Reserved 26 ft truck with furniture dolly, regular dolly a week in advance. When I picked up the truck, there were no dolly's available. Additionally, I rented from one location (online), then 2 days before my pick up, I was told that location didn't have the equipment, so I had to pick up from a location 20 miles away. At the same time we rented the truck, we also reserved movinghelp for 2 helpers from the uhaul website. After driving the truck to the location, the movinghelp people did not show up. So we returned the truck expecting a full refund. However, the manager (I'm assuming) gave us some compensation, however, because we drove the truck WE STILL HAD TO PAY MILEAGE AND GAS (of which we over paid because of being upset). It surprised us that the manager said that is all she could do because anymore than that she would be in trouble. She also said that she would not call movinghelp on our behalf because that's between us and them. Even after I told her I only hired them because I thought Uhaul endorsed them. In general, she was not willing to hear us out and cut us off if we said anything. Totally unexpected from Uhaul :(DENISE G.

The customer service team exceeded my expectations in every way possible. David is a stellar service member who stood out particularly. He left me feeling confident that my needs were taken care of, and that my car was properly loaded to be securely towed. This location is not conducive to pickup and drop off of equipment, logistically. It is too small and not laid out well for this task. Having the vehicle ready at the appointed time would be of benefit. Instead of standing around waiting. Charging .20 extra per mile just because it's a weekend is real great way of telling us customers you don't care about us at all. Only profits matter hereâ€¦ Lastly, in this age of technology and safety, how do you not have radios with apple play for navigation and backup cameras as standard equipment? I should think you want us customers to be and feel safer yet you've not deployed any of the available technology on your vehicles to help this. Not even automatic electric mirrors. I would not recommend ANY U-Haul for anyone EVER. Not worth the headache. We had a full size rental truck which was pulling a vehicle trailer. While driving, we got a flat on the vehicle trailer, which caused the tongue of the trailer to snap to the side. The vehicle straps malfunctioned and my car slid off the trailer into a semi, totaling my car. We had 24/7 UHaul assistance and they gave us so much back and forth, claimed they couldn't find us a tow truck, a hotel, etc. The first tow truck driver we called (after waiting 2 hours), said they work with UHaul all the time and UHaul hadn't contacted, was available to help. The truck still wasn't drivable because of the misaligned vehicle trailer it was towing, and UHaul did nothing from 10 PM until 5 AM. The entire situation was a nightmare, which was made so much worse due to UHaul's trailer malfunctioning, causing my car to be totaled, the lack of help from the 24/7 "support", and instead of ever hearing an apology or getting a dollar back, we were charged $65 for toll road fees when we never even went on a toll road. I would strongly encourage anyone to never use UHaul again. They're fine when everything goes according to plan, but if anything gets thrown off, they're the worst company I've EVER dealt with.Matthew K.

Van had warning light on (Tire Monitor) when it was received, no chance in the app to record this. When I returned it, the person who issued me the van checked it in and tried to charge me for dried paint inside van floor that was clearly there when it was issued. Again if the app is required to check out the van, it should give more options to put in any description. In general it should be U-Haul's job to manage their assets, not try to gouge customers because they don't check and document the vehicles in enough detail.Andrew C.

The young man, Jay, was extremely rude and unprofessional. He never even looked at me much less smiled. I stood in the line for quite some time although his window was free he never called me over so I ended up just walking up. When I questioned why he was taking pictures of my license, instead of explaining it he just angrily pointed at a sign on the wall. If I had any questions I had to pretty much pull the answers out of him. He was not informative or forthcoming about anything and it was clear by his demeanor that my presence was getting on his nerves. I will never use this location again and most likely I will never use U-Haul again. As far as the equipment is concerned the interior of the truck was extremely dusty and the vehicle was very fumy. The YouTube video didn't help with gaining access to the storage building because it did not explain I would need to enter the code twice. I had to enter the main building to ask for help. I paid online so I wouldn't need to go inside due to COVID precautions because no employee was wearing a mask. When I got to my storage unit. The sliding part of the lock was extremely hard to move. I called for help but by the time the employee made it to me. I had used my cellphone to get the lock to slide over to open the unit. Well, the employee that did show up acted like he was annoyed with helping me. He asked, if I paid my 1st months rent. I told him that I wouldn't have gotten access if I hadn't. I let him know it was difficult to open but I got it open but the lock was not inside like previously stated while signing up online. I asked the employee would he bring it to me. He said," I could come to the office when I was ready because he had customers and he was busy." I did not appreciate that comment because I am a paying customer too and I explained to him I had already been in the office for help with access with door and I didn't want to go back to the office for something that should have already have been placed inside my unit. Later on my sister needed to get a few more boxes. The young lady on the register did not know how to ring her up. She was asked 8 time what size boxes she had. My sister let the employees know that customers was poor here. The employee that was annoyed the first time we needed help stated, "I'm not sure why you feel that way because I've only dealt with yall one time." My sister explained his comments were not needed. I rate this experience as poor because no employee should tell a customer I'm busy helping other customers and what you need does not matter. I am a customer as well and have used uhaul for over 10 years. Also, staff members that aren't fully trained should not be in Customer Service as this is the face of the company and when they lack knowledge or lack customer service skills this is a poor experience for your customers. The storage unit area was infested with roaches at night, and the staff was rude and disinterested. My favorite was a young guy with curly hair who had no training or pride in his work. He couldn't print a receipt, and after having me wait for at least ten minutes while he did who knows what on his pc, he started to browse on his phone while I'm standing there.
