Hi Gregory, Buck Buchanan here. Truck was prepped and clean. Personal were very professional, explained check out return procedures, Good job. Returning truck was outstanding, personal were friendly and professional. Was in and out under 5 minutes. Truck was clean and ready at pickup time. The truck rented may have an alignment and steering concerns in my opinion. Strong under steer steer in long sweeping turns at freeway speeds 40-70mph, front end alignment. Possible tie rod ends or drag link joints at freeway speeds, Rougher freeway road conditions required continual small corrections. Steering concern.

Truck was smelly inside. Added an air freshener and that fixed the problem. Also, received the car with less than a half tank of gas (which they noted) but cars should come with a full tank so that customers don't have to get gas immediately.

The equipment provide had very poor air conditioning. I was driving from Dublin, California to Chandler, AZ. Since the temperatures were. Wry high and no air conditioning in the equipment, I lately removed my TShirt and drove this vehicle. A very pathetic and terrible experience driving. This ten footer. Thanks Yogi

The return process was not smooth. The staff member couldn't find the key even though it's so obviously placed in the dashboard packet. They left the truck in the parking lot over night and called me the next morning left a voice mail saying they would continuously charge me until I return the key….. I need to go there in person on a Sunday morning to tell them it's in the dashboard pocket. Eventually, it's resolved by the sales rep…. But it's not good experience at all….

Excellent service provided by the staff and very helpful. The pre-loading of blankets and dolly in trucks takes away from usable space in the truck but that's a corporate decision and not a location one and it caused me a little annoyance while loading. The location had the right trucks available when everyone else was sold out during a popular time for moving. The staff provided guidance and tips which was very helpful in my situation.

Location was great. I feel ripped off though. I hired moving helpers through U-Haul. First they would not answer the phone for several hours they morning of the move. Then the Man at the U-Haul location called him. He did answer for him. They showed up 2 hours and 40 minutes late and the first thing they did was turn my dresser upsidedown and slide it down the hardwood stairs on its top loaded it into our trailer and broke the cord on our mini fridge. We told them to leave immediately. Then I spent 45 minutes on hold with U-Haul then when they answered they told me to call moving helpers and spent another 30 minutes on hold. When they answered they gave me a refund for the helpers but not for the trailer. So now I have to rent 2 more trailers and I hired more moving helpers. I was also told I could not leave a bad review if I got a refund for them. Terrible!!!! I am filing a claim for the dresser and the mini fridge but U-Haul again said to do it through moving helpers and moving helpers said to do it through U-Haul. I am really upset with the whole experience. My bedroom set was matching bed, dresser, and nightstands. Now I won't have a matching set.

My reservation was moved around a couple of times after confirmation that I would have a truck. I finally landed on a 23' truck at Dublin location. When I arrived, I was told they were overbooked and I didn't have a truck. Instead of apologizing, the person helping me turned to the other worker and laughed as if to say “he really thinks he will get a truck”. They did not try to offer any alternative solutions (a smaller size truck or another time to pick up). They said they only had one truck. I noticed there were two on the lot and asked “what about the one on the street”. They realized that was for a customer the next day. It took some convincing but I was able to get that one for today like I was originally reserved for. Overall, terrible customer service. They made it seem like I was crazy for thinking I could get a truck even though I had a confirmed reservation. They also made me feel dumb the whole time, laughing at me openly. Terrible customer service.

We rented a 26' truck, going one way to Washington. Took the truck off lot, got on 680 heading north and had to turn off the first exit. The "play" with the steering wheel was excessive. Went back to the facility, not able to get another truck w/in 50 mile radius, had to use anyway. Manager said we could get a discount. Never happened, even after talking w/ someone on line and repeatedly called the facility to talk w/ the manager, who said she would talk w/ the owner, again, never happened. Got home to start packing and was suppose to have an appliance dolly, but instead supplied us w/ a furniture dolly, no big difference in price- but actually needed an appliance dolly. Had to call again to note they did not accurately complete the order.

Vehicle got about 6 miles per gallon. Took 180 dollars in gas to drive round trip to Dublin and back. Did same rental from Dublin round trip and cost was 150 dollars cheaper.

I accidentally overlooked a payment on my last month and I was sent a very harsh email saying that U-Haul “demands payment “immediately and my property was threatened with a lien… This is the first contact I received I would’ve appreciate a kind reminder as my parents were in bad condition in the hospital and i accidentally missed my payment. i payed immediately after receiving the email but it was unnecessarily harsh so i removed all of my property and left

I recently purchased a 5x5 unit, which is located inside a building. The website states that I could have access to it until 10pm Mon-Sun. I tried to drop off some expensive items at 8:30pm on my way to catch a flight home for Christmas. When I arrived, the door to the building where my unit is located was locked. The office was closed. The hours posted for the holiday season dont go into effect until tomorrow. I called customer service to see if someone could unlock the building where my unit was located. I was told they would put me on hold but, instead was disconnected. I called back. The second person told me it's the company's policy that indoor units can only be accessed during office hours. That wasn't the product I purchased. The customer service representative told me it sucks but there's nothing I can do about it. I'm Active Military and only in the area for a short while. I only purchased use of this unit for the time I would be home for the holidays and not in the area. I'm now out $100 and forced to leave thousands of dollars of equipment in my vehicle at an airport parking lot instead of being able to utilize the storage unit I purchased. If the access hours are different for various storage units, that needs to be disclosed before purchase. I paid extra to have the peace of mind of using a well known company vs a smaller, local company to avoid such issues. The lack of information about what I actually purchased and poor customer service have left me very dissatisfied.

Our trailer got ants - the staff didn't know if pest control was used ever or when the last time was. Debris like nails and other construction material were everywhere. The boat in the spot behind us often parked one to two feet into our space. The gate was broken and left open multiple times.

I've had this storage unit for 9 years. Always felt safe and secure. The prices seem to go up every year so I finally made the move to empty the unit. You made me realize I can buy all new holiday decorations and camping equipment each year for less than storing them. Gracias.

Two issues where I had to change to a different storage unit when the one I reserved was overrun by ants. When the employee made the change she accidentally moved me out of my other storage unit. It was a good thing I discovered the mistake as U-Haul probably would have cut my lock and then sold my possessions :-( Overall the experience was good other than what I just described.

The storage unit was just what i needed! It served the purpose for a safe contained space while i needed it. Staff were almost always there at the counter to help customers, which is to say I rarely had to wait for service. When I did have to wait for a staff person to return to the counter, it usually wasn't for very long. The younger staff are not friendly, but they do their job. The older staff are pleasant and friendly and i always felt like i was getting better service when the staff were kind, gentle and pleasant.

I would have rated this 5 stars but wasn't informed of how to properly move out of my unit. I told the Uhaul employee in person that I was moving out of my storage unit on the 7th when I rented a truck to do so. I asked if he could cancel my reservation of the unit and if I needed to do anything else. I was told no. The next day my bank account was charged for the unit and I had to submit a cancellation through the website. I wasn't told that I would need to take further steps else be charged for the unit and so I am very unhappy and will be filling a claim with my bank for the return of my $114.

My personal information was entered into the system incorrectly and I never received a bill - instead a late notice was mailed to my friend which was annoying and embarrassing. There is not much light in the interior storage facilities. Every time I tried to call no one answered the phone.

I tried to contact manager (via phone - no answer - and email) to inform of move out date as our billing date is close to same day.....instead of a response, I got a receipt for the billing which was ONE DAY in to the new charges BEFORE they were actually due....I feel entitled to a refund!! Unit was empty in two days DUE TO THIS LOCATION NOT HAVING THE ACCESS HOURS THEY HAD WHEN WE MOVED IN!! ACCESS HOURS ARE STATED TO BE UNTIL.10:00 PM - EVEN CORPORATE SAID THIS...YET 7 PM WHEN OFFICE CLOSES - ACCESS ENDS. This has inconvenienced me on more than one visit to my unit. Not sure what happened because the place was cool when we got in....Nov. 2019.... .

I cannot praise the Dublin facility enough. Greg, the manager, is a lifesaver. When the Oakland Uhaul storage facility flooded, he and his team moved my belongings to the Dublin facility while I was traveling for work. Excellent professionalism!!

I rented a cargo trailer that was recommended, but ended up being too small. So had to order another trailer last night at 7pm. I had to leave my UHaul out on the street when the store closed, to hook up another trailer. Rented a 10x10, but you all close access to the gates and storage too early (7pm), so I had to rent at Oublic Storage (who has access until 9pm). Brought the open air trailer back at 10pm (3 hours later), but couldn't easy return it, as the clerk apparently never checked the unit in. Then I had to wait on the phone in a woman who was trying to fix it. I had to send pics. Then I had to buy a hydraulic jack so I could lift my full cargo trailer back on my truck at 11pm.

Overall, this experience was great in theory, but poor in execution. Our unit was supposed to be ready to go with a lock inside, but when we arrived, the unit had a padlock on it. We had to drive back out the entrance and go inside the store (which we were trying to avoid due to COVID) to finally track down someone who could come unlock it. This was after I'd tried calling only to have the line hang up. The guy unlocked the unit while we were still unloading stuff so we didn't get a chance to make sure there was a lock inside before he took off. Sure enough, there wasn't a lock, so we had to make a second trip back up to the front and into the store, where this time there was a long line of people (again, trying to socially distance here), to ask for the lock. All in all, I can't complain too much - it was free with the truck rental. But for something that was advertised as effortless, this took a ton of time and social interaction we just weren't prepared for.

He was very helpful when the movers I hired, Uhaul-IHaul, screwed me over. I reserved a 10x20 unit and a 10x10 unit. I was delayed in my return of the 26' Truck and checking into the storage unit due to protest. I called the service center and sent messages daily to inform them of my progress and when I expected to arrive to the storage unit. When I did arrive and attempted to check into the storage unit, I was told I had no reservation and they didn't even have a unit in that size available for me. I was able to pull up my emails showing my reservations, but it didn't matter because they had already rented it out. I chose this storage location because I had 12' kayaks with me, and I needed the 20' storage unit. The store did offer me 2 10x10 units instead. But it was less than ideal and I had to purchase a 3rd unit as well because I had to store my kayaks in the unit at a less than ideal angle do to the small size of the unit. I plan on contacting customer service at a soon and discussing the cost of a 3 10x10 units vs the cost of a 10x20 unit. The people working in the store were courteous and helpful, and I don't think that it was there fault. I'm not sure where the issue was, but it made it an extremely unpleasant experience. In the future I can't say for certain that I will use UHaul storage again.

I had reserved a unit of my liking, come to find out they didn't had my reservation. I also rented a truck but they didn't have it when I arrived. ( they ended up giving me a bigger one at same rate) but the fact that I had to wait when I had done the online reservation plus I had to go home and try to find a unit that I could used to no success I ended up renting one there indoors which made my moved a lot harder plus delayed my whole day.
