The storage facility itself was good. The staff were helpful when we first moved in. A week before we were moving our stuff out, we had driven from our house (40 mins away) to the unit to find out the elevator was broken and the stuff we needed to put in wouldn’t fit in the stairwell. A few days later, we needed to book movers for our move out and the Uhaul representative on the phone assured me the elevator would be working because it would be a week from then (surely it wouldn’t take more than a week to fix the elevator!! And surely if it wasn’t fixed, we’d be told so we could plan accordingly!!) Well guess what? It didn’t happen. After we paid $300 for our movers...expecting it to take a certain amount of time based on the time it took us to move in WITH the elevator...it took the FULL time for the movers to move everything down the stairs and they couldn’t complete the job. They had another appointment after us so they couldn’t help us unload at our house. If we had been aware of the elevator being out of service, we wouldn’t have spent $300 on movers! Thanks for the awesome communication, Uhaul.

my rating is based on the fact that there are no rooms available on the street level and the elevator was not working, which means i'd have to carry my storage items up 2 flights of stairs. i have a heart condition and cannot do this. i am interested in renting a 5x5 room however, if it can't be on the first floor, the elevator must be working. hopefully, the elevator will be fixed this week, as i need to rent a storage room by month end.

I was scheduled to pick up my truck through my phone.I was not able to and I had to wait until they opened at 9 AM.When I asked the clerk why was my truck not ready,she responded " Pick up through the phone is not guaranteed ,we did not have a truck ready"...and then I had to go around your garage to find the truck...Bad service

The truck when parked in the dark parking garage appeared to be clean the interior was actually pretty dirty, especially in the cup holders. The truck also has a very bad vibration on the highway coming from the steering wheel. The front end alignment was pretty far off too, having to hold the wheel about 45* to keep the truck driving straight. I pity the person who has to drive that truck cross country.

Customer service that went above and beyond. As miserable as the day was to move(raining hard all day), the owner and her staff, made us so at ease with making decisions on what we needed as well as keeping us informed of our options. She was so very kind!! We kept saying how much of a great difference in moving this was compared to others when using U-haul. Honestly, couldn't be happier with the service, equipment, and storage!! Thank you all so much!!

I am very sorry, but I cannot remember the name of the girl that helped me at the counter. Even the girl on the phone also. BOTH of them were incredibly helpful and polite, as there was an issue being my license was expired, and couldn't get a new one until November 5th because of COVID. They figured everything out for me and were extremely helpful in finding a solution. The day of my rental, the girl at the counter was fantastic. Laid out all the info, explained the rental and just was an overall pleasure to deal with. Even when I dropped the truck back, there was only one guy at the "return", and he made sure things went smooth. I think too many people write reviews to bitch and moan about bullshit. Well, I want to write this and make it clear that this place was Fantastic! Everyone there was on point and seemed like working at U Haul was the best damn thing that ever happened to them. People need to compliment more, help each other, show a positive attitude-and that all happened at this U Haul. 5 Stars all around and they should all get a raise, even in this COVID nonsense.

Make it clear that if you simply return a trailer after hours, which they encouraged, then you will be CHARGED for returning the equipment early in the morning. An after hours fee! Really!!

I had a 9.30 am sunday reservation. There was 1 clerk doing checkout and about 10 persons waiting to be ckecked. It took 1 hour for me to get my rental. In my opinion this is bad service.

It’s my 3rd time using this store. I booked a 20ft truck and reserved a 10x10 unit on the 1st floor before I left. I received confirmation that the unit on the first floor was available. When I went to get into the truck the person told me it was in the “garage” so I went looking for it, after several minutes of walking I was not able to find it because it wasn’t there, it was in the other side of the building so you can understand I was a little frustrated. After a long day of moving, my help and I arrived back to unload and place everything in the unit I had made the reservation in the 1st floor, we started unloading and bringing about 2 trips inside just to find out that the unit was still occupied!!!!! Horrible! I went back inside and the woman said it happens often, well it’s unacceptable! We had to load everything back and drive to the side of the building to store in the 2nd floor. I was livid and so my was help, extremely disappointed at the lack of communication and customer service.

hello Friends, all my experiences and work with Trucks UHaul have been very good until today in the morning, I have a small company and I serve important customers in essential services, and when it is necessary to move furniture or a small change, sometimes I turn to Uhall, but the Truck that was made available to me was a shame of dirt, a lot of dust and an unbearable odor in the cabin, the Truck was so dirty that my client asked to cover the furniture so as not to get dirty, maybe the last person using the TT 3233 did not clean it from a Probable removal of Dry Wall, but this cannot go unnoticed by the U-Hall's on-board team, if the vehicle is available, expect it to be at least clean, I also didn't understand why after the return I was discounted + 104 $? I believe I made + Miles than the initial 20, and used the dolly + 7 $, but where is the 104 in total? if the gasoline I put at least 12 more than the Odometer brand ..., please I need an explanation by email. I was told it was .99 per mile. I was charged 1.19 per mile. I said it was a 24 hr rental. They have it for 4 hours. Ther was no charge for the amount of time. I asked at the second location if another location had the truck closer to me but they didn't know to advise unlike the first location. Anyways, the people were super friendly, and nice. The service was fast and everything went smooth. Just rated it lower than excellent due to getting bit overcharged. The service and experience was good. The next time I will have to rent closer to me. The first location did not have any trucks at the first location. The service was great and the return was super fast and simple. I Will definitely consider UHAUL next time I have to move anything. Thanks!

You can make the process to return after hours way more seamless - I had NO idea where to leave the truck, there was very little internet access in that location - providing free wifi would be good so closing out can go smoothly. You also need WAY better signage of where to drop the key - it doesn't even say anything like "Leave your key here!!" - I would have had NO idea if it was not for another person who was in the parking lot!!

This was one of the best Uhaul the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Very trustworthy they went above and beyond to meet my needs. The manager has friendly kind attitude he never made me feel that he was unapproachable. the location for the return of the keys was poorly marked and without light, we had to look with the flashlight of the cell phone, where to return the keys, if there was a light with presence sensor it would already help by 50%, and signal where to return the keys of the Truck. Thank you so much

The overnight drop box is a little slit in the wall close to the lockbox area under the 24 hour advertisement. The drop box needs to be more clearly marked. It took myself and another customer almost 30 minutes searching for it. The only way we found it was by looking up previous reviews. That was the only issue, otherwise everything was great. Please fix that drop box area it's ridiculous for such a large establishment.

apparently, someone at the pick up location messed up my reservations and checked the equipment in two minutes i picked it up. So when i dropped it off in Margate FL, I had to wait 35 minutes for the agent to fix the problem. Since i was not able to wait any longer,the agent suggest i leave and wait for them to let me know if any issues. It looks as if the pick up location in Bradenton has operational issues to resolve. .

A week later Samir and Walter are running scams on customers! I had the truck for 3.5 hours and drove less than 5 miles, now a week later I'm getting charged for a side step that I was told had to be done when I rented the truck! I have contacted my lawyer and my bank.

The girl at the desk barely understood anything. She proceeded to give me a 2nd floor unit after being told the elevator was broken for 5e 2nd floor. She was a deer in headlights how that wouldn’t work. She finally moved me to 3rd floor (she had no idea where it was on a map.) we then got stuck in the broken elevator while holding a couch. Called the emergency button in the elevator and it went to a uhaul recording (is that legal?) It was like a hidden camera prank show, and the employees low IQ is a Corp liability

We rented a truck and were offered free 1 month storage. The storage unit provided was on the 3rd floor and the furthest away from the elevator. Other units were available on the first, second floor and closer to the elevators. This distance added to our moving time making us incur in more expenses as we needed to rent the truck extra days.

Elevator at the facility was broken!! With no warning or notice by front desk staff!!! What if I had planned on loading furniture into my storage unit the day I got the keys to my 2nd floor unit?! Outrageous. Also, it took us over 30 minutes to locate our unit as the key card was not working. I understand they aren’t doing unit showings due to COVID but the front desk lady did a horrible job at explaining where the unit was and how to access it. She told us only how to access it from the elevator (WHICH WAS BROKEN) and said nothing about stairs. We were drenched in sweat running around the building trying every single door. Only for her to finally explained after 30 minutes of getting lost that we have to use the stairs (and no key card is needed?!?!) since the elevator is broken. Such a waste of time. I pray that the elevator is not broken next weekend when I move my things into my storage unit. After this experience, I will not rent here again. For the price I paid, I expected much better.

Upon arrival to return the truck, I mentioned to the attendant that I wanted to rent a storage unit and that I needed to unload before returning the truck. She proceeded to tell me to return the truck first, only to have the other employee tell to go get the unit first. One she was done helping another customer I explained I need the unit first. I had to repeat the size of the unit I needed 3 times. She finally gave me the entry Card with no map, unloaded my truck headed to the unit only to find out it was a handicap unit. I had to return to her once again and told her she had given me the wrong unit. Her reaction was apologetic at all. Got back on the computer and gave me the unit furthest away from the elevation and not once apologize for giving the wrong unit on purpose. I have been to uhaul mover 10 times and this is by far the worse service I’ve had at uhaul. Jimena Chumbe should be retrained. My customers receipt number is 7880-28-102331-109616. Due to lack of professionalism I wasted 1 hour going back and forth dealing my return by an hour. The rest of the staff was great.

I rented a truck on 06/10 at 06:00pm to deliver on the same day around 11:00pm. Nobody told me that the storage would be closed at 10pm. I was told all the time that it would be 24h for me. I arrived on 06/10 at night with the truck totally loaded and for my surprise, my access was denied and I couldn't get in the building. I called the customer service but the lady couldn't do anything. I had to come back to my house with the truck. On the other day, 06/11, I went to the Uhaul Store (Coconut Creek, Johnsons Rd, FL) @ 7am and I told them about the inconvenient that I had and I would pay only one day of rent because I couldn't unload the truck due to a Uhaul's fault. An attendant called Jimena agreed with that. On the 06/11 I went to the uhaul storage to unload the truck around 06pm. Same msg appeared on the device's screen next to the door: "ACCESS DENIED" as soon as I put my code. I ran to the office and told them about that same message that was also appearing on the day before. The attendant said: "You should swipe your card" and I said: "Nobody gave me a card" and the attendant was surprised. He went to the office and brought back a card and said" Use this card". I started unloading the truck and around 06:50pm I swiped the card and the same msg appeared: "ACCESS DENIED" I ran to the office again while they were locking the door. They were very rude, saying that the system was already closed and they didn't know if they could do something about. I found a customer, an old man, and he told me that there is a main device that we need to swipe the card first and it worked. The Uhaul's attendants were very unprepared. I told them that it was my first time and even this way they didn't instruct me properly and/or they didn't know about their own internal process. For my new surprise, when I was returning the truck by the website: www.uhaul.com/share, I was charged for both days instead of one as the attendant Jimena agreed to do I really really really do not recommend the Uhaul Storage of Coconut Creek and I would like you guys to proceed with only one day of rent. Also, just to let you guys know, I rented an space of 10x15" for around 3 months but I wont do that in the future with Uhaul Coconut Creek (Johnsons Road).

The attendant was new and did not know how to answer calls. I kept on buzzing for help and he did not know how to help me. No one knew how to open a lien lock that was placed by mistake.

When the 24/7 access system is down, management needs a backup plan for folks who have paid for AND signed a contract for such access. I.e. pay an employee to stay on-site after hours until fixed.

I said YES regarding staff friendly but it is not completely truth. All the employees are very nice with a exception of a white woman with a estrange name. She is very nasty and impolite.

Billed me $127 for turning in my tow dolly late, which was incorrect. Had to be later refunded to me. Then sent me an email regarding a storage unit bill, which I never rented (still ongoing).
