Manager was rude. Gas at the beginning was a little bit over half a tank. When I returned the truck with the same amount of gas, I was told that needed more gas and charge me 22 dollars extra. Also Uhaul's online truck pickup and return process is too long and complex. Check in and out was easy and quick. Impressed with cleanliness and quality of truck. Only peeve I might have, not sure you can do anything about. I followed all directions on registration, uploaded my driver's license and was all set for a clean and easy check-in. However, had to wait in line while the people in front of me who had reserved a vehicle online had to be walked thru each step because they didn't bother with completing their own online registrations.ANNETTE J.
This is a very bad service. We took a car in the city of Santa Clarita to move to another city. Distance 200 miles. The manager told us that we have to pay for 400 miles and return the car back to the city of Santa Clarita. It was very uncomfortable for us. We didn't have to go back to the city of Santa Clarita. The manager said that this is a company politician. We were forced to pay a hundred times more than necessary and still returned back to the city of Santa Clarita to return the car. It was very inconvenient and difficult and expensive. We will no longer use the services of this company.OLEG G.

The gas cap was broken. We could not fill up we had to stop by uhaul and get it fixed it slowed us down by 30 mins with our move... It was annoying.. Second time something stupid happened the first time the battey was dead (rental 2 months ago) i had to worry about it ALL dayMONICA M.

One container was delivered with a NON working latch, hanging by one screw into split plywood - absolutely useless and NOT secure. I had to call in twice (once they told me they would call me back, but never did). Once I reported the damaged container, there was NO APOLOGY. I have rented equipment from Uhaul for many years now and the equipment has always done it's job. Uhaul apparently has made some changes since I last used them, none of it is really a big deal and certainly wouldn't warrant a complaint except for dropping the equipment off after hours. Apparently if you decide to drop the equipment off during non business hours you need to log on to a website and check the equipment in or you get charged a $20 service for failing to do so.KRIKOR S.

Federico has helped me for years. He's one of the best and deserves recognition. Only thing I feel he can work on as a leader, is having his facility available. They never answer their phones at the canyon country location and it can be very inconvenient to get simple questions answered. This is the usual location I access for rentals. It's always very clean and welcoming. Although it's a busy site, the staff are friendly welcoming and I appreciate they're able to joke and Be very personable. This visit was no exception. This was not the drop off location. Drop off location on contract was MM service at 4804 Redwood Dr Taylorsville Ut 84123. When I attempted to return the truck the manager refused to take the truck saying he didn't have room in his half empty lot. He sent me to another location despite my objections. When I got to the second location at 4690s 4000w west valley Ut. Their lot was totally full. The manager sent me to a third location at Advanced self storage at 3320 S Redwood rd West valley UT. The manager was professional and accepted the truck despite the fact he also had no room. I have never been treated so badly as a customer then I was treated trying to return the truck. U-haul did not honor it's own contract. I was forced to miss work because I was forced to spend the afternoon trying to return the truck. This actually doesn't have anything to do with the location, but the process to rent a trailer is terribly inefficient. I'm asked to scan my driver's license in every time, and every time my browser blocks this scan request so it has to be manually done. Same thing happened when my friend rented from you. We rent trailers all the time, seems like you could just have my info saved in the database? I appreciate the guys hooking the trailer up for me, but don't understand the trailer verification part. It seems like they hook it up and we should be good to go, but instead we usually sit there for 3-5 minutes until someone inside blesses the hookup from afar. Or whatever they are doing, it just seems unnecessary. Bottom line - equipment is great, price is great, rental process takes way too long.Ryan C.

My original drop off location was a 24/7 in Freedom, Ca I believe it was Anbar self storage but there was no 24hr access to the facility to drop off a trailer. There was a night drop for keys to a truck but I was not going to drop a trailer on the street even though I was advised to by your 24hr call center. Which by the way took more than 45 minutes to answer our call. I tried calling the facility and left 2 messages but never even received a call back the next day from that facility. I lost 3 hours on my return trip because of this. I spent 2 hours trying to return the trailer and another hour driving back home dragging an empty trailer.Scott L.

Everything fine.....except I lost my key to my lock (that was in the unit when I rented it).....Uhaul did not have a record of the key so i could obtain a duplicate. Therefore i had to call a locksmith for $100. It will teach me to not misplace my key. It would be nice if Uhaul could always keep a duplicate of their clients keys. I had reserved a van in advance. When I arrived there were six people standing in line and only one person processing arrivals. I had to stand for 35 minutes. The young man behind the desk was cheerful, but the facility was woefully understaffed during Christmas week. When I returned my rental truck to this location, the gas gauge was the same as when I rented the truck in Redding. The employee said the computer reported the gas level low and hit me with a $20 gas charge.. It is a real shame that U-Haul would, trade customer loyalty for $20, but that was you decision.
