I was double charged even though I returned on time, the sales lady told me when I went in if I was turning my truck in to park it and leave it unlocked with the keys in it but then they check it in late and double charge, I'll be getting a refund or contacting corporate

Donna J.U-Haul broke down 15 minutes after getting it. Engine wouldn't turn on. By the time a towing company came (4 hours later) we were on a time constraint emergency and needed to source out other vehicles â€" it was a nightmare. Also, we pulled out the oil on the dip stick and there was hardly anything on it and it was tar black.. clearly they don't check the oil before providing to new customers. Horrible. And, I was still charged for everything… so I need to contact and get a refund for the u-haul and Dolly rental.

Jessica F.Most of the staff was friendly but no one could quickly resolve the issue. They told me that, because they were a UHaul franchise, my booking the storage facility on line didn't integrate with their systems. Therefore, I had to upgrade to a larger unit at a higher cost. The exact unit size I ordered was NOT available even though I reserved it months ago. Very frustrating and this will lead me to look to other storage options.

Linda C.When returning the truck, I sat in it for about 15 minutes waiting for a staff member to check me in. Since I was using my phone while waiting, staff believed I was checking in by phone. I was not. Finally I exited the vehicle. A staff member called for someone to help me. And Nathen courteously checked me out and told me my final bill in about 3 minutes. Overall, from check in to check out things went very well. Good experience.
Timothy J.I was upset that when I got in the truck the gas was lower than what was showing on the paperwork. Was told we could click link on text message to report it! We clicked the link and said we didn't even have a truck! Which we clearly were in the truck! I took pics when we first got in the truck and when we were getting out to drop off the truck! I replaced the gas in the truck and was still charged $14.25 for gas! Yes not much at all! But I am a DM of a business! I know we should help the customers, especially the honest ones! They didn't even want to see the pics with the mikes and gas gauge! As they stated was an estimate! So I wanted to let them know the link didn't work and the info was wrong! Not that I needed my $14 back! Maybe work on the customer service part and then make sure you are not over charging everyone that comes there! I will not come back to uhaul! For those 2 reasons!
Christopher B.I did the online check in and it took forever to get my info approved when I have gone to other uhauls before and it never takes that long. The truck I rented the steering was going out when driving during my rental which was scary and the tank was almost empty when they gave it to me. Also when returning the truck I had issues trying to return through the online aspect that I have never had issues before.

I walked inside. 3 people working all talking to one customer. I said can someone check me in. Was yelled at they had a customer. I said I'm a customer to now check me in Was told to leave if I didnt like it. I refused and said no u check me in.. finally guy came out was rude and checked me in. If i hadnt waited i would have been charged more than i actually owed. Total crap customer service.
DENVER J.Pickup went smooth but returning the truck was a nightmare. There were multiple trucks waiting to pull in and the employees were in no rush to get people off the streets. The systems were down and I know that was the reason for all of the chaos. I understand things happen and that wasn't an issue. We were charged a different rate than what we were initially told and didn't find that out until we left since the systems were down. We called and they said they would look into it and call us back but we never heard back. It was only $10 more but we just wanted some clarity which we didn't receive.

I finally was able to leave my credit card info and take my keys after a couple hours to get the wiring problem fixed on a hitch I had installed with you all. Disgruntled and overworked employees and no leadership around. Apparently the GM was working on a broken elevator at a different location. Horrible experience and even worse service. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
ASHLEY A.The Autotransport was in good condition, exept the tie-down strap on the passenger side. It was all twisted and some what rusted. I had a very hard time opening it. I called the location I rented from they offered me to return and they would help. I was 50miles away, so i declined but ask them to pls check them straps before ren6ing the equipment. Other then that Teresa Coleman was very nice she gets a 5 star rating .

Markina L.Called at 6:54 pm just before close, was put on a "brief hold". They never picked up again. When we arrived less than 10 minutes after close, we were not granted access to storage. We came from out of town with a U-Haul truck and needed to unload as the truck was due by 9am the next morning. We had to either get a hotel or drive all the way back to Cincinnati. Not answering the phone and making arrangements cost over $200. I have been a U-Haul customer for years, but I'm very disappointed with this experience. Won't use this Dayton location again.
Lindsey M.We were originally assigned a blocked in and nonworking vehicle. They remedy the situation quickly. But check what you're assigning first. It was miserable and rainy, being on the lit the extra time really sucked.

You should keep your original rates not keep increasing them up every month.

I understand that rodents are a problem in a storage facility but the smell of their urine should be a problem that should be addressed. I don't want 6 months from now if I move out my furniture to smell like urine.

The uhaul located at 1340 EThird St in Daytime n , Oh was by far the worst as far as the employees, manager was rude and unprofessional, when I rented a truck to empty out my storage unit that's when I discovered all my property was ruined and mildewed and moldy but they closed so had to take it and called the next morning to get screamed at by a manager when asked what. Should do and how to note everything before trying cl rental was due co.the facility and storage areas was filthy. There was blood in the restrooms, i let them know but because they were closing for the day it wasn't a priority. There was people living inside and walking around like they owned it and helped me more than the employees. I would never refere how do you spell referring her rooma friend at this location. I would also never tell anybody ne my experience there either . I just hope things change for the better of n the future .

It was never discussed that 34 hour access could be available to me for more money. There was a purchase of a prior Ihaul that I felt I was over charged and Field Manager couldn't determine why the Truck cost was the amount leaving one City to another City. He told me to contact the Manager where I had dropped the Out Of Town Rental at his location. I was over charged for being late on a payment due to my Debit Card was destroyed by the Bank that my automatic payments were being processed for my unit on Burkhart Road in Dayton, Ohio.
