The QR code process to return equipment is extremely difficult. I had all settings correct from last time I used. It still would not find location. The app was no different. Experience here was stellar although a few spots had opportunity for improvement. The truck was clean and seemingly well-maintained, but the sun visor "catch" was broken by a previous customer. It swung around when I turned and often created scary issues with field of view while turning an already awkward vehicle. Secondly, I put quite close to the exact estimate for miles on the vehicle and refilled the tank to half way per the rental agreement, yet I was still charged for 2 gallons of gas. Why? I'm not sure what this charge was for, but it's not cool. Otherwise, everything was smooth and easy.CHRISTINLAVONN H.

Give a better estimate on the time it will take. I was told â€œseveral hoursâ€ so I ubered home, only to get a call 30 minutes later that the car was ready. The ubers cost me $40 round trip. Moving help is ripoff pocket. Few years back I hired people for my move, and I got 100% professional service. But this time, I got below average service. They are supposed to show up at 7:30 in the morning per provider company. Around 8 am they called me and told me that they are in an accident and couldn't come to load / unload stuff. I headed to my local uhaul to check if I get any labor for my move. Meanwhile, the service company again called me and told me that they are sending other people. According to this 'new people' accident was a lie. Finally they showed up around 10:30 am. I took $3000 safeload insurance for my move. Couches ripped off every corner. Claimed $2000 for couches. Need to see how soon uhaul/movinghelp reimburse me for the damage. For this kind of poor service, I don't need spend $750 to hire people(2 people for 4 hours to load/unload , that too to move 2-bed apartment to a single family, 2 miles distance ), there are lot of people outside waiting for work in my local 7Eleven , where I can hire paying $15 per hour. Don't spend money at uhaul to hire people. I STRONGLY suggest go with your â€˜ local' people. I didn't expected this kind of poor service from uhaul. Truck rental is very smooth though. But when uhaul allowing third parties on their website to provide service , they also need to assume partial responsibility, since , they also make money from these third party companies. I rate My overall experience as â€˜bad' for this moving.Sri Y.

Hire more people like Bobby, who fixed the trailer electrical hook-up in my car, and the young man (whose name I didn't get) who hooked up my trailer and then handled my return. We have Moved both our kids these past couple of weeks. In order to get them all the furniture they needed, we needed to rent a cargo van. We were very pleased at how comfortable the cargo van is as well as how easy it is to use and drive. The people at the front desk are always very nice and helpful. I wouldn't recommend uHaul in general. You in essence false advertise. You advertise $19.99 for rental of a pickup, plus 0.80 cents for every mile. You gave me a truck that was practically on empty, I drove 13 miles total, and for some reason my bill ended up being $106? What a total scam.TIMOTHYKENNETH S.

Great and seamless experience with the u-haul truck drop-off and the storage facility. The representative was super helpful, and the key card access is really convenient. I don't need or want climate control or access to the building carting my things through a maze… However, it wasn't too bad but had I known it was all indoor units, I probably would have went somewhere else. Uhaul should of told us up front about when you close your unit you don't prorate the rent. We lost 3 weeks of payment. The lines at the counter was always long because there was only 1 person working the register and phone at the same time. I moved out of units 2130 and 2149 on May 12. When the movers were packing me out I went to the office to inform the staff member of my move out. I was told to return later that day when the movers were done and someone would do a walk thru with me. I returned a few hours later and was greeted by a different staff member who did not do a walk thru and told me they would take care of closing out my contracts. Turns out 2130 was closed. 2149 remained open despite the fact I checked the following the day and was told both units were closed. I was charged $143 on May 13 and charged $143 on June 12th. I've been trying over a week now to get refunds and spoke to the General Manager, Richard who said he'd take care of it. He closed 2149 on or around June 14 but only processed a refund for the June charge. The May charge has still not been refunded. I'm very dissatisfied with this situation. Why the first person I spoke to (when I wanted to check out) told me a walk thru was necessary but the second person who was supposed to but did not tells me the staff at the Chantilly location do not follow their own procedures and the result is the situation I'm in. We rented a "drive-up" unit because we have some large and heavy items to store and wanted to drop them out of the truck and directly into the storage unit. We arrived late in the evening only to find that your version of "drive-up is a loading dock. The unit you gave us was at the furthest point away from the loading dock which made it extremely difficult and time consuming to move our items from the truck to the unit. We also found out that the large sliding doors at the dock are locked at 7:00 P.M. which will make moving items after 7:00 P.M. very difficult. Luckily we ran into "Ryan" who stayed after his shift to allow us access to the sliding doors. Major kudo's to Ryan, he was very courteous and understands customer service.
