Our 2 u-boxes were supposed to arrive on 9/16/21. However they did not arrive until 10/08/21 (21 days later). I called Uhaul 6 times and no one was able to assist me regarding the ETA of my boxes. In fact I had multiple agents hung up the phone. The last person I spoke to said UHaul would email me as soon as the boxes arrive at the Hillside,NJ location, and that I would be reimbursed $50 for each day the boxes were late. I have yet to receive a refund from U-haul, and any communication from Uhaul about my boxes. In fact, I found out my boxes were delivered on 10/08/2021 because I logged into my U-hual account not because anyone contacted me. I do not reccomend their U-box service. Service was incompetent. You get mediocre service at a full price rate.Lorena R.

My favorites were Karena, the young girl who picked up the boxes yesterday, and the worker at the UHaul location that brings out the boxes when I needed to open my container. I had an issue with the pickup of the container. I was subsequently charged an additional storage fee nectar it was picked up one day late, which was not my fault. I tried to reach out to customer service and was on hold for too long, too many times. I've sent several emails and received zero response. The local lady was very unhelpful, and assured my her people did nothing wrong and referred me to customer service who won't answer the phone call. I tried chat and they suggested I soak with the local company. I will fight the charge with my bank. And when people ask about my experience with you all, I will not give good reviews. You had a chance to rectify this and chose to ignore me.Sarah R.

Please take more time to inspect your trucks before you release them to the next customer. I had a situation that could have resulted in a fatal accident. Both hood latches on my 26ft. truck were not secured when I picked up the truck. I traveled through Nevada with high winds and the entire hood flew up and covered my entire view out of the windshield. I had to find a safe place to pull over immediately.AUDREE Y.

I ordered a box truck and 2 furniture dollys online, when I arrived the location told me that they had no Dollys left, nor anything they could offer in exchange or for sale. I'd suggest making sure your website is always up to date on the inventory of each store. Other than that everything else went fantastic and the employees were very helpful.JESSICA D.
20 ft truck didn't have the furniture mover or hard dolly so was able to pick up the furniture dolly at this location. The sales person said he had the hand dolly also so it was added to my order, but he didn't have the hand dolly. He was to delete that one but it was still on my account. Well I rented a box truck. When returning truck I called an hour ahead to let them know I was running a bit late. Employee was polite and told me no problem I can return truck at 9 Oman's drop keys off. I was given a text with my info and a link to go to when I did it wouldn't allow me to I then called your answering service told them I'm returning truck and I'm unable to do it on line He told me I had to have a app I told him I couldn't on my phone but since it's raining and I have you already on the phone would you help me by doing it over the phone Well EXCUSE ME for asking for help kept telling me that there was nothing he could of done I told him that I'm unable too he asked type of phone I told it's the service I didn't have so doing my part dropping it off but to corner me and have me figure it out as i was on location raining and with answering service telling me U-Haul will charge me more money to leave it is Unacceptable ! I did everything asked of me I ran behind on time I called to see then I returned truck and after an hour trying to correctly do my part I feel I was cornered to have more money pulled out of me I must say I'm not happy and will look into other moving companies as well. I appreciate all your company resources but if asking and calling for help and I don't get help but do get charged for me is not the type of business I like to do !Randy P.

After originally reserving a truck at Rita Ranch Dog Wash for mobile pick up and arriving at 7am to find out they don't do mobile pick up and don't open to 9am I was furious. This would put us 2 hours behind with the movers we hired through UHaul. I found another location down the road, reserved a 26' truck and went over there. They were open. But when I got there, they did not have a 26' truck. The woman there was incredibly kind to me and got on the phone with UHaul dispatch and found a truck for me at the St Mary's location. We ended up only being 45 minutes behind thanks to your team and efficient service.CASEY T.

Only pressure came from Friday night staff. They called saying if I didn't respond in 20 minutes they would set pickup to automated. I had to stop to reply and phone # did not go directly to my designated store. I was on time but felt like staff wanted to leave early on Friday night. I am not proficient with taking pictures with my phone nor conducting business remotely. So I wanted to complete contract with staff. I was originally scheduled to pick up my uhaul at TireUp with mobile option as this location is closed on Sundays. When I went to check in online I received a message saying.. â€œwait until location is open at 10amâ€ even though it was 11 am and again, location is closed Sundays. There was no visible key box or instruction on how to pick up my scheduled uhaul. I then called the customer service number on the website and was told the wait time was 26 min. I had Ubered to TireUp and was outside in over 100 degree weather. Very, very disappointing mobile experience. I called the downtown location and luckily they had a truck available for me. Also luckily a friend was able to pick me up and take me to that location. The process was easy from there on out, but I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the online process and time wasted.KAYLA S.

Originally I was supposed to pickup my truck from a dealer on 2120 E Broadway Blvd but when I arrived a tire on the truck was completely flat and had sidewall damage. I was able to be redirected to the location at 450 Freeway. However I lost almost 45 minutes of labor due to the delay which cost me extra money. It is completely unacceptable for a dealer to have my truck in an unsafe in-roadworthy condition.Andrew W.

This U-Haul site is where I dropped off my equipment but later I found out that they changed me for extra days of rental as well as excessive mileage. Neither one of these charges are valid because my reservation included extra days which were paid for at the time of my reservation. Don't know how they calculated extra miles because I returned the truck with about 200 or so miles under what was allowed. I am currently trying to deal with U-Haul in getting refunded for excess charges this drop off site charged me? This site never discussed these charges with me at the time of dropping off the equipment and never authorized these charges? Not good!!!Glenn Y.
It seems that there was a scratch at the end of the unit and it didn't have a liability sticker. I missed taking pictures before leaving the lot. Customer representative didn't inform me that there was no drop off location in Nogales, AZ he even wrote a couple of addresses for me on the paperwork. No one accepted the auto transport in Nogales and I had to cancel my trip to Mexico. Very disappointed,LUIS V.

Your lack of ability to make reservations are lacking. When you make a reservation you make sure to have everything available for your customers. I have been with you for two years...walking into my storage area and finding homeless people inside and locking themselves in the bathrooms. After speaking to your staff nothing was done about it. You employes in fact just shrug their shoulders when I told him. When I paid for a storage unit, climate control and yet I walk in and its about 90 degrees. Is that temperature controlled? I have been a business owner for years and I have NEVER dealt with such unorganized people in my life. You as a company need to train your employees from completion of reservation, and completeness of contract. Lack of security in "locked storage" and your employees are showing a lack of business customer service. I will be sharing my thoughts about this and will never recommend you. I will not contact the storage unit as this is an issue with uhaul in itself. I wish you luck in staying in this business. Had an online reservation that got sold out from under me with no notice. When I made another reservation, it was for a 10x15 unit. Was notified day of the reservation (while my truck was en route) that all they had available was a 10x10. Staff was exceptionally rude and disrespectful, to the point of laughing at us over the phone. Manager was unrepentant and even threatened to cancel our reservation and contract when we contacted him. If we had another option, we would have gladly gone elsewhere, but we were already out 700 dollars on the truck and crew we hired. Very poor service. You have very friendly staff and then you have very unfriendly staff. One staff member will offer a special or discount for purchasing services and then another will deny such offers exist. The message is mixed and unprofessional. I would have kept renting my unit "empty" just to put excess stuff. There are never enough carts available. Motion sensors for lighting aren't positioned correctly. Time for lighting to stay on is too short. Lights keep going out when working in locker. Manager "Jenna" treats customers as if they are an inconvenience for her. She is also disrespectful to the other employees. ("Scolding" them in front of customers. Appearing irritated for when having to help them.) I have used Uhaul for moving and Storage for all my storage and moving needs and have never negative experiences like I've had here. Horrible customer service from the managers at this location. I was treated very poorly and they made me feel very uncomfortable the whole time i had a storage unit with them. They literally cut our visiting hours for no real good reason. I've had other storage units with uhual at other locations and had no issues being at my storage for long hours which i had 24 hours access at the other location. There were other customers at that downtown facility that would stay long hours and even sleep there too. I just feel the managers were profiling us. I've never done anything to them for how they treated us. Im writing this cuz other customers should know how bad this facility is. Staff at time of sign up wasn't very courteous and seemed very rushed. When asked about any specials he was very curt. So at time of move in we noticed information was not properly taken.
