I could not talk about the equipment, since I didn't get it. I couldn't get the rented equipment because supposedly I owe money to U-Haul, which is false. I have no debt with U-Haul, and I have copies of all my transactions for the last 3 to 4 years.

The location was understaffed I had moving helpers waiting to unload my truck they arrived at ten am I did not get completed until 11.10 am very unacceptable I lost an hour of my time due to this and the location being understaffed my son and I had to unload the remainder of the truck to the best of our ability I am disabled with a bad back it caused me a lot of emotional stress and body pain!

I had to go out and buy my own exhaust Support because he lost mine then go back the next day and have another installer put it on which he was great. However, there is still banging under my car. Something is loose. I will be back with my car. Uhaul needs to fix it.

KEVIN CThe website said I was going to get my first month's storage for free. When I got to Uhual they would not give me access to my storage areas without paying a month of rent which was $300. Also, I reserved two 10x10s and they tried to Give me one 10x10 and two 5x10s. Then the 10x10 was already being used so they had to give me a 10x15. This all took at least 45 mins during which I was paying my movers overtime because of the delay. Finally, when I arrived to get my truck the three dollys I reserved weren't even there. The whole experience made moving difficult.

If you are anywhere in the Tampa area, this is the U haul to go to. It will be worth however long a drive you have to make.
MARK WEmployee threatened me if I didn't move the truck to a different spot that I returned 5 hrs early that it wouldn't be returned and told me I'll never rent from there again .. followed me out the building and was yelling at me in the parking lot and flipped her middle finger at me! I've done business in this location multiple times in the past week and will never spend another dollar at this location.
CORY NExplain the gas situation better and not charge a ridiculous amount for gas knowing that you did not actually spend that. It feels like a rip off especially to a non profit who struggles to provide the services to the community. Gas on that day was 2.87 per gallon. You say you put in 4 gallons. If I had put in those 4 gallons I would have paid 11.48. Shame on me that I didn't but considering I only went 6 miles total, I didn't use a gallon of gas. Just be realistic with people.

SHAME ON UHAUL FOR GIVING A LONG-TIME CUSTOMER A VAN THAT HAD NOT BEEN PROPELY CHECKED. A DISCOUNT WAS NOT OFFERED, NOT EVEM ONE DOLLAR. THIS LOCATION STINKS! I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE PARRISH ARE LOCATION.
STEPHEN RThey gave me a truck for a long distance move that lurched like a drunk person crossing the street the whole way. In addition, it had not been cleaned in the least. There was cat hair everywhere and it stank like cat urine. Worst uhaul experience I've ever had. They definitely knew what they were giving me because they drove it up (definitely would have felt the lurching and smelled the cat pee). Horrid experience!

ROBERT CThe truck I rented was a little rough, I'm 6'4" tall (this is not U-Haul's fault) and it was really difficult to get in and out of the door! It would not open far enough for me to get in and out of comfortably, always banging my knees, and/or the seat would not scoot back far enough. I thought the truck was equipped with a ramp (unfortunately it wasn't), driver's visor was always in way of my view, (minor issue) the radio volume was inadequate. It did get the job done and at a reasonable price. The service is always excellent there!
DANIEL RThe U-Haul app is misleading. When I arrived for my rental time, my Van was not available even though there was 4 other Vans on the lot. I still had to wait in line to speak with a customer service representative to help me find the keys for my Van. The only one that helped out was a guy named Jose. He was very helpful in assisting me with the keys. I was on a tight schedule and didn't appreciate being an hour late to my destination.

The guy as I was checking out for my purchase even said they are really lenient with things and call before they lock anything which did NOT happen. Im literally homeless right now and have now been denied access to EVERYTHING I OWN. My entire life is in that uhaul that I JUST rented and I now have no access to my belongings just DAYS after I rented a unit. Unacceptable and absolutely ridiculous.

You can tell the gentlemen was new and he tried but the other coworkers were more concerned about their food and cursing out loud with no manners. Then I was guided to go outside and wait for my truck. 10-15mins and no one came out and it's was freezing outside. The same gentlemen had to come out and find the truck. I doubt that is not his job title so he didn't inspect the car and just handed me the keys.

The inside staff were also great, but they were super busy for just the 3 or 4 of them. Some ladies were screaming about something dumb, people were wanting new locks for storages, some dude was buying wrap, and I was checking out a uhaul. They did great too, but basically everyone there today needs a raise (or at least the outside staff, plus schedule an extra person for the inside).

This whole U-Haul experience has been absolutely terrible this person. Vanessa started today in her new position and called me threatening me and telling me I immediately had to pick up this item. I have already returned my truck so I have no way to do so I have had the worst U-Haul experience and that is notated on my account. She did not even want to check with this person seeing that he told me that it was OK to put that item there she was not remorseful for my experience whatsoever.

Never called us prior to pick up of day reserved to let us know they didn't have the truck or auto transport there. We had to go somewhere else to pick up, then return to storage unit to load truck. Customer service called and left message. No response. It was too far away to walk with a small child. I had to wait until the movers came and ask if one could have staff come unlock storage. Staff told me I was can take green tag off myself and waited for me to do so. Once I couldn't get it off, she took it off got in truck burning rubber , turn music up loud and driving backward. I was so confused?

Sherry C | First ImpressionsYour staff ripped me off all I wanted was for a bigger storage unit and 1 of your employees is lazy she didn't want to look and see if there was a bigger unit then she asked me for my phone number she said she would call me back after she reviewed my contact I never heard anything back from her so I called the office number and got customer service and they assured me they had a unit that size I was looking for said it was $124.00 so I go back down there and same lady that I talk to on the phone was the 1 helping me out for about 5 minutes till another employee come in and she told her to help me out she got the room ready wanted $199 it I told I go somewhere else because I already talked to someone else about it and price was $124 I tell I'm moving out she said go ahead well give you your money back cause I just got done paying my rent 3 days later after I acquired another storage unit from another storage place after the disgusting attitude and work ers that you have that tried to rip me off still haven't got my money back and I'd like to see them fired cuz when I went back up there again they tried to say that I've never been there before I've been there for 6 months plus renting a 5x10 room and I was just trying to do was rent a bigger 10x10 and customer service said y'all had a 10x10 available for $124 and that it was going to be a little less because I've already paid my rent so there's definitely a problem down there cuz they definitely got my money and I'm tired of it I've been lied to and y'all supposed to be a great company great companies don't put up with workers like that

She could Not adjust the prorated rental amount even after customer service advised me it would be done after my move out! I paid a full month and then moved out of the units a couple days later! I called to confirm I would receive a credit and was told YES, at the facility after everything is moved out, someone will check it and then credit me but that did not happen! ALSO, the MAIN ISSUE- 2 smart TVs were Broken!!!!! Both screens appear to have been kicked/rolling door closed on them or someone walked by and knocked into my unit! Both TVs were the last items in and my other 4 TVs were in the unit next door as I had TWO UNITS. I'm very upset and now had to file a claim! No one would assist at the location! The GM Mike Powell couldn't even be located for hours while we were moving out of the units! I've left messages and no response! Unprofessional and they did not make sure my items were safe in the 2 months I had my belongings stored!! Had to rent 24ft Uhaul truck and while loading it began to rain and the roof of the enclosed truck LEAKED ON MY THINGS! Absolute WORST EXPERIENCE! STILL PENDING A RESPONSE FROM THE GM, Mgmt, customer service…someone!!!!

Johna W | First ImpressionsOnly thing that lets down such a large facility is only 1 elevator, moving in was fine as it was quiet and we got done in under 4 hours - move out was nearer 6 hours due to waiting for elevator and others with large loads who were loading the elevator and blocking the way Also we had booked a 20x10 and were given 2 10x10's which is similar in size but 15ft ladders will not fit (however you try) into a 10ft space so we ended up having up put them in the re-use and now will have to buy more at our own expense If it's listed as a 20x10 please be sure you have them - others will have the same problem along the way

I then received a rude voicemail from a staffer at Uhaul stating that they put a lock on my unit because it wasn't secured. What I came to know is the unit that wasn't secured was the space that I wasn't given access to and non of my belongings occupied that unit. I was also told that I would be responsible for paying for this space because it was assigned to me. Also after vacating the facility on 7/22/23 I've received several emails about failed attempts to collect a monthly storage fee for units that I'm not occupying. I occupied unit 153 from 6:25/2023 - 7/22/2023 with one free month of storage included in a One Way truck rental that I completed on 6:25/2023 from Ocoee Fl. A message was left for the Gm regarding the issue with the storage space and received no response.

The associate walked us to the two units assigned to us (they didn't actually have the size that had been requested and confirmed so we had to use 2 units). Unfortunately, those two units were occupied. We waited for the associate to assign us 2 new units, again on the 2nd floor, and once we began unloading we saw there were many available units on the first floor. The entire process was filled with mistakes, confusion, and delays. Our moving helpers had to leave to do another job, so we were forced to wait another 2.5 hours for them to return before we could even begin unloading. The staff were great, but the process needs much improvement.
