I was given the wrong access card and I access pin my Nyjah that did my supposed U-Haul trailer the return that was never checked in to begin with. Now I have an open return still even after customer service sent multiple messages to the U-Haul place and still nothing. Now to the moving in part while on the phone with Tanya who was the sweetest person in assisting since Ms. Tree the general manager at the U-Haul location and the after hours contact person is the GENERAL MANAGER who did not answer the phone I called, Tanya called, my husband called, and we texted since we were locked out and due to be back in Florida by Friday and we were unable to get in with our stuff in a U-Haul truck and no way to get into the facility. One of the people getting in let us go behind him and when we get to our storage room originally on the 2nd floor it was locked with their own lock with green tape. With an active reservation it was still locked and they never removed it so we called again and this time she was so annoyed that she turned her phone off and since we were on a recorded line Tanya was able to hear everything and so will whomever this complaint gets to. Tanya was able to find an open one without a lock and changing our entire location as well as sending an email tagging everyone including myself about the situation to hopefully get a resolve today. By far of the worst U-Haul experiences of my entire life and I love quite often as I'm a travel nurse and this was legit the most unprofessional and downright disrespectful and waste of my time and zero respect for the customer service aspect on behalf of everyone at that location. Tanya the customer service rep was the only person who even cared enough to try to help us one bit. Highly dissatisfied and disappointed and I would like to speak with the person above the GM at this location because she was definitely wrong for how she dismissed someone calling after hours left voicemail and messages to be ignored.Karina R. | First Impressions

The 24/7 pick-up option didn't work. I luckily went when the manager was there, but still had to go through all the normal rigmarole. If I'd gone earlier, I would have been stuck waiting and very upset. I had to get gas, (got a nice credit), because the manager didn't have a gas card and the truck had been brought in empty by the past renter. The hand truck I ordered was not available. Truck was fine, so overall, worked out, but wasn't the seamless experience it should have been.Lew L.

Worse experience ever !!! I will be filing a law suit against this facility and will take extreme measures to do so. This facility needs to be shut down!!!! There is no sense of security at all at this facility. This whole location is infested with homelessness and drug heads. There are people living in actually units and stay over night to break into units comfortably. Priceless items were stolen out of my unit without the locks even being broken, but by poor design of this facility. Anybody can just climb the wall of your unit and steal whatever they want with out no consequences. With or with out insurance there is somethings that can't be replaced and I feel u-haul is misleading customers with their false advertisement by stating that they provide a "secure" storage facility. This places provide no protection for customers items and actually make it easy for people to steal other people stuff. I feel like I was bamboozled, mislead, disrespected, robbed and throw to the side by having a storage at this facility. The employees at this location has even stated that their has been over 14 peoples units broken into just this past year and it's only July and that they made several request to upper management to upgrade the security at this location, but the owner does not seem to care. Sandra the manager doesn't even want to return no ones calls but just refer to the hotline or text her. There are no cameras, there is no type of over night security patrolling the area it's just a free for all here and I'm livid. I've already contacted my lawyer and will be continuing with my law suit full speed because as a business as big as uhaul there should be some minimum standard for customers safety and reinsurance that their property is some what protected.DAVID J. | Overall Experience

The unit was sold in auction after they agreed to let me do a settlement and move my stuff... drove 3 hours to go pick up my stuff and my car broke and ended up in a shop. Communication was made to management that I would be in to remove items as soon as car was out of shop. 1. Vehicle was not clean. Open water bottle in driver's side door and brownie crumbs in bottle holders. 2. Vehicle was parked nose-in in a very tight space. (Should have been backed into parking space.) 3. Starting fuel level was incorrect, hence we was charged for the difference. (I took a picture of our start and end fuel levels.) 4. We rented 6 blankets, but only received 5, hence we were charged for the missing blanket. Sadly we did not do a count before we left. 5. I had a quick pickup to do around town so I used the mobile option however when I arrived it wasn't that easy. I had to go inside to finish the setup with the manager and she was confused as to why the checkout process wasn't completing. After picking up the van I realized they never loaded the van with the dolly I rented. So I drove back to pick that up. (Which added unnecessary miles to my trip which I paid for). After dropping off the truck, 30 minutes later, I get another charge from U-Haul for $78.99 which was on top of the $110.86 I was already charged. I received my receipt and was only supposed to be charged $35.86. I understand there is a hold that will drop off my card in a couple business days but when I called the office and customer service they don't know where these charges came from and they didn't know for why those amounts. So now I am supposed to â€œwaitâ€ until Friday to see if they drop off. Meanwhile the card I used now is sent into overdraft because of the unexpected extra charges and it is $15 per day. So even if they drop off on Friday I am left with paying those charges regardless with the extra fees. Thanks U-Haul.Michael C.

Well the women in the office were very nice, but when I got the final bill I was charged for a QUARTER TANK of gas (as well as the gas service charge) because the tank was read incorrectly. This facility has a pleasant knowledgeable staff. The facility is easy to move around in and easy to memorize once you've made a couple trips back and forth to your unit. When we picked up the truck! I was a horrible drive. The truck sounded like it was going to fall apart! It needed a wheel alignment really bad which caused us to swerve the whole 4 days of driving. We reserved a pickup truck to use at 5 pm, we got there at 4:55pm and no one was there. We waited HALF AN HOUR and finally someone came back from lunch. Apparently, the guy that was supposed to be on shift just left. The girl that helped us was nice and accommodating, but the guy that had left literally left the door UNLOCKED while no one was in the office. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because when my first bill came I never received it, or a notification, or any knowledge of how to pay it. It wasn't until my bill was considered late that I received something telling me I now have a late charge. Other wise the facility was clean and well maintained, access to the building was made simple, and the staff was friendly enough to help with any questions when they would arise. The free month after a one-way rental was not grr but more expensive. The national office would not give me the free month near my move-in location. Nor would they let me turn in the truck at a convenient. Because of this, I paid an extra day for the truck. The Moving Help people have no accountability. I was routinely harassed by the manager and told that I was not allowed to spend more than a couple of hours in my unit and told that I could not come every day. I explained to her that I am 65 yrs. The 410 S. 2nd Street Uhaul Phoenix TEAM is GREAT! I would tell a friend about them and how friendly Dixie has been this year and the name of the other girl with glasses and dark hair whose name I have forgotten (sorry) who is considerate. Yes, I like this location but other Uhaul locations in AZ and my recent experiences with them NO I would never suggest but instead warn people to be aware of how poorly they treat their customers. We needed help moving during Covid-19 and with extra expenses and precautions in mind Uhaul turned out to be our storage and moving sheroes/heroes! Thank you so much!
