Now let's get down to the real issue. To let you know I'm not letting this just float away I will resolve it and with closure. I called earlier this morning to your store phone number waited 10 plus minutes no problem all businesses are struggling and doing what they can do to survive. Ordered 2 u boxes. When arrived, was rudely approached and told they have one on a trailer, then we needed to take that to our house, unload it from the trailer, then bring trailer back to get 2nd one. First of all, how are we suppose to get this large ubox off the trailer, then load it once it is filled? Never got the 2nd ubox, no one has returned our calls, and now we are out $900 and two weeks behind on moving. Worst uhaul experience ever!!!!DAVID H.

The shop did an excellent job with the rental. Although I did reserve a 4 wheel cart that was not available, the truck was clean and supplied. At the end of the rental, I replaced the gas. Even though the needle did not reflect the additional fuel, I showed my receipts and the service tech was fine with the replacement amount. It was a very smooth process. Went to return truck. Apparently U-Haul claimed more fuel was in truck when I rented it than was actually the case. 14 mile rental and a $31 fuel charge while also being charged for 20 miles? I also only used 6 shipping pads and no dolly, but they're charging me for 12-18 and dolly? Asked for my paperwork back after they announced the overcharges...they refunded to return my paperwork. If you can't rectify situation, I will NEVER use U-Haul again at ANY LOCATION. FIX IT OR LOSE A LOYAL CUSTOMER!!!Timothy L.

People are always polite and helpful here and I visited several times up till my move. My only complaint is that the fuel on my check in sheet didn't match the fuel in the tank. It cost me $45 to go less than 10 miles. I was told how to deal with this should there be a next time but that doesn't help me being ripped off at $4.17 a gallon this time. This is the first time it's ever happened and for sure the last as well. I will verify before leaving the property.Kathyrn M.

I rented a uhaul and returned it roughly about 15mins later I was informed that iwould ONLY be charged for mileage and gas. I took a picture of the gas meter when I got in the truck and was certain to return it with the same amount of gas. Roughly $50 was held on my card initially, but once the transaction was completed I was charged about $62.00.! The money that was held plus an additional $13. I am VERY OUT RAGED AND HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. An employee spoke with the manger and assured me that I would pay no more than $20. I have NEVER received such an horrible experience and provided MISLEADING AND FALSE INFORMATION.! And to make matters worse I received an email â€œThanking Me For Being A Valued Customerâ€ I FEEL SCAMMED.!LaTonya P.

The movers you recommended in packing the u box we're good on the first box, that we saw. The second and third boxes that were packed without us there, were totally trashed, one box was half full, the other box was 3/4 full. And they told us they couldn't take anymore. That I would have to take the rest on my trailer. ONE moving blanket was used for all three boxes. Only the first box was fairly well packed. We took the insurance that was offered, but later found out that this would not be not covered (to our surprise). We feel we were misled and deceived by your U Haul U Box process.Gail M S.

They told me the contents of the truck would fit a particular size unit, I questioned this and was going to book 2 units but she talked me out of it. Unfortunately when I got to this location the unit wasn't big enough for the contents of the truck and they no longer had any available. I followed the instructions on the app for self check in exactly, was still in the process of doing so when I was met at the truck by an employee who's said â€œwell, things just don't appear on their own, you still have to go inside to get the keyâ€. No one should be spoken to this way, of course I know things don't appear on their own and I was still following the steps for self check in. Then after going inside, I still had to wait in like behind 5 people to purchase their trucks (not plan ahead like I had) while my key was sitting right next to the gentleman checking people in. What's the point of having a skip the line process or self check in if you can't actually skip any lines?? After i called the 800 number and was given a great price on a storage unit that should have been adequate, i went to the location only to find out that they did not in fact have a unit for me at said location or any other location in my area, i was told that the reservation was free and come to find out that it most definitely was not free. My bank account was charged for unit i can not even use and now i have to wait 3-5 business days to receive my refund for their mistake. Sure they can take your money on the spot for no service rendered but they want to make you wait to give you back the money they said they wouldn't take until i was actually moved in... A fairly new building. We had NO food in our storage unit. (#4001 Top Floor) We"ve never seen that much RAT POOP ever!! The infestation was sickening!! We wore mask for fear of disease!!! Talked with other customers and they said the same thing. Manager was short with us, and unconcerned. Said we were the only complaint. NOT TRUE. The other couple said she said the same thing to them. Only asked us if we had insurance for our damaged property. We're contacting the health department. I thought insurance was for flood, or natural disaster.....guess I should have read the fine details. Lost four chairs, antique family heirloom, and some items in boxes. The POOP that was swept out into the hallway was still there when we came back two days later, just to continue to get OUT!!! Only used storage this time in my life during the move to FL, and pray I never use it again!! OH, this card system in and out seems convenient, but alarm goes off way too often.....I wonder how much damage has been caused to our hearing. Spent 2 hrs picking up trailer, over 1 hour returning trailer. I was told i would get a free months rental on a storage unit for renting the trailer, so i said ok. I was going to Rent a unit closer to home but i figured since the first month was free i would use that unit. When I arrived with a my trailer loaded i went into the office where i was told they probably didnt have a unit for me because they had reserved the only unit available to 5 people. I tried to explain that you can't RESERVE 1 unit to five people when the woman became rude. They finally gave me a unit they had reserved to somone for the 15 th. We moved to the area from Indiana, so we dropped off the rental truck & auto transport here. The employees were quick to acknowledge us & help us any way they could. We rented a storage unit here too. It was quick & easy to do, and the facility was very clean, inside & out. In my experience, this location was like a revolving door. This facility at 14th St W has too many rental trucks, trailers and other things parked around making it difficult to get around in the lot. There are only 4 access slots,1 is handicap, to get to the storage building. And sometimes the rental trailers are blocking or partially blocking access to those slots. I had a moving company to move in my things. Delayed 1 hr due to lack of staffing, errors in unit being available, time to get access.and doymove. The gentleman who helped me was as helpful as he could be and very polite and the lack of staffing g was not his problem.too many behicles.coming in, inspections needed needed outside and they were only 2 at the front desk as well? Could rarely get to access my storage unit due to the hours they allow people inside. Closing out my account was apparently a two day and multiple phone call process and I have yet to receive my refund on money spent. The day I was closing out apparently only one person was able to take care of me despite there being multiple employees working the counter. The unit was extremely moist and all of our belongings had an excessive amount of mold on them. The reason we wanted inside climate controlled storage was to avoid damage like this our property. The first unit had a latch that didn't work (and had a tag that said so along with Do Not Rent). They quickly set me up with a different unit and everything was fine. All thought the facility is listed as 24 hour access, the storage facility is only accessible during the business hours for the truck rentals. Both times I have gone to access stuff into storage, I have had to go to the rental office wait in line and ask that the storage be opened as the access codes for the doors do not work. The office staff is less than happy about having to walk over to the storage to open it, the last time taking more than 30 minutes to come and open it. The unit has a large rat trap sitting in it, not what I would expect a unit ready to rent should have.Michael M. | First Impressions
