MICHAEL C.There was a problem getting me access. The card keys didn't work. When I called the day of my move they said I didn't have a reservation when I had gone in person to make one. When I was given a storage unit and went to start unloading, the unit had a lock on it. I had to go back down to get another unit on a different floor. I ended up having to pay the movers an hour extra for all the delays.

THANDIWE N.There used to be a lot of homeless that would use the bathroom and stay in storage units all day, which made it unsafe. The staff was not very accommodating. More often than not they would make you feel like you should be happy they're helping you. Limited parking, low amounts of carts, and a dirty lobby all made for a bad experience!

Manuel T.Soon as a left the Uhaul center the mirror on the driver side fell off. It had fresh glue on it. Since this was the last truck of that size I kept it but it was a serious hazard switching lanes and backing up. I soon realized that it was dangerous not having one side mirror. I called and mentioned this to the uHaul center and they said they were aware of the mirror issue. How can you rent a dangerous vehicle out like this without fully inspecting the truck. When I returned the truck later on I mentioned this issue again and the lady said she was going to reach out to the manager. No one ever called me and I was charged the full amount.

I want to start by saying the woman working with us was new, so this is not her problem, but it was managements. Primarily I want to start off by saying NO ONE was wearing masks which is not okay right now. That was my primary issue because that's a safety/health issue and i am at risk. This move was not optional and i expected Ubaul to comply with health & safety directiom put forth by the CDC. In addition, the manager was walking around the store getting really close to me and walking around the store while the woman helping us (clearly new to Uhaul) was struggling. Our check in process took 55 minutes which was frustrating for many reasons. I missed my move out slot in NYC and because of that, I lost my reserved parking spot for my building. Everything we moved had to be carried around the block to where we were able to find a spot. I do however appreciate that they let us keep the van until the next morning. Everyone was nice and apologetic it is just frustrating that the process took so long and that the staff was not respectful enough to understand that everyone else coming in and out of the building was wearing a mask. There are glass shields at the register (which frankly is not enough) but I had plenty of interactions with employees away from that desk.
