The staff went above and beyond to assist our family so we would not lose our belongings in our uhaul storage! They are very nice and caring and their customer service is excellent! The truck had a chip in the windshield directly in line of sight. The stench of cigarette smoke was horrible. Had to spray truck with odor eliminator 6 times and it still wreaked of smoke when I returned it. There were cigarette ashes everywhere in the truck. The passenger side mirror was bent, and the transmission stuck in low gear for extended periods of time after accelerrating. I flew 4 hours to rent this truck, that was prepaid, and the rental company did very little, to absolutely nothing to have the truck ready for me. If I had time to find another rental company, I would have refused this truck. Unfortunately I did not have the time to do this. This is not my first time renting from uhaul, but this is by far my worst rental experience ever! I would not recommend this location to anyone.Albert B.

When i had arrived, the website was misleading. It said that a 2 bedroom would be able to fit in the space, however that wasnt going to br the case. I needed a larger space. The man was help in regards to helping me fond a location that would accommodate my needs, but when i asked if he would accomodate me for the milage, (about 10 or 15 miles) since i had to drive 20 minutes away, and come back and drop my uhual off. I would definitely go over on milage. I had explained that i may have already went over because i hd to go to a different location to pick up. The person seemed not to care. I called the dayton traffic office who also didnt care and was really disrespectful to me... when i had went to the location in trotwood, the representative had offer to out a discount on my reservation. It wasnt until i returned the truck, (with a whopping 8 miles over, $3.40 was the mileage waved) so you mean to tell me i was given hell over asking for up to $5 of my mileage to be cover? I will be going with whoever else from now on and paying the extra money because uhual has no empathy towards their clients. The people who keep them in business.ANITA M.

The clerk needed more training and notification should have been sent to me about where the location of the unit was and how to get to it before 10:00 pm. It was never discussed that 34 hour access could be available to me for more money. There was a purchase of a prior Ihaul that I felt I was over charged and Field Manager couldn't determine why the Truck cost was the amount leaving one City to another City. He told me to contact the Manager where I had dropped the Out Of Town Rental at his location. The vehicle was filthy. There was some type of green liquid sitting in the change compartment, greasy finger prints was all inside the truck and there was some white stuff all over the seats. I didn't have time to go back in and stand in line because I was on a very short time frame! Some other things happened its just too much to type. Install automatic backup buzzers on all vehicles. I used the horn to alert people I was backing up. It's a universal item on all commercial vehicles and should be on all vehicles rented by your company. It's a safety issue.CHARLES P.

The facility was clean and our unit was ready as soon as I ordered it! I think there was some confusion at the location that day and I was given the wrong truck. It was the size I requested, but the mileage was incorrect and there was supposed to be half a tank of gas, but it was nearly empty. Also, it didn't smell like it had been cleaned since its previous rental. However, the staff was friendly and the truck worked fine, so overall it was a positive experience. It seems like they might need more staff at that location. They deserve the help!DREW R.

Truck itself was overall okay but the windshield wipers were AWFUL and I actually had to pull over and wait for rain to stop and then dry the windshield to be able to continue. Customer service was good...was just a real pain to deal with the wipers, costing me time.Brent H.

The a/c did not function. It would turn on and off but for about 90% of the drive it did not work. The truck had major dents on the hood and I was told by one of the people at uhaul that it was mechanically fine, but when I dropped the truck off that person said he was surprised they let this truck go out and he was going to take it out of service. Truck should not have been allowed out especially for long distance one way rental.Sung C.

Arrived for service on scheduled date, only to learn that the parts weren't in. Nobody bothered to tell us, so my husband took half a day off work to make it to the appointment. While there, the person behind the desk advised my husband that the hitch installation would take about an hour. We rescheduled for 2 days later. That day my husband arrived at his scheduled time of 9:30 am, and the work was not finished until about 1:30 pm, so 3 hours longer than we expected. Furthermore, they still didn't have all the parts! They took forever, showed little concern for customer's time, and didn't even have the right parts. Would never go to this U-Haul location again!Sarah M.

Terrible customer service. Returned my vehicle on time, but apparently the person checking it back in did not put it in the system correctly and Uhaul keeps trying to charge my credit card for it. They emailed a receipt that was supposedly mine, but it was the previous customers with my email address attached. I have a receipt with a whole different customer's phone number and address. No one is returning my call at the main office where I've rented the vehicle. I've spoken to a rep at a call center who advised they'd email the general manager and cc me on it, but no response as of yet. Just two messages from my credit card company advising uhaul keeps trying to withdrawal funds and their system showing I have not returned the vehicle. Terrible.Anthony S.

Pickup and Drop-Off Locations were great. Staff was efficient and polite. My big problem was that the AC in the truck only worked for the first 3 1/2 hours of my 6 hour drive. It was VERY HOT today and with no AC my experience was not good. I walked in to 3 people behind the counter. One was talking to a coo about a situation, the other 2 were just sitting behind the desk conversing. Everyone knew I was there and no one said a word. I waited there for about 10 mins before the guy talking to the cop was done and he then called me over. After that he was just about getting me in and out. I'm just used to the Trotwood location where the guy who used to work at the Salem/and Gettysburg location works at now. I've dealt with him over 7 times and each and every time I was hit with his strong customer service skill. He really makes you feel appreciated. For that reason I'll always try to stay in Trotwood location if I need a rental.Djuan P.

When I was trying to get a 15â€ truck I was told three different times that I would have a truck at this location or that location and I called that location and even went inside of a location. And all three times they didn't even have my truck after me being told they did three times. Because of this I had to push my moving date back a day further than supposed to. Which on top of having to spend $2,200 for the uhaul, the one I was driving the seal on the windows were bad so for 12 hours any time it rained I got drenched even with windows up. Me my dogs and the few things I had in the cab. Then when it was time to drop off, they gentlemen that gave me the keys set my location to be dropped off 2 and a half hours away from me!! And was trying to charge me and additional $100 for â€œdropping off at a different locationâ€ luckily that was at least figured out.HUNTER S.

We moved our stuff out after watching several guys walk up to the glass sliding bay door, bang the glass a couple times and the doors open, did not need a code. Then these guys with rolling baskets leaving the storage area with odds and ends. They are getting into the storage doors, using what looks like a room stick from the ceiling and poking holes in each unit to peek inside and see if there is anything worth stealing, then they get into the units and take what they want. We watched them leave. Our unit had a hole. We complained, but didn't receive a phone call back. When the new glass doors was installed they should have been tested for flaws. I am chosing to get my items out of storage because there is a serious rodent problem. Many of my personal items were damaged and/or soiled with mice urine and feces. I chose to throw out many of my items that held sentimental and monetary value and it was terrible to clean up the mess that was made in my unit. The old elevator doors sometimes hopped off their track, and the double door system meant that you were competing with other people who forgot to close it on a different floor. The security scanner sometimes didn't work on my building, and I had to use the other one. No way of knowing without asking. No mice presence for 2 years, until the very end (maybe the trap got old?)
