I keep going back and forth with my reservation and on my drop of location was switched twice with out me knowing and I had to go to another place from downtown where my storage was to Culver City and I was still charge a late fee and I had to pay for a Lyft to go back to my storageCarmelita M. | First Impressions

The location pick-up was great. I DID however have a problem with the reservation system. I reserved a 15 foot truck weeks in advance only to be given a 10 foot truck which would not fit all of my belongings. Leaving me to now make several other trips to finish my move. I was very very disappointed with this process, and will never recommend this location to anyone else. I spent time making a reservation for my storage unit, and went with this location because it has 24/7 access. I then arrive to get my u-haul to prepare my move and they decide to then tell me the elevator was broken. If something that integral happens, I think they should call people who have made. a reservation. I was not going to climb up 7 flights of stairs with all of my furniture. They also made it seem like I didn't have a reservation, and the person was very rude and unhelpful. We then had to spend time finding another storage unit, and no other places had 24/7 access so we needed to keep theu-haul overnight so we could get the stuff in the next day. I needed to take off work, pay more for the eu-haul, and spend much more time. I would like a discount from this.HARRISON B.

I had a reservation at the Atwater uhaul for 9:30 to pick up. I received a text confirming that it was 9:30. When I showed up they said the computer stated the reservation was at 7:30 and they had given my cargo van away. The uhaul employee found me another cargo van at the uhaul on Arapaho . They were very nice there but unfortunately the damage had been done and it caused me to be 30 min late for a job and to look VERY unprofessional!!!STEVEN S.

This rental van, although new was a complete Dead on Arrival (DOA) disaster. It had previous electrical issues and yet somehow I ended up with it, heading by myself into the desert as the season changes to cold. I needed a reliable van and got one with draining electric issues and dead battery. The headlights lights flash on their own as well. I needed a new reliable van so I called to see if I can switch it out, they said yes there are plenty of vans to choose, and because I couldn't drop it off in Yucca Valley Uhaul because it was a local rental, I drove it back to LA 200 miles even though I just had a dead van with little to no cell reception and didn't get to complete my trip due to this. So when I arrived to switch out the van, they said that A. They didn't have any vans available, and B. They couldn't see any notes on electrical issues or roadside assistance that they could see in Uhauls system. C. So they did not believe me and D. Did not give a refund or E. Find another van for me and called the manager Yolanda who F. Did not offer a solution other than to come back the next day, but E. I wasn't planning to stay in LA overnight, and I don't want to just cancel my contract because F. My belongings were in the back so I would need to put them somewhere if I wasn't given a new van so I went and stayed overnight in a Spa. I came back to speak with Yolanda about my options and she was dismissive and defiant in being of assistance. Instead she accused me of trying to get money from her and that she didn't believe me that there was anything wrong with the electrical system again! I asked her why she could not see the notes in the van and she did not know. I asked why someone said that a van was available and she did not know. I asked if the was a van to switch out for another week and she said no. She became shirt with me and said I she will check why the system wasn't working and call me back tomorrow. She did not call me back. I called her and talked with multiple people because Yolanda was not there. She did not call me back again. I called and spoke with various people at the location and play the main customer service. Customer service could see my vans electrical roadside assistance update and the location did not. Finally I got ahold of Yolanda and she said that I was holding her van hostage because I wanted to switch it out, not cancel the contract and then have nothing reserved because there is nothing available...and the holiday season is coming and Fed Ex etc are now renting extra vans out for commercial delivery..so I was trying to get ahold of someone who can help me at Uhaul. Finally, Yolanda says she can now see the electrical issues I had and the roadside assistance that she claimed I was not being truthful about. So she offered a refund of one day $20! I had now gone through all this trouble for $20? So I decided to take the van back. But, because the van has been parked on the street in DTLA it was broken into, two windows smashed, and my belongings stolen out of the back. After making a series of phone calls and reports to police and insurance and American Express I dropped off the van and returned it with the Uhaul attendant saying that my contract was still open until Yolanda called me back the next day. The next day she did not call back. I called twice and talked to customer service representative finally who told me information that that van had previously had multiple electrical and battery issues! Yolanda would have also taken my van and given it to someone else even after having another electrical problem. This van has some kind of major previous and existing issues. I request Uhaul refund me for these days using this faulty vehicle with known previous electrical issues and hope they can find a way to also not charge me for the broken windows. I should be with a working reliable van in the middle of the desert, not in the middle of LA being vandalized. And I shouldn't have to prove myself to a Uhaul manager. And I shouldn't have to pay for this lemon.Tristan B.

Courteous service. They had problems with the Uhaul computer system but were understanding and tried the best they could to accommodate everyone. They were very helpful in hooking up and demonstrating how the trailer operates and safely checking the electrical connections. Same courteous approach on returning the trailer. As I was leaving he even checked my car tires.James C.

I just completed my comments a moment ago; it appears it was not submitted properly! I will attempt to do this one more/last time. Overall I was satisfied with my experience with U/guys..Uhaul. I have rented a Van 3 to 4 times in the last few weeks. The manager, Yolanda and others on down the latter were efficient and mostly polite. I had a unique problem that after several and call/waiting (forever) calls finally got resolved. I also would like to credit the youngsters that work in the lot! These young guys were most efficient and polite. In fact to me they were the best part of my experience with you guys! I am retired but have been in mid/senior management for 50 years with major corps. I know of what I SPEAK! Do not forget about those folks that do the hands on work day in and day out. The 10' trucks should ALWAYS come equipped with ramps. Luckily, I had used quick thinking utilizing a large piece of scrap plywood left over from home renovations to load two stoves and a very Large refrigerator. I was shocked and disappointed when I learned that it wasn't standard with the rental. The extra time that it took for me to find plywood, I lost valuable time leading me to return the truck 2 hours past the time that it was due back on the lot.Bruce A.

You need to make it easier to search for the actual U-Haul locations on google maps. It is hard to distinguish this location, which is an actual U-Haul location, from all of the â€œuhaul neighborhood dealersâ€, which are random parking lots with a couple trucks. Customers frequently go to the wrong location because there is no way to distinguish them.STERLING W.

Devon (Sp?) was excellent, kind, friendly and had a great sense of humor. We met him Sunday, when we picked up the van. The tech that went through the van with us was also awesome. After the poor treatment I received at the 6th st. locale, I was super pleased at Arapahoe. The gentleman at 6th St. needs help, more sleep I guess, and a much better attitude. Moving is stressful and challenging, customers need help and some compassion. The guy at 6th St was neither kind nor helpful.Delia M.

Excellent service and professionals. The only reason I didn't give it the highest rating is that there is no parking on the U-Haul lot, and very little parking on the street. Also, unfortunately, the place is located on a small residential street, so difficult to maneuver large vehicles in and out.MICHAELS I.

I was charged for dolly and pads which I verbally declined. I went back in and they couldn't refund and left a note for manager but couldn't provide me any documents. Have yet to be refunded. Additionally, both employees were engaged in inappropriate conversations consisting of repeated swearing. Also eating at desk and being dismissive of clients. Very bad experience.CHEYENNE E.
