Shaina A. | Overall ExperienceI was very disappointed to find out that I was over my miles. I had no idea that I only had so many miles, I figured when I said I was going to Erie it would cover the miles I needed. That sucked in my opinion.

PENNY B.This was the WORST experience I have ever had with U-Haul. Nothing but endless problems since before I even picked up the Truck. I scheduled a 20 ft truck TWO MONTHS in advance to be picked up at 10:30am, they called me the NIGHT before and said they didn't have that truck, or ANY truck within a 100 mile radius. I had to be out of my apartment the next day, drive 10 hours, and start a job the following day. Then they finally found me a 15 ft truck. So I scheduled that. The next day when I was supposed to get the truck, they told me it wasn't there and rescheduled my pick up time, again. Then I got ANOTHER call saying they still didn't have it and they rescheduled it for a 3rd time.. so, I was supposed to pick it up at 10:30 and didn't get it until 2:30-3:00. Also keep in mind, I hired movers who also had to reschedule their day 3 different times because of U-Haul. That Is summing up my pick up experience. It was absolutely terrible and it will be the last time I use U-Haul. I'd honestly like a refund.
Michael D.Clean building and friendly staff. The gentlemen that was working at the time of the 12th st Erie location is awesome! I called and spoke to him and let him know that I was running a couple minutes behind and he said and waited for me which is extremely helpful and awesome!!!

Lisa L.I arrived on the lot to pick up the truck and was informed that they had no dolly or furniture pads available for the rental. This was never communicated prior to me picking up the truck. This location had to be reassigned as the original location (and any location within 200 miles) Did not have the size truck I needed according to a phone call from the corporate U-Haul dispatcher. After we picked up the truck from this location we discovered that several locations around town had the proper trucks that we had requested for our visit. We also had to visit additional locations to pick up dollies And furniture pads to complete our move.
Daniel M.We will never use uhaul again, called to cancel our reservation 3 days before we were moving, that we booked 2 months in advance. Downgraded us to a smaller truck and needed to drive more SUVs down.

Daniel R.The facility was clean, the local staff was friendly and helpful in the beginning, but several of us got stuck inside the building when the elevator got stuck on the 2nd floor, and the doors lock once you enter the stairs, so there wasn't a way or or back onto the storage floor. Customer service told us no one would come help us until the next morning?! We found an emergency exit that was unlocked and went out that way, but my storage unit was left open and unlocked because I was unable to get back onto the 2nd floor to close it up. I had to wait until staff showed up the next morning so I could get up to my floor from the stairs because the elevator is still broken. What started out to be a great experience quickly turned disastrous because all the customer help and emergency numbers and representatives were not willing to help us get in contact with anyone local that would help us get out of the building.

ERIN P.Not a function of the location's appeal, but the van I rented had a problem; which I am surprised had not been identified. The driver's side mirror was loose and folded down fully after hitting a few bumps while I was driving. I thus had to manually adjust the mirror every 10 or so minutes by extending my arm out of the window. Not the safest thing to do
DAVID G.Windshields should be clean. Fortunately I intentionally packed cleaning stuff on tail of truck. Also should get 2 keys I thought I locked the key in the truck but luckily I dropped it on the driveway I was one block from the U-Haul return at my property playing musical cars to get the truck in the driveway at two in the morning and I thought I locked it in the truck. That would be a serious problem on the road but fortunately it was not a problem
MARK L.I never received a receipt. When it was returned I was told it would take 10/15 to look over the van... of which I did not have rhe time to wait. Was then told that was ok.... they would email me a receipt. They never emailed me my receipt. Not happy about this!

Other than that an associate greeted me as I walked in to get the keys and then before I could put the truck in park an associate came out to check me out. Great service!
Wesley W.Bad experience online got booted off 3 times while dropping off trailer. Also put on hold for 30 minutes . Finally called 1800 and left it at the 12 st U-Haul. Not happy.
william D.Uhaul charged me twice when I should've been charged .79 cents per mile like advertised, I was charged an extra $54 which is ridiculous. Would not recommend UHAUL again because of their bullshit fees.
Anthony G.windshield wipers were broken, drivers door hard to shut, could not lock. I found out about wipers while on highway and could have been a dangerous situation. Staff is always friendly and efficient but the truck could use some maintenance.

He didn't make any mention of the 24 hr. thing, as I came during business hours and he happily, quickly, and efficiently checked the vehicle back in. If only the rest of the experience with Uhaul was as customer focused as the drop off location.

I was helped by Karon and Heather who were extremely nice!! one thing I will say is there aren't any security cameras (that i noticed) on the outside or inside of the storage unit part of the building. As a single young female who's storage units were in the back of the facility it made me a little worried but I made sure I had someone with me or went in the daytime. I would be sure to rent with them again!!
