiving morning. I asked why I was repeating the conversation, my understanding was that I figured it out on the morning of thanksgiving. the employee at the desk ignore my questions and proceeded to repeat the cost on his screen, 60$ that I was told was going to be my cost. I was very displeased with my experience.

For second consecutive time, they attempted to charge me a fuel surcharge. I drove 14 miles and put 3.5 gallons of fuel in across the street. I took a picture of the fuel gauge at check-out. And then at check-in. The gauge was higher at check-in than check-out and he STILL wanted to charge me. The check-in fuel amount system in your computer does not match the gauges on your vehicles. But more importantly I think you skew the system so people will have to pay for fuel because hey it's $8 and they are spending likely thousands on moves. This is dishonorable.

The motorcycle trailer was full of ice. When my daughter stated that she didnt know how she could use the trailer when it was full of snow, she was told that "I already cleaned the fucking snow out of the trailer". Real great customer service witb foul language. Never again will we be using UHaul. A complaint has been filed

The website experience was horrible. I originally tried using the 24/7 service and had the following issues 1. I was not able to check the required boxes for terms and conditions, even after opening the links. This was on the mobile and desktop version of the page 2. Multiple times the site would not load the next page 3. The map showing the location of the truck was the wrong location The in store experience was great, employees were helpful and knowledgeable and it was a great experience, but the website experience was so bad I'll try a competitor next time
