Corporate was the worst. Long wait time to speak to personnel. No feedback what-so-everon on-line chat attempt. Pick up location was far away from closer locations from my home. Received wrong e-mail message night before pick up that unit requested was not available but actually was when I arrived at the location. Drop off site was not the closest location to my residence. Employee Thomas Bigelow tried to charge my father and I for moving blankets that we didn't use, nor ordered, upon return of the rental. When we told him we shouldn't be charged for an add-on we didn't use or order he become remarkably arrogant and his excuse was that the "green ties/tags" were removed from the blanket bag and that it was our responsibility to have notified him upon rental that these "green ties" were removed, so he'd still be charging us for them. How the hell are we supposed to know about "green ties" if we're never made aware of them or even know such a safeguard system existed? What kind of mind numbing logic is that? When we pushed back on his SCAM, he claimed there were signs displayed on the truck and blankets, which, SHOCKINGLY(heeeeeaaavy sarcasm here), such signage was NOWHERE on the truck, in the truck or on the equipment. He only eventually decided to refund us out of fear of winning a free ambulance ride for his poor attempt at pulling one over on my father and I. Why did it have to get to that point? How many other customers has he done this to? Is the importance of customer service just completely absent from UHAUL's training? A UHAUL employee drops the ball by not replacing these supposed green ties from likely a previous renter, so WE, the new customers, have to pay for it? We've made sure our family, friends, neighbors and coworkers heard about this "experience" and implored them to use UHAUL competitors. What a shame I couldn't give zero stars. This survey just reminded me to leave some real nice feedback on Google, Yelp, Facebook, etc.Ryan R.

No improvement necessary at all. Five-star treatment in Coram! I arrived at the Coram location after my original reservation was unexpectedly cancelled by an independent provider in the area. I was a little anxious from having such a poor experience initially, but greeted by Tom Bigelow behind the desk in Coram, I suddenly felt reassured. From that moment, my experience with customer service was exemplary. When I returned the van two days later, Tom once again provided a high level of customer care and I would definitely recommend the Coram location above others in the area. The people with whom I interacted at the pickup location were professional, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you have some rating or point system by which you judge the person who helped me, he deserves 10/10, and I can confidently say that he's the best U-HAUL employee with whom I've dealt after multiple interactions over two decades. Thank you for an accessible and affordable option, on very short notice, in order for me to accomplish very important transports of my family's property. *Also, if I may... your employees at this location clearly distinguished themselves, quite positively, from the very RUDE and completely UNPROFESSIONAL local rental options available to me otherwise. Guy at pickup says time not a factor. Return anytime before closing. Afternoon return guy says your late. Morning guy twice said he'd add moving blankets because I paid by the dozen. Only six in. Had to ask another guy for them twice after first guy said he'd take care of it. Guy at pickup took hand truck out so I wasn't charged for it. (You break the seal and you pay.) Luckily I took photos of him removing it cause afternoon guy didn't believe me and would've charged me. Truck served its purpose but be on your toes if you use them.John F.

The UHAUL representative was very helpful! The unit was cleaned when he walked me to it (not his fault) and when he couldn't find another clean unit, he cleaned it himself. Previous customer, to my truck rental, left his wallet in a dashboard slot. No one in the staff discovered this. Later in the day, calls were made to my home phone number looking for the wallet, EVEN THOUGH I had left my cell phone number with the morning manager when I took the truck out. Charged me the completely wrong amount. When I received the contract it stated the wrong miles. They said they would fix it but nothing. When I returned the vehicle they charged me for miles I didn't even use.Franco C.
The online check in process seemed easy but I arrived to the unit after closing. It took a while to figure out how to get into the building as I was trying to access the slide doors when Afterhours the manual entry door is the only point of access. It would have been nice to know that. Also, once I got in there was a locked padlock on my door so I couldn't get into the unit anyway. That was very poor. When I tried explaining that to the rep the next morning he wasn't understanding what I was saying even though there is no clearer way to say there was a locked padlock on my storage unit and I couldn't get in. The inside cab of the truck was spotless.t the outside great,the men who ran the place were very helpful........but when i opened the back door to load.. it smell like fish!!! Who ever used it before must have used it to haul some kind of seafood! imagine my disgust when i had to spray my mattress and a area rug when fabreeze to get rid of the smell.It really ruined my experience Dont know i could recommend..Peter C.

I returned my trailer within the 2 day default option. I saw on my receipt from the drop off location that they charged me for an extra 2 days. I picked up the trailer on Monday 12/14 and returned the trailer Tuesday 12/15. When i dropped off the trailer, they said I was good to go. Now I see an extra charge in my account. What a fucking scam. I'd never recommend anyone to this location. Uhaul should be ashamed that they have employees that operate on this caliberHarrison W.

I'm saying that , there are some days when the facility is short staffed and the wait in the office is a little long. Still my overall experience was great. Been a client for many years there was water damage in unit that I was never notified of so I lost a few things , thanks , when I closed out I asked if there was a partial refund for the month and was told I was already out of the system and the person who closed me out said they didn't know . These guys were top-notch, hands down. Aaron helped me out in the morning after the app screwed up my reservation (corporate needs to look into that, cmon guys). You could tell Aaron knew the place inside and out. He was super nice, quick and got me in and out with the truck I needed and had an awesome attitude the whole time. Then the gentleman at night of whom I worked with to get a larger storage space and turn my truck in could not have been more pleasant or helpful. I wish folks I dealt with at my workplace were this good at what they did. I'll use the Coram office anytime I move my stuff in the future, and will recommend to friends and family.
