The cup holders and steering wheel were filthy. I was on a time crunch and did not have the time to bring it to the attention of the person that helped me. Christopher RinessI had a tow dolly reserved at the Kingsport for a one way to Edgewater,FL only for them to tell me on the day I was to pick up the rental that the only tow dolly they had wasn't for a one way trip. I had to scramble to try a find a tow dolly on the day I was leaving out of town. I eventually found one about 30 miles from where I was originally supposed to pick up the tow dolly. What the point of making a reservation for something they don't have. What a bunch of BS!!! I would've thought they would at least give me some kind of discount for all the time I lost, but they wouldn't. My advise to people out there making reservations with you Uhal, is to call a day in advance to make sure they have the equipment your supposed to pick up from.

There was no bar code so I had to go in to check in. I was told the bar code sign had fallen down. When I returned the rental, I was unable to check out because the bar code still had not been replaced. The location was closed early due to weather. I called the general manager and was told it would be handled when the location reopened. As of now, I’ve yet to receive a final receipt or anything acknowledging my return of the vehicle.

Only thing that could make it better would be a loading dock that lines up with the height of a truck or van for loading and onloading heavy items. Come to think of it, they may have and we just didn't see it. I really liked that they have a room for people to leave furniture or items they no longer want or need so you can "shop" and take something you need. Love to see a good recycle/reuse in operation. That is very cool perk at this location.

Uhual I drove had a busted window, was filthy inside, and started shaking like CRAZY at 35 mph. Brakes were squeaky. I was genuinely afraid for my life. I drove less than 15 miles. Gas gauge didn't move and yet I was charged an extra almost 30 for "gas". I needed a pickup truck to move sheetrock and ended up paying almost 100 for a dangerous dirty box truck.

I asked the man who helped me get the Uhaul checked in if the lock on the back of the Uhual had a key, that way I could lock up my items. I noticed many of the Uhaul's had locks on them. The man said that the lock attached to the back of the Uhaul did not belong to Uhaul and that he did not have a key for it. He told me to go get a bike lock to lock up my items. I proceeded to purchase a new lock to lock up my items and, in doing so, noticed that the lock still attached to the Uhaul was indeed Uhaul property and even had the "Uhaul" insignia stamped into the metal. I would have preferred if the man was just honest with me and had just told me that the company had lost the key to the lock vs. lying and saying the lock wasn't Uhaul property and was left there by someone else. Maybe he truly didn't know. It would be great if the Uhaul store could sell locks. I had to drive a good distance to find a store that sold locks.

The U-Haul agents were "out of this world" helpful and kind! I have only good things to say about my entire experience with them. *** My initial voyage around the gutted out KMART store was not scenic at all. Brand new partitions lined from wall to wall. Clean, dry, well-lit building. I could NOT find my cubicle! Luckily, the nice cleaning lady informed me I was in the "Do it Yourself" section and I needed to explore the "Toys" section to find my spot. I knew exactly where to go. Away I went! Past the "Kitchen Korner," a 90 degree turn by "One Hour Photo" then a stroll through "Lay-a-Way" and VOILA....I FOUND MY SPOT! Happy I was to release my baggage! The best feeling ever! THANK-YOU U-HAUL! I was delighted with my experience!

So I was dissatisfied with the fact they won't let you use the garage bays for unloading, also when i tried to disarm my unit at the main entrance it let me but then it kept denying me access to get in the door. Luckily there was still someone on site that could put her numbers in and hold the door open long enough for me to get in but even she couldnt tell me why it was denying me access to the door but letting me check in and out. 24 hour access would be nice as well.

When soliciting someone for assistance of any kind it should be on the person's terms that you are soliciting from. So if I choose not to answer any of the questions above it should be taken at face value and I should not have to complete a survey in its entirety. Any information that I choose to give you should be good enough. Your customer service lacks because of these types of demands that you're placing on consumers. A customer feels that their boundaries are not being respected because when given opportunities to answer certain questions should they choose not to answer them but forcing them to complete a survey you're not building proper trust and relationships with your customers by doing so. Naturally this will probably fall on deaf ears and toss into a pile somewhere to which it will not be taken to heart and thus the brand loyalty and trust continue to decline.

The younger worker at the desk was fast asleep when we approached the desk and had to be woken by the gentleman helping me. The younger man was also very slow in processing requests. He also could not find the size we needed and we settled for a smaller one. When we went to unload, we noticed an empty one of the size we needed. The older gentleman then took over our order as the other man was with a customer. He found the one we had seen was empty and confirmed it was open and rented it to us.

Staff could have explained it instead of just handing me the card with no instructions. Access hours are suppose to be 24hrs but access stops at 10pm. Not happy about that either

There was even mold found on some of my stuff and I had to throw it out and get it replaced even though they have air conditioning. Will not be using this location again :)

Could not get anyone at the facility itself to answer the phone, when they did answer the phone they hung up on us without saying a word. In addition I called they hundred number for U-Haul and spoke to a tech they told me oh well you’ll just need to go in there, first that wasn’t what I was told when I got to the building I was told I could cancel online or via telephone second I have Covid I can’t just go in there. In addition it show me owing for September and for October, I moved out August 30 oh nothing. It took nine days before I received my cancellation receipt, the customer service with U-Haul is terrible.

Over charged by $265, drove 1hr 2x to get credit Could not do it, then attempted 2 credits 1st for 104.95. Wrote it for 10,495!!!!! Then to rectify charged me 10,495. Due to this my cc co had to reduce available credit. The CHARGE HIT IMMEDIATELY BUT NOT THE CREDIT!!!! Upset disgusted least how I feel

edie corbo | Overall ExperienceI moved out of the storage unit on the 19th of the month, I paid for the full month on the 15th and was not reimbursed for the balance of the month, the rent should have been pro rated for the month, I had my rent set up on auto payment and for 9 months my rent was paid on time. This is not the way to treat good customers, I also rented several trucks and trailers from this location. I don't believe I will use them again in the future

thomas luchini | Overall ExperienceThe facility is climate controlled. You back your vehicle into a secure 2 bay area and use a keycard to open the doors to the facility. Once inside you find carts for your use, as well as security beyond what you would expect. If someone tries to open your unit without first scanning your keycard to gain entry an alarm sounds and security is alerted. UHaul seems to have this storage thing covered!
