Truck would not start after we got loaded. I had to put a battery charger on truck for 12 hours before it would crank. Then it died again. They trying to charge me almost $198.00 for fucking what? Post poor equipment. I will never use uhaul again!!!!!!

I called when I left the location with the issues that I had because the location was closing and had three other customers when I was there. The gas level was not correct , it had a gas cap alert in dashboard that would not go out and one other light. The truck ate gas probably because of a vacuum leak due to gas cap. He did not charge me for the hurricane because we could not use the truck. The other fees I did not agree with I went to Murphy before coming back snd filled to just above where it was when I got it. He charged me gas because it did not matter that I called. Just unhappy with the over charge for gas and fee

1. We arrived at our location to find no one had loaded the furniture dolly. I called and was met with a very friendly, apologetic employee who immediately offered to refund the cost of the dolly. Though we appreciate this, the absence of the dolly caused us a tremendous burden when moving heavy items. 2. The next day, we received our final bill, with the dolly charge. So, call number two to the rental location. Again, sweet employee promising to refund and email an updated payment receipt. 3. Next day, still no updated receipt. On hold, currently for over 15 min waiting to speak to someone about this. I think you can see that this is extremely frustrating.

Take cc to truck. Make sure the cx knows where the wipers, lights and breaks are. Show cx how much gas is in tank and the mileage so will know exactly how much will be owed when truck is returned.

They told me the only one way trailers were down for lights and the other had a nail in the tire. But it looked ok. Somehow i got charged 192 dollars to rent a trailer for a day. The guy said the only way i could rent it was to pay for 3 days. This has been awful. I rented the biggest truck ryder had to move my daughter from chatt to knox for 145. I was in a time crunch and didnt expect uhaul to charge me 192 for a trailer.

The truck I got was infested with roaches and it was very much confusion with getting the truck. I reserved a 20 ft truck a MONTH in advance and when I went to pick it up I was stuck with a 26 ft huge uhaul. And like I said before it was infested with roaches and now I have to bomb my new apartment because of that. Thanks uhaul

The gentleman was trying to help the best he could but it seems the contract was a mess from the get go. We were supposed to get out 100. Deposit back and that didnt happen. He said it will be mailed, we will see. After this experience, it wont suprise me if it doesn't come.

Tire Monitoring System light was on and would not shut off even after all tires were checked for proper inflation. Also, the driver's door would not shut completely unless you pushed it from the outside.

I sent the following email to the GM of this location: Dear Sir, My husband and I had both good and bad experiences with your staff yesterday, Thursday Sept.3, 2020. We had no issues with picking up the truck and both agents were nice. However, upon returning the truck, some 3 1/2 hours later, we arrived to an empty office. We called out repeatedly saying "hello? Anyone here?" for a full 10 minutes, both inside and outside the store. I checked the restroom, but the door indicated it was "vacant". Finally, a young man appears (He was not the same young man from earlier in the day) barely looking up from his cell phone and says "sorry, I was in the bathroom." We tell him we are returning a truck and give him the key. He walks out to the truck and proceeds to text on his phone for over 7-8 minutes. It was so bad that I walked down the steps, to the truck and asked if there was a problem. He says no problem and says we are good and that I would get my receipt via email. You would think this was the end, but no...it got worse. After your guy moved the truck forward, I'm trying to back my car out and turn around in your parking lot, but before I could clear the small trailer next to me, he puts the truck into reverse and comes within inches of hitting the back end of my car. I had to lay on the horn to get his attention and to stop the truck! My husband had to get out and tell the guy to pull forward so that I could get my car out. You know how tight your lot is and how difficult it can be to move vehicles, but this guy needs lessons and he needs to get the heck off the cell phone! Watch the video! I am very dissatisfied with the service I received from him and I suggest you reconsider his future with U-haul.

I had reserved an appliance dolly when I made my online reservation. I found out when I arrived they didn't have one available. It would be better for the online system to not let you select it if they are all already rented out.

When I got 10 miles down the road to pick up my merchandise, the loading person noticed a big piece of tread missing from one of the tires. Called back to the pickup location and could not get an answer after several attempts, finally realized I could call roadside assistance. .

Mileage charges dramatically increase pricing and not everyone realizes it . Also the location always seems busy with not enough employees so there is a wait for pretty much everything. Overall a decent experience - employees were helpful and pleasant although overworked.

I had two problems with this experience: Firstly, it rained and my possessions were quite wet. Then after calling me the morning of the unloading, to tell me they would be an hour late, the unloaders (Shockley's Movers) never showed up, forcing me and my wife to unload the truck ourselves. I am 72, and she is 65, and has metal rods in her back. I am assuming that Uhaul will refund the money we paid for unloading.

You could improve by not allowing customers or employees to smoke in vehicles the pickup truck that I rented smelled bad of smoke and this isn't the first time that this has happened to me second hand smoke is dangerous

I was told when I rented this truck that because I was going over 150 miles that my gas mileage would drop down to $.39 per mile. However,?on the morning I picked up the truck they told me that the gas mileage would be $.89 per mile. I think if you tell someone that the gas mileage is going to be $.39 that is what you should charge them! Therefore, I ended up paying way more money that I had budgeted for. I think this is very unfair to your customers!

Went to take truck back and the representative that was supposed to check truck In proceeded to try and purchase a lawnmower from a storage unit. He finally purchased the push mower, brought it in through office and into back room where he started it up to make sure it worked. He was supposed to be checking in my truck and another customers truck. This location has the poorest customer service I have ever witnessed. If I was in management I would fire everyone there. There was no leadership there. One employee even had his girlfriend there with him.

I feel that I was taken advantage of as far as the pricing of the truck I rented. For a $29.95 dollar truck used less than 4 hours I ended up paying over $100.00 PLUS the truck was given to me with no gas in it; the gas light on and I had to go put gas in it. The nearest gas station was not in the direction of where I was going so that added extra miles to my mileage. I am definitely going toto tell anyone that I know of when looking for a truck to move go all other routes they can before considering U-Haul.

We originally had our drop off at at at different uhaul location in Danville....its on the contract..but was difficult to find with navigation even..tried 3 times looking for it...no big sign?? The store said its hard to find because they have no trucks in the parking lot???So we ended up calling the Riverside Uhaul and they were Excellent! Should of went with them in the beginning...The staff at Riverside said it happens all the time with the other Uhaul store(455 Cross Rd) this should get looked into. -That was the only stress we had..The truck ran great..she was a good girl 😊

Overall I'm pretty disappointed in uhaul and would be inclined to seek out a competitor next time. I had a hard time finding the trucks I wanted and actually had reserved a truck and got a call the day before my move that there was no truck for me. And the uhaul employee (a woman) was both unhelpful and borderline rude when I called about the situation. So I wound up completely having to change my move date which was a huge problem. Then my pick up location didn't have the moving blankets and dolly I'd reserved through the website and there were no locations nearby that wouldn't have added considerable time to my move. I'm definitely not excited to use uhaul in the future. It seems like the uhaul system doesn't know what is actually available at each location in terms of trucks and other equipment.

Each of the three guys I dealt with at this location were very courteous and professional, especially the gentleman I spoke with on the phone on 7/15 at 4:47pm, and the one that handled getting me the keys and all on Thursday. They went above and beyond your typical friendly customer service encounter and have ensured I will only go to that location should I ever need to rent a truck again.

Facilities are not set up for moving. There is no ramp to be able to push your stuff up to get it up on the dock. You have to lift everything over a huge concrete wall. The lack of parking is absolutely ridiculous. UHaul trucks are packed in the parking lot like sardines. It is almost impossible to get a truck and trailer in the parking and be able to turn it around and leave when you are done. The front of the cement wall where you load and unload your stuff is slippery in front of the drain and is nasty with all of the trash sitting there in the water. Huge safety issue. We ended up leaving and going to another storage unit because we had to wait so long to back up to the dock to unload our things. UHaul really needs to find a better location within the city of Danville for the storage units. One where there is a ramp and you don't have to lift your furniture over a huge cement wall and there is plenty of space for the trucks to be parked and then for your customers to still be able to access the storage units.
