Need more staff and directions followed. There is a definite lack of communication about procedures for storage units. Rental agreement and text I received stated a lock would be provided and left in the unit and this was not done. Front desk person had to call his supervisor even after I showed him the text. Also your system did not update the drop off location to notify receiving facility of our arrival
SANDRA KClean windshields inside and out on a periodic basis. Mine was filthy. Otherwise, everything was great. Check-in went exceptionally well. The clerk took time to explain everything to me.
WILLIAM JThe tail lights of the trailer didn’t work, the whole thing had an electrical problem because it didn’t work when plugged in. The guy who gave it to me didn’t bother giving me another one, who knows if they even had another trailer like that, and even said “I won’t say anything” as if I was in some sort of trouble for taking a damaged product when I had no other choice.
CARLIE WIt shouldn't take so long to refund the deposit kept We kept the trailer less than 18hrs and should've been given a refund immediately not have to wait several days for it. Just like when u buy an item at a store and return it, it's credited can't my debit or credit card immediately not days later.

I had a great UhAul experience overall and reasonable for what we needed it for!! Highly satisfied

JONATHAN RThe location seemed like it was overloaded with product on the inside and outside. The parking lot was confusing as to where to park my personal vehicle, while I waited to check in the truck. The space for equipment was limited, but I was able to secure a spot. I believe that the space outside needs to be expanded to safely navigate the vehicles and the parking needs to be clearly marked. The agent who assisted me was wonderful.

The Danville VA location is great and the 3 employees mentioned in my comments are great. So these people and this location get 5 stars from me.
BENNIE CI reserved an appliance dolly and they let the customers in front of me without a reservation get it and when I got to the counter they didn't have anymore. They also told me AFTER they closed out my bill that i could have saved money.by upgrading my equipment because I was trading out a smaller truck for a larger one but then told me they couldnt give me the discount because they had already closed out the previous order and that they couldn't apply the discount to the new order. Also I drive an hour to pick up a uhaul van a few days ago and I chose the electronic check in only to arrive and be unable to check in because your app was unable to recognize and scan my virginia license

WILLIAM EEven though you may remove your items completely before the month is completed you will not receive a pro rated refund from UHaul so they may double dip. You have already paid for the month but now have found a home for you to belongings and can move them out early, UHaul gives you no money back and another person can assume your rental paying UHaul for the full month so they have your money plus the new patron coming in. A rip off I will never store with UHaul again. Travis at this specific location was a big help to this old 74 year old woman trying to move a pedestal queen size frame and mattress. He was quite the gentleman and very very respectful. Very pleased to have met him! He even helped back my truck to the loading dock for me.

JOSEPH PEnsure rental accessories such as a dolly is the truck. Employees actually leave notes when you call about issues. Ensure that the receipts are capable of being enlarged for view. Ensure rental locations are open as such on the website.

MICHAEL GThe van stunk so strongly like barn animals that it was giving me a headache. But what's even worse is that I was told I was being charged $143 when I picked the van up, and even though I was under the miles I told them I would be using, I filled the gas up past where they said to fill it. And I returned the van before the time I had agreed to return it at, I was then charged $169 the next day. Absolute bullshit. Will not ever be renting from U-Haul again.

ALICE MI called corporate and filed a complaint. First cargo van had been wrecked and not fixed properly. I returned that one and got another one that was disgustingly dirty....... When I returned the van, the manager wasn't happy that I didn't answer his calls that I had no clue he even called. Zero apology either for what I went through.... I'm hoping to hear back from corporate to continue my complaint.

Rick BAvoid hidden charges and allowing your employees to indiscriminately charging a customer's Credit Cards without their knowledge. I noticed that my Credit card was stored in U-Hall system and extra charges have been made without my knowledge. Kindly refund unauthorized additional fees. Thanks.

alan lStaff seemed to be very lazy and not eager to help..when I first walked in to return my truck, it smelled like marijauna and the guy had his feet kicked up on the counter on his phone looking high…I was told I needed to put gas in my truck (which I understand) so I went to sheetz. My truck broke down at Sheetz when I was filling up the tank, I tried calling Riverside U-Haul with no pickup. Eventually got in touch and he said "you have to call roadside assistance" I felt that that was an easy way for him to not work and fix the issue but he didn't offer any additional help for me…The truck finally cranked and I drove it again and then it broke down again at Mr tire. (Keep in mind this is basically right across the road from the U-Haul)…I walked across the street and told them it broke down again across the street. They still said call someone with no effort to help and still on his phone. At this point I'm ticked, so I go back and crank the truck barely and it makes it to the parking lot smoking and cuts off. At this point I'm hoping the truck is ruined because of the lack of customer service offered…They came out opened the back and said we need to charge a cleaning fee(which I understand as well) Maybe it being dirty made them get off their butt and actually work. Needless to say, there was no efforts to supply good customer service. I'm not a picky person but when I walk in somewhere, doesn't matter where, I don't want to see baggie pants/underwear, smell marijauana and or be offered little to no help on something I don't even own…I don't expect compensation nor do I expect a phone call, I've wasted enough of my day being frustrated, I just won't use Riverside ever again. Some training on customer service and an evaluation of appearances and professionalism needs to happen there….but then again it is Danville.

columbus wI'm concerned about the possibility of rodent problems. My unit has Opening in the floor, and Box as you walk in. Is the unit completed? It appears that there is no walls installed. I'm familiar with UHaul in Bronx NY. All units had walls/sheet rock.

When I called customer service, I was transferred to the GM's VOICE MAIL. So not only was I not able to move my items into the storage unit, I had to put more miles on the rental truck, at a cost of like $2?? a mile, and spend two more hours unloading everything I had spent two hours loading into the truck. On top of this U-HAUL CHARGED ME TWICE. I spent HOURS on the phone with various customer service people, to no avail. My money is being held hostage because this company will not release the hold they have on the SECOND charge. It is 2 days later and I have yet to have a phone call returned from the facility. So, I am out $500 for renting a truck that had less than one hundred miles put on it and my house is full of all the items I couldn't place in the storage unit. I'm a LITTLE upset. Thanks for coming to my TED talk on what awful customer service looks like!

They then told me to go to unit 25, which was also full of furniture. I was then assigned a smaller unit. When we got thereit had a lock on it. Then lock was remover and we were able to move in. The smaller unit barely held the things I had to store. I resllg needed the 8x8. And, with all of the moving around, I hadbyonpay for an extra hour for the helpers.

I didn't have any control of what happened to me and been on my death bed for months and to survive and overcome this just to have all my belongings sold. My memories of dead family members priceless can't be replaced I might as well died to loose the memories of my dead child,mother, grandma. I'm hurt.

I was not notified by email nor phone call that a leak had occurred in my specific units! The manager Darren Bennett even acknowledged that he was aware of the leak and failed to notify me. This is unacceptable to come back from serving your country and I had no furniture to furnish my house with!!!
Tiffany W | Overall ExperienceThe only entrance I was shown was on a old loading dock for semi trucks, the U-Haul trucks are several feet lower than the dock so every thing has to be lifted up to get it into the building. The small area is normally filled with so many U-Haul trucks that you can't get in or out easily with a regular truck let alone try to pull a trailer in and out.

Storage rooms are also far away from the entrance so if you have a lot of things to store, it'll take forever to put it away. Ended up going to the storage facility across the street, process took 5 mins.
