I was charged extra money for extra miles but I couldn't pick up where I wanted to which added to my miles which I then had to pay for pretty unfair in my book

I was also told that with having for less time that I would get some type of refund and was also under the mileage amount. I would have reserved a pick-up vs the larger truck which caused my $30 rental to be a $52 rental when I'd reserved a van. Overall, great experienceâ€"I'd left an item an item in the cab which was held for me to pick-upâ€"much appreciated on that customer experience.

I went inside and there were 5 employees behind the desk 3 on computers and two standing behind them. I asked if someone could help me drop off my trailer and no one responded. Then a young man came in from the back and said, Can I help you. He was very helpful but as for the rest of them, not so much.

Waited in line for 15 mins when there was only 2 customers in front of me 3 employees behind the counter. My reservation was lost and I kept being sent to different locations. Didn't have the equipment I reserved because they didn't want that size truck to go out of town. I was forced to take other equipment. The employee created another reservation and I kept getting calls about both. I have to call customer service myself and cancel my reservation. Just a bad experience. I want a refund.

Customer service agent at this location was abrupt and stated, “your still welcome†as I was leaving. Drop off was a breeze and the agent at this time was friendly and had me on my way quickly.

The way that the trucks were parked, I had to enter through the passenger side and crawl over the seat to get to the driver's seat. The way the trucks were parked side by side, they were so close that I could not get in the driver's door.

Cynthia M.The UBox was ordered to be shipped to The UHaul store on Grant. We verified it in person last week at the Grant store. I also verified it by phone later and after 45 minutes and 4 transfers it was verified to be at Grant this morning. We got there only to be told by the same person we had previously talked with that the UBox was in downtown Tucson. We went to downtown to retrieve our property. Tucson UHaul and people there literally didn't give a dam they had made a mistake and we're not cordial. UHaul personnel in Denver were wonderful. Personnel in Tucson were completely unconcerned about making errors and the problems they caused buyers. Extremely unhappy with service here!
Joyce H.Start with honoring reservations that customers made at this location! I need to open a dispute resolution claim regarding the additional 20 days I was charged by this facility because I had to store my furniture and other personal belonging inside the truck I rented until I located an indoor controlled climate storage space large enough. This location never informed me that my indoor space had been rented until I arrived to return the truck and auto carrier trailer on April 15, 2022. I had pre-arranged and paid for moving help to meet me at this location to unload the truck, they arrived as scheduled but could not perform any work. When I approached one of the customer service representatives to start my return, I was informed that "I had no reservation for an indoor space here, nothing was available, and I need to call the customer service number for help". Having no other option, I called and was on hold for an extended period of time as usual. I was finally connected with a customer service representative, explained what had just taken place and I needed to unload the rental truck close to where I just moved to. She was only able to locate another U-Haul still open on Oracle Road, but it was an outside storage facility. I told her to notify them that I was leaving for their location to unload some of the items inside the truck. When we arrived, I signed a quick rental agreement for one small space, paid for the lock to lock the space and was given directions to the location in the back yard area. This location had recently experienced a fire to several units, which disabled the lights and trying to locate the unit in the dark was challenging to say the least. By the time we found the unit and was preparing to unload something from the truck, my two hours was used up. They unloaded one box from the truck, I locked the unit and did not return to this location to move out until May 2022. Why do I get charged an additional $545.76 for keeping the truck even after it was towed by mistake from the apartment complex I moved to in April 2022, when this is due to my space being given away without notice? Throughout this entire rental experience since arriving in Tucson, I have received nothing but unending frustrations with the management at this location? Provided me with no legitimate answers as to why this took place to begin with other than, "I get too much conflicting messages from the Corporate office about reservations, and we are told that reservations do not mean anything to U-Haul, they want all spaces available for rent to be rented". He said he tried to locate another U-Haul with indoor spaces available but was unable to find one because indoor storage is in high demand in Tucson. This location has received too much income from me on this initial rental and I think I should be refunded that amount for having to keep the truck to begin with! I have other issues with U-Haul that also pertain to this rental going back to my last couple of days in San Diego, CA where again conflicting information provided by the customer service telephone representatives resulted in my car not being loaded at one of your facilities, this time the reason was the manager did not want to be liable for any damage done to my car while it was being driven onto the auto carrier trailer.

The online check-in did not let me leave a record about the gas tank and I had to spend a long time waiting to speak to customer service on the phone. I honestly think U-haul is just looking to put high gas prices on their customers and not give them a full tank of gas.

William A.I was given a 118 mile allotment for my move. The distance between the pick up haul facility and my home address is 117 miles. How does that make any sense? I needed to drive my vehicle to where I was picking up my home goods, travel to my home address to offload, drive to a gas station, and then to the drop off. I will seriously consider other options next time.

I figured I'd be renting storage space for 3, maybe 4 months, max. Then, wham! My new rental deal fell apart, as the home owner moved her kids into the home. Suddenly, I was very happy that I moved stuff into storage, as I was moving in with family. The uhaul location was great as it was close to work, and easy to access off of I-10. The facility was absolutely clean. There were no creepy crawlies, no funky smells, no water damage to floors or walls that might give me pause as to whether or not my own stuff was at risk. It's been great! On the handful of times, I had a question about something, the staff were helpful. I appreciate good customer service. Now, almost two years to the day I put stuff in storage, I emptied the unit out. I'm a homeowner! ~ Thanks, UHaul!!!

I have been with you for two years...walking into my storage area and finding homeless people inside and locking themselves in the bathrooms. After speaking to your staff nothing was done about it. You employes in fact just shrug their shoulders when I told him. When I paid for a storage unit, climate control and yet I walk in and its about 90 degrees. Is that temperature controlled? I have been a business owner for years and I have NEVER dealt with such unorganized people in my life. You as a company need to train your employees from completion of reservation, and completeness of contract. Lack of security in "locked storage" and your employees are showing a lack of business customer service. I will be sharing my thoughts about this and will never recommend you. I will not contact the storage unit as this is an issue with uhaul in itself. I wish you luck in staying in this business. People are not in a way to deal with this stuff right now...Shameful.
SHEILA D. | Overall ExperienceHad an online reservation that got sold out from under me with no notice. When I made another reservation, it was for a 10x15 unit. Was notified day of the reservation (while my truck was en route) that all they had available was a 10x10. Staff was exceptionally rude and disrespectful, to the point of laughing at us over the phone. Manager was unrepentant and even threatened to cancel our reservation and contract when we contacted him. If we had another option, we would have gladly gone elsewhere, but we were already out 700 dollars on the truck and crew we hired. Very poor service. Uhaul has burned its bridges here and this is the last service I will ever hired from them again. Telling everyone I know the same.
