the extra $30 I was charged for gas replacement on top of the $20 I had already put in was a bit of a piss take to be honest. There was only one pin per container to hold the ramp. So far, otherwise, things went pretty smoothly. The drivers were a full hour early picking up the crates, which made trouble for them, as I had not yet moved my neighbors' cars out of their way, but that didn't slow them don at all. Danny, at the main location, was quite helpful and knowledgeable. I was disconcerted that there was no place on the website to record which of the two crates I had filled, but it turned out not to be a problem. I look forward to receiving my crate in a couple of weeks.Christa P.

So, after booking a 26ft trailer two weeks in advance and getting cancelled three days in before a move and tight timeframe, thankfully Lorna from the Storage King location was so kind to help us out and give us some tips. I get that people extend their rental, which is what we did Saturday morning to be met with scare tactics and a severely upset employee from Canyon County location. Corporate UHaul is great with customer service but there really should be someone who does quality control checks on independent stores. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had !! I was suppose to lic up my truck at 11 and one hour before they called and said I couldn't pick it up until 3 ! Meanwhile I had hired help waiting at my hiuse charging me by the hour ! The man had no compassion and said he was the boss there and didn't care at all that it was costing me labor hours of three men to sit while they searched for a truck for me ! Then , after I broke down and started crying he found a truck 40 miles away , so I had my son take me up and get the truck ! It was the most unprofessional awful experience of my life ! I have used u haul many times but never again ! When I get unpacked I'm going to blas out what happened on Yelp and write the bbb to let them know of the rude behavior and awful business practices they displayed .i want a refund for my labor hours that were wasted while we drove all over LA looking for a truck and I made this reservation a month agoElizabeth M.

We utilized the U-Box moving option shipping a (2) bedroom Apartment load from LA to Detroit. A coordinated job well done by U-haul locations in LA and Rochester Hills, MI. U-haul contacts were professional and courteous. The scheduled delivery and pick-up dates were realistic and right on time as originally indicated in our contract. U-box contents were delivered undamaged. No dollar extras charged for the rental. Both locations earned the 5 star rating. Only suggestion would be to call customer at least (2) hours ahead of delivery and pick-up times. Would utilize U-haul again if another move situation like this comes again. Tom.thomas M.

Everything was good until I arrived to drop off. I arrived at 4:50 and my drop off time was 4:45. When I arrived a trailer was being hooked up for rental so I waited my turn and when the rep from uhaul walked over he sarcastically said: â€œlast minute huh?â€ And from the point on had a shit attitude.ERIC T.

The check in process took a long time. I walked into the building at 9:45 and didn't drive out until 10:15. There were only three people ahead of me, but by the time I checked out, the line was out the door. They definitely need more help at this location for busier times. Also would suggest having someone other than the front desk people to assist customers with supplies and questions.Krystal E.

After reserving a truck , when I went to pick up, they did not have any trucks. I had no choice but to get another truck from another location, costing twice the amount originally quoted. I filed an objection and I will demand that charge be adjusted.I expect company rep to contact me.MANUEL R.

I was unhappy when I originally rented the truck to use from Acton, CA and was willing to pay $1.19 a mile only to be called and told that I would have to rent the truck from Palmdale another 20 miles away each way. I wound up going to Canyon Country as the truck was too small so it worked out ok. But lot of stress to get thereVICTORIA T.

We always use U-Haul for all our moving needs and let our family and friends know the ease of it online. I really think U-Haul has a unique advantage over all others. For the first time, we used the recommended movers.com to help us. Much to our dismay, the movers in AZ cancelled at 11:00AM. We were charged and additional $140.00 for the last minute replacement. As a company, they are not up to the same standards that U-Haul has. Even though it was their mistake, they made us pay for it. Our hands were tied since we were on a tight schedule. I hear that you are not associated with them, just thought you might want to know about our experience with the first mover group, especially since they didn't show up, we can't put that experience on their website I am told. We have always enjoyed U-Haul and the 26 foot truck was totally awesome, a great drive and a great deal! Thanks to U-Haul for always being there for us and the extremely fair pricing! Absolutely the worst moving experience possible. I do not recommend UBox for people with homes or furniture and electronics of value. Uhaul denies all damage claims. When you provide your credit card you agree to all charges, which means Uhaul will apply charges you did not agree to without your approval. I have been overcharged by $12,000. I filed a BBB complaint spent hours on the phone, and am still waiting for resolution from this branch. Stay away!!!Shaunna C.

Manager was rude. Gas at the beginning was a little bit over half a tank. When I returned the truck with the same amount of gas, I was told that needed more gas and charge me 22 dollars extra. Be carful with this place. Take your own picture at for the gas you get or they will try to rip you uff.JOSE A.

Check in and out was easy and quick. Impressed with cleanliness and quality of truck. Only peeve I might have, not sure you can do anything about. I followed all directions on registration, uploaded my driver's license and was all set for a clean and easy check-in. However, had to wait in line while the people in front of me who had reserved a vehicle online had to be walked thru each step because they didn't bother with completing their own online registrations.ANNETTE J.
This is a very bad service. We took a car in the city of Santa Clarita to move to another city. Distance 200 miles. The manager told us that we have to pay for 400 miles and return the car back to the city of Santa Clarita. It was very uncomfortable for us. We didn't have to go back to the city of Santa Clarita. The manager said that this is a company politician. We were forced to pay a hundred times more than necessary and still returned back to the city of Santa Clarita to return the car. It was very inconvenient and difficult and expensive. We will no longer use the services of this company.OLEG G.

One container was delivered with a NON working latch, hanging by one screw into split plywood - absolutely useless and NOT secure. I had to call in twice (once they told me they would call me back, but never did). Once I reported the damaged container, there was NO APOLOGY. They never answer their phones at the canyon country location and it can be very inconvenient to get simple questions answered. Everything fine.....except I lost my key to my lock (that was in the unit when I rented it).....Uhaul did not have a record of the key so i could obtain a duplicate. Therefore i had to call a locksmith for $100. It will teach me to not misplace my key. It would be nice if Uhaul could always keep a duplicate of their clients keys. The young man behind the desk was cheerful, but the facility was woefully understaffed during Christmas week. When I returned my rental truck to this location, the gas gauge was the same as when I rented the truck in Redding. The employee said the computer reported the gas level low and hit me with a $20 gas charge.. It is a real shame that U-Haul would, trade customer loyalty for $20, but that was you decision.
