I am a 67 y.o. life long U Haul customer who has rented U Haul trailers and trucks dozens of times. Never have I been more disappointed. After spending 4 hour loading the roll down door spring is broken and will not shut. Even after I got the trailer back to them for a new non-defective trailer they would not assist in unloading the full defective trailer and re-loading the new trailer. Overall horrible experience.HUGH D.

Everything was fine the truck was the size I needed to get my move done. My one complaint which is not Uhauls fault it was difficult for 5 foot me to get and out of the truck. Once I was in it drove like a dream. Which go back when I need a moving truck again.NANCY B.

I don't know that I would recommend now. I have used this location 4 times and Richard has been the only member of that team that has been 100% respectful, courteous, and professional. There is one other man there that I have spoken with but cannot remember his name. He is a great help as well but the management is poor and they change the prices over and over. Mandatory charges after 3 days that I was not made aware of, one time charged that, the next time not. Just an all around confusing experience. If I can find another location or competitor, or if I can have Richard and his fellow employee with the go-tee. I will return to rent. If you can look at my past rentals then you will see that I have a previous rental of three days and no insurance taken, then I have another 3 day rental with a $20 charge. The manager took off a day and yet still charged me for the insurance. Too many mistakes. No consistent prices or help when it comes from the management point of view.Wayne M.

they knew I was moving from TN to IL and one tire was garbage and I had a blow out, costing me hours with my movers sitting around. No one at the Britol TN facility knew what they were doing. I was quoted 380.10 for my 2nd truck for a 26 foot truck and had to move with the 20 foot truck. Nonstop incompetence.judy H.
I moved out a while ago and it took them calling more than 4 times to say my payment was due and me responding with I have told you guys I moved out, for them to finally close my storage unit a month later. There was even mold found on some of my stuff and I had to throw it out and get it replaced even though they have air conditioning. I had reserved the rental truck in advance and they didn't have it ready for me. When I returned the truck early that day there wasn't anyone at the check in station so I had to go inside. They told me they would check it in shortly and that I was good to go. I got a call the next two mornings asking me when I was going to return the truck. The people at this location don't get in a hurry and need some serious training.Mark W.

Moved out August 30, 2021, unable to cancel storage online on my account the option was grayed out. Could not get anyone at the facility itself to answer the phone, when they did answer the phone they hung up on us without saying a word. In addition I called they hundred number for U-Haul and spoke to a tech they told me oh well you'll just need to go in there, first that wasn't what I was told when I got to the building I was told I could cancel online or via telephone second I have Covid I can't just go in there. In addition it show me owing for September and for October, I moved out August 30 oh nothing. It took nine days before I received my cancellation receipt, the customer service with U-Haul is terrible.Angela R. | Overall Experience

I was a ball of nerves. I'm being evicted . I'm a widow at age 62 and someone thought I was dealing drugs. HOWEVER I FEED THE HOMELESS FROM MY KITCHEN JUST A FEW. I went to the office at 12 I had already asked to reserve the van the day before. When I got there the van was not ready to go in was not on the lot stop so I had to wait the man went outside to check the van he said. I waited inside in a moment another man told me the van was ready. I got in the van and started up the street to go and move the furniture I had not got more than two blocks away when I noticed that there was a light on it was the fuel light the van was completely empty of gasoline I was very worried that I would not get to the station before we ran out finally we got to the station and I put $10 worth of gasoline into the van. We moved a table and chairs from one house to the other we had the van about two hours and I'll take it back to the office. When I got to the office I told the man that had given me the keys in the beginning that the van was totally out of gas and I handed him the receipt for the gas that I had put in the van he did not offer to pay me for the gas or to even look at the van and check it back in he just looked at me and turned his head and said sorry and walked off no apology no anything else. just a halfhearted sorry and walked off stop the company charged me for the van and charged me for the mileage I only had the van about 2 hours. The man at the station did not do anything he did not look at the Vin check it out or even offered to repay me for the gas he just walked away I feel like that as a customer I should've at least got my money back for the gas and that I shouldn't have been charged for the mileage I went I would not recommend the treatment that I got to anyone else however I have been using this service a couple of other times and everything went well but on this day it did not it did not go well at all.GLENDA N.

The uhaul on the Ft Myers end was great. The Uhaul in Bristol not so much. There was no communication from office to unbox staging area. I was charged for storage on three boxes on July 23rd but all the boxes were empty and returned by July 21st. I have been trying to get this rectified but cannot get the supposed only person that can do this, Joel, to return my calls. He did return a very small portion but will not speak to me about the restRoger K.

Experience is always good there but even if you drive 12 to 15 miles you better go put gas in it they wanted to charge me $55 because the needle have moved a fraction, go add $3.00-$5.00 dollars in gas in the U-Haul before you return it totally ridiculous.WILLIAM B.

Overall experience with Uhaul, i was extremely dissatisfied. Uboxes could not be delivered to my new location which is understandable so I ordered a truck to empty my uboxes in and bring home. Well that reservation was canceled. Took multiple calls and transfer to reserve a new truck. Hold time at this point was well over and hour. And that's just week one. Then I was promised a 20ft truck as any bigger would not fit over the bridge in my driveway. I get to location to pick up the truck and unload my containers and they had no 20ft trucks left. They changed my reservation to a 26ft truck.. What is the point of a reservation and then a call to confirm if you aren't going to get what you need? So after driving an hour to this location without getting a truck or my stuff, I had to reschedule for the following week! This is now a 2 week ordeal to get my stuff. I was promised a smaller truck for this new date.. Days go by and I see my reservation was changed AGAIN to a 26ft truck! So I canceled the whole thing, found my own box truck NOT from uhaul and then called and was on hold/ transferred for another hour and a half just so I can make sure my boxes were placed out so I could unload them on site. Drive an hour again to location, get there and was told that they NEVER recived the notice yo place my uboxes out and there is no one there to operate a fork lift so that I can access my boxes. I was so mad I was shaking. The staff kept asking who I talked to.. How am I supposed to remember who I talked to after being transferred 3 times and on hold for an hour and a half, I was just happy to talk to someone at that point! All in all... The start of my uboxes in Arizona was perfect. That staff was amazing. Now the end was a disaster. Took me 2 weeks to access my stuff. Multiple phone calls trying to get someone to help me. Time crunched because I don't want to pay another month of rent for the boxes. Hours of wait time on the phone just trying to get my questions answered or find some kind of resolution for a smaller truck. No trucks available. I mean.. I wasn't even that picky. I would of took anything that WASNT a 26ft as it was way too big. The lack of communication in this company is nuts. Oh and yes I finally got my stuff. While I was in the location just fuming with anger trying to figure out what to do next, magically a staff member walks in and is certified with a forklift. Hopefully the next UBox customer has a better experience.Shelby S.

The storage was fine but billing then trying to rectify was and still is a nightmare. Over charged by $265, drove 1hr 2x to get credit Could not do it, then attempted 2 credits 1st for 104.95. Wrote it for 10,495!!!!! Then to rectify charged me 10,495. Due to this my cc co had to reduce available credit. The CHARGE HIT IMMEDIATELY BUT NOT THE CREDIT!!!! I moved out of the storage unit on the 19th of the month, I paid for the full month on the 15th and was not reimbursed for the balance of the month, the rent should have been pro rated for the month, I had my rent set up on auto payment and for 9 months my rent was paid on time.
