Make sure when customers come to pick up truck reserved thru the app to be ready, We went there and 1st the truck was not available, the 2nd truck was behind other truck and there was no key to move blocking truck, finally we got a 3rd truck. which didn't have furniture dolly requested on the u-haul app.YAIDEL V.

Only one person working with many people in line at pick up. A cargo van was full of shattered glass in the back of the cargo area. So then we had to wait again for that to be cleaned out. Drop off was a nightmare there were so many vehicles dropping off at the same time and one poor kid didn't even have a uniform shirt on so I didn't even know he worked there was trying to get a trailer out with all of the returns in the way. You should be ashamed. Rude employees, no manager to talk to. The parking lot was so bad you couldn't move through it. Total chaos. Nobody to help us when we arrived for 20 minutes. I waited 15 minutes to get my rental when I was in the store. 4 different employees walked by me without even asking if I needed help. I understand they may not been able to check me in, but couldn't at least have paged someone? And then I got into my rentalâ€¦it was very clean but it was so filthy on the outside I wanted to write â€œwash meâ€ in the dirt. I also waited 15 minutes to return my vehicle. I even checked inside and no employees were even in the store. Finally someone came. That employee did everything well but never even greeted me or asked if there were any issues with the vehicle. This used to be a great store. The more expansions you do, the worse the service. I know it is hard to get employees but my times in the store were in the middle of the day. First the air conditioning in the truck that I rented that was almost a 1,000 blew hot and cold air mostly hot air. It would blow cold air and then back to hot air. 19 hours of this almost 1400 miles. The air worked fine when I picked the truck up but when I left for Chicago the next morning it was blowing hot air. It blew hot air for almost 400 miles before it started to blow cool air but it didn't last long before it went back to blowing hot airCALVIN T.

When our Ubox arrived, it looked like it had been picked up and dropped without any care. The steel frame and bearings around the bottom are all warped, the latches that kept the door shut looked like it was hammered shut and I watched as they had to be pried open by the 3rd party moving company, and all of our boxes and things were in shambles and crushed. The Maui location did a great job but when it arrived in Fort Myers I called to set up a drop off gave them the address and new phone but the phone was never updated and the address was misspelled. So on the delivery date I received an email telling me it would come between 1-5 and it never came. I kept calling and was put on hold for long wait times and every time I called I had to explain the whole story over again and every person told me something different. Every time we needed to get something off of our box (only twice in 11 months) the box was never ready even though I called ahead at least 24 hours. The boxes arrived and were picked up on time but I had to call a number of times to have it switched from delivery to Naples FL (which has no storage facility) to Fort Myers. Once in Fort Myers there was no climate control as when we opened the boxes there was an issue with mold and one piece of furniture had the finish raised implying extreme heat. When they came to pick up the boxes for return, the truck "broke down" and they came the following day. We were allegedly given a "priority" for pick up the following day but the priority was approximately 7:30 pm. Run do not walk from this location.Robin R.

The unit had mechanical issues with the tyranny and or drive shaft. When I brought it to the attention of the attendant upon return he didn't seem to care. I would have let someone else know earlier but after 4 calls and being on hold for over a total of 1 1/2 hrs with no one picking up it became pointless. We had an awful experience and I'm still waiting to hear back from Jon Gilmore. Our Ubox got damaged and we had to spend an entire day traveling to GR to unload and reload it into a Uhaul van. We paid hundreds in gas and were charged for the uhaul when we were told we wouldn't be. We even had to go to a second location because they didn't have a van when we arrived. Honestly what a mess ! Got a storage online went to go see it and wow. Theres barely anywhere to drive through to access the unit theres wooden crates, trucks, trailer everything absolutely everywhere blocking any potential access to making it easy and nice. The poor staff... there was only two of them working and just completely overwhelmed with the amount of customers they have to wait on. They both did a great job and both very very very nice but they need help two people for this location is in no way working. I rented and moved out the same day because the whole place is so chaotic. Great staff but you might loose them if this is how they have to work everyday. The people working there were very friendly and fast. The only thing that we were unhappy about was that we didn't know that the storage unit was inside of a building, down 2 halls, and had no air condition. So, we were not prepared for the experience of trying to put everything into the unit. My husband almost had a heartattack. Also, They didn't really explain how much could fit in the unit and ours was way to small which made it more difficult. For instance, when I asked one man how to get to my storage unit when the only apparent way was clearly blocked by parked cubes, he said "How the ... do I know?" The facility and employees were very nice but the set-up of the facility is HORRIBLE. Access to many of the units is through one small corridor that you have to drive into and one end was completely blocked off with storage pods so you can not leave without turning around three-point-turn style. If people are unloading, you are limited in your ability to do a turn-around and whatever you do DO NOT DRIVE A TOW-BEHIND trailer into the area unless you feel confident that you can back it up around cars and storage pods because there is no other way to get out.ALISON D. | First Impressions

The woman I worked with was funny and nice but she didn't give me enough information like how to disarm the storage unit. I set the alarm off 5 times trying to figure out how to disarm. Which was highly frustrating especially when the alarm is a screeching noise. I had to run through the facility back and forth wondering why it kept ringing. And I still do not know how I turned of the alarm. The only issue was trying to load everything on the last day - as there is such limited space and there were several of the boxes on each side and another individual taking up much of one side trying to either load or unload that it was almost impossible to maneuver. The same time there were several semis trying to unload and tempers were flying from various customers. We had our items stored from GA and it was there for 6 months until I finally offloaded in FL. The only negative I found is that the place is too small and compact. The facility and people were nice. However, your sales team is not fully trained on promotions OR your promotions are misleading. Advertising Free Storage after renting a trailer was wonderful idea. However it should have said Storage UNIT! Trying to clear this up lead me to 140 minutes on hold on the phone talking to four different people until my charge was refunded. Taking over two hours ion hold is unacceptable. But I thank you for refunding our storage fee at U-haul corporate. Also, although we had a reservation number, the facility said they had no reservation. Had to beg for a spot. How can this be? You take a reservation , no problem. But you can't HOLD the reservation. The good: The lady that cleans is nice, friendly & does a great job!! The guy that checked us out & the worker that was there were great!! The bad (which definitely outweighs the good): When reserving the U-haul truck, close to a month before going, we were told we could have a storage unit for 1 month free (other places offer this, but, because we got the truck @ U-haul, we decided to go with this one for the convenience & hoped that everything would be like we have had experience with other places we have rented storage with in past. So, we requested a 10 X 20 unit on first floor & told U-haul that we did not want or need a climate controlled unit. Was told did not have 10 X 20 available, but, U-haul would give us 2 10 X10 units beside each other. Really did not want that, but had to have, so took. When got there Oct. 12, 2020, the lady that checked us in (helped us, but, not really friendly), told us we were on third floor with climate control--again, did not want, but, had to have, so took because we were already there with a 26' U-haul truck, another truck full & car full, so had to take--too tired & probably too late to get storage unit somewhere else this late & today anywhere else!! Elevator was WAY TOO SLOW & being on third floor, around the corner, & half-way down hall, made the unpacking TERRIBLY slow--really unhappy about this, but, had to do it. Called U-haul (the 1-800 #) a day or two after all of this & explained situation to the representative, Mary, that we did not get what we wanted at all & felt like a lot of things were wrong & was put on hold while Mary "reached out" to a Manager. When Mary returned, we were told a Manager will get back with us. We are still waiting!!!!!!!...Phillip K. | Overall Experience

The covered area over the entrance to the storage facility was very helpful, especially unloading a truck on a rainy day. One area you could improve, the parking lot and access roads were very crowded with trucks and trailers which makes it challenging to drive a truck around your facility.James R. | First Impressions

My reservation was lost and the young man checking me in was not trained well in what he was being asked to do. After going through the reservation process a week earlier I had to do it again and the attendant had trouble typing and asked me the same questions over and over again. The computeR system seemed clumsy to use and attendant couldn't type very well. I was very frustrated from this circumstance. Then we were not given very good instructions on which card reader you use at the entrance to the facility. Ther are four card readers to use yet only one will work and there was nothing that helped you understand which one to use. It seems to me that the individual filling out the paperwork should take you to the storage room to make sure that all is workding correctly. The whole heck in process was laborious, time consuming and wrought with errors.david e. | First Impressions
The staff really doesnt seem to care about their rental people i went into the office after i filled my recently rented unit to ask a question nonbig deal when i entered my emoloyees in the office all with mask on of course many talking amung themselves two cuustomers looking together in the back of the office not being helped and my self I said hello through my mask and not one person looked up the door makes noise and only one of the two work so that door is known when open. i left because again my question could wait but just NO customer care.JUAN M. | First Impressions
