Don't tell them if you can't get truck to your preferred location that you might have to go 90 miles to pick it up. Jerk answer because I asked so I could plan my time. Another person heard and told me within 10 or 15 minutes tops. Also, "traffic" person told me there's no truck scheduled to be at your preferred location. Me: But I have a reservation!! Her: Hey, that's the way the moving business works. Lots of people cancel at the last minute. Even if there was one there, if someone walks in to rent it, they will rent it to him. All either of them had to say was if it's not at your preferred location, it will be only 10 or 15 minutes away. That's it. That's all they had to say to be nice to someone under stress which is often the case when you are moving, especially if its for family reasons that were unexpected. Don't even need to be kind. The employees here are great. Uhaul as a corporation is reprehensible in its actions. Accepting reservations for trucks you absolutely know you don't have, and not notifying people until they show up for said truck is bait and switch. At that point you have no other options. There was a problem with the rubber that goes around the door frame, more of a nuisance than a problem, I informed the person when I dropped it off, but not an issue for me. Also I came in the day before for some boxes, there was a customer being a complete jerk but the staff were very professional with him and should be commended, the guy was very rude to them.WANDA M.

The guy that did my paperwork for van and storage was excellent. The guy that checked me in is a smartass and has no clue on customer service. Due to him your facility went from 5 star to 3 star. Van had two different warning indicators light ip on the dash and they still let it off your lotLarry B.

Have a list of which sites are pull through for RVs. Some sites are difficult to get to or to do the pick up due to lack of space. That could be taken into account for car tows.MICHAEL B.

My experience this time was good! Manager met me in the lot and because I had checked in and prepaid, I was out in about 5 minutes. This store has so much equipment its very difficult to even get into the lot. Trucks and trailers are buried and the lot is overfull. I've waited 45 minutes on prior visits to get in.Mark T.
My rental reservation of a 10' truck was not available. I was given a 20' truck at the same rate. However, it was a big inconvenience driving a large truck. The customer service at the pick up location was excellent otherwise.ZACHARY B.
The truck worked fine through the process. It was not at the location where I originally booked and it was supposed to be. The pick up location was across town in a tougher location for me. I was not told until the day of or I may have booked with another company that was closer. No offer was made to deliver the truck to a closer location and I was told no when I asked. There was something called Safe Move put on the bill that I did not ask for and was not advised of. I called as soon as I noticed it and it was refunded. The young woman who checked me out initially did not seem to be extremely concerned about being helpful, but the young man who received the truck was 5 stars. I would use Uhaul again, but was a little frustrated at the location and the safe move.RONALD S.

Maybe have a larger drop-off area? There was a truck ahead of us and one behind us when we dropped off. The computer added another day rental but I received a call that adjusted the extra day & we were missing one dolly but it was not a big deal. We have used this Uhaul three times now. I dropped the truck off after hours. Your drop off procedure for online sucks using Chrome. I wanted to off myself by time I got through the process. Your website kept timing out. Once I switched to Safari it went better. I did not like that UHaul makes you take a million pictures and the process is daunting. If I just dropped the keys off then you're going to charge me and extra $20 if I didn't to the online checkout process. People are typically tired after moving and why do we have to do someone else's job to check the truck in. And I'm one who reads my paperwork so had I not I wouldn't have known about the extra $20 charge. Not cool! The extra money it cost me in gas for 80 miles of going out of my way pissed me off enough I wasn't willing to give you another $20. You're almost there Uhaul but you can definitely improve some more.Holly B.

This facility at 14th St W has too many rental trucks, trailers and other things parked around making it difficult to get around in the lot. There are only 4 access slots,1 is handicap, to get to the storage building. And sometimes the rental trailers are blocking or partially blocking access to those slots. All thought the facility is listed as 24 hour access, the storage facility is only accessible during the business hours for the truck rentals. Both times I have gone to access stuff into storage, I have had to go to the rental office wait in line and ask that the storage be opened as the access codes for the doors do not work. The office staff is less than happy about having to walk over to the storage to open it, the last time taking more than 30 minutes to come and open it. The unit has a large rat trap sitting in it, not what I would expect a unit ready to rent should have.Michael M. | First Impressions
