The people working at this location are awesome. Renting storage spaces and renting two trucks over a month I dealt with multiple employees at this location. Everyone of them was great. They answered my questions and had positive helpful attitudes. It was great customer service. I think all of them should be recognized for how well they are doing their jobs!!!!

I wanted a class 3 hidden hitch design for my 2024 Toyota Sienna and the staff and installer answered all my questions/concerns. Communication was excellent and the finished look of the hitch is amazing as all that is visible is the receiver.

Despite having fully checked in online, I had to answer the same questions again at the pickup counter. What's the point of the online checkin? The woman at the checkin counter was obviously overwhelmed as the place was understaffed, and she was rather surly about it. The gentleman outside who hooked up the equipment was amazing. Fast, thorough and efficient while being very friendly and personable. That man deserves a raise!

the people in this location gave me a dirty van from inside and need a repair call me after because they weren't aware, it's end by charging me more than i expect, i return the van on saturday and they didn't check in and call me on sunday asking when i will return the van and they charge me for one extra day plus there is extra charges need to be dispute

The truck I drove needs to be put to rest. I as araid when I accelerated that the transmission was going to blow up. This truck had over 170,000 miles on it and needs to be retired. The employees at the store on check in and check out where wonderful. I highly recommend this location . The truck is just tired and needs to be put to rest.

I had a storage unit there for over 5 years...sometimes multiple units. For the most part I've always had a great experience. Ben and Jim were always great and willing to help make sure I had everything I needed. I had a different experience upon moveout and dealing with a couple of other associates (names unknown) but it is something hopefully they will learn from and be better to help customers in the future.

Benjamin is fantastic! He has a great personality and even better attitude. I’ve been to this location before and have never had such a great experience. He needs to be recognized for his work ethic and dedication to customer service. I cannot praise his “service with a smile” attitude enough. Unfortunately the truck had some real issues when it came to the drivers side door which wouldn't lock unless you slammed it shut really hard, however the really bright spot was the desk agent Lisa C (i believe this is her name who helped me at the desk) she really goes above and beyond both with her customer service and her acknowledgement of Veterans and their service (because of her family background) she is a assets to your company for sure.

The 24/7 pick up is a joke. It was freezing outside. And the agent wanted two contacts to verify. And the system wasn’t taking my wife’s number. On top of that. She wanted to call both contacts. I rent uhaul trucks several times a month. All over the country. With the same credit card and name. Never a problem on my end. And yet i am still vetted like I’m some crack head trying to rent a truck. I am renting these trucks for my business. I have a corporate account with Penske. But have been using uhaul more frequently. You think they would realize this and treat me as a regular customer. Instead of someone who has never rented there before. I had just rented a truck at that location the previous week. Went out to Boston and rented a truck there for 3 days. And then returned to the same location to pick up a truck after hours. And the agent wants to have multiple contacts and call them all. This was BS!

Benjamin helped me every step of the way. Phoned me to tell me the pick-up truck was down for maintenance issues and asked me if a van was ok. When I got there he showed me the van and asked if I needed the bigger one for what I was hauling. When I got back he immediately came out and asked if everything was good!

The Bolingbrook location was great. However, we made the reservation at the Romeoville location, and no one showed up for work. The office should have opened at 7, but was still closed at 8. Fortunately, your phone support staff was able to quickly transfer the reservation to Bolingbrook.

The only reason I wouldn't recommend is due to the level of work to store and remove items by cart is very difficult unless you are only using for seasonal reasons. Otherwise, not recommend due to difficult access moving large items or moving as well as using carts for larger amount of property. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with service. Thank you

I rented storage space for nearly 7 years and was grateful for the convenience and reasonable monthly fee. My only two complaints are: the bathroom was usually a wreck (unclean, out of toilet paper etc.) and the elevator always smelled horrible...I do wish that dollys were available for use just like the carts as sometimes the carts are not helpful, but I understand that they would disappear too easily. Thanks U-haul. It's been a blast!

The only negative comment I could make, was I misplaced my storage keys and was told my only option was to call a locksmith? I’m sure there could be a more helpful response and something helpful, like a charge to have it cut off and replace the lock? I did however find my keys. Everything else went smoothly and no other problems. Thank You For Your Time.

We were only one week into the new month, but I was unable to negotiate a refund for the remaining 3 1/2 weeks off the bill. I spoke with them well in advance. We hired moving helpers. They were very friendly but not always extremely careful with the walls and items the were moving. One of them was a new hire, so that may have been part of the problem.

There was some issues with 3 of my accounts( Storage units) there. But In all fairness the manager stepped up to the plate and helped considerably to diffuse the situation. (Listen!) overall I think that they're a very decent company now to do business with!

prepared to move my property out, Wanted to speak to the manager about a possible refund since I pre paid months in advance. each time i stopped in he was gone for the day. Could not get him on the phone nor a phone call returned after leaving multiple messages. They demand you pay on time but will not even discuss a refund for moving out in advance. I booked a U-Haul storage unit combined with renting a moving truck and trailer. However, when it came time to pay for the storage unit, the location changed to the wrong city. The first representative I spoke to said that I would have to drive to the other city to cancel the unit. The second representative I spoke to canceled the wrong location and left the contract open for the unit that I did not want. After speaking to three representatives, I decided to use a different storage company. U-Haul is overpriced for the terrible customer service they have.

Most of the staff was great. Had a bad experience with a lady there (forgot her name). The day we moved August 30th the elevators were broken and we had to move everything from a 3rd floor. It was very hot. Never received a call from management for a follow up. Not even a “hey we’re so sorry for the inconvenience”. Nothing. Left a message for the manager and he never called me back.

Juanita was extremely helpful and very nice. She carried the bundles of extra large boxes to my car. The elevator was out for a little over a week but was working on the last day when I closed my units on the 3rd floor. I was pleased about the elevator since I had a moving company coming to pack.

1. I believe the cost was too high 2. I didn't like the reduced hours once I made an arrangement to settle and move out by a certain date. As a regular renter the access hours were fine, it was only after I made arrangements to move out that it appeared things were being made harder for me. I also didn't like that my daughters name was removed from the lease and she had to get a signature from me to move her things out of the storage unit. Some how I went from being a co-signer to being the only one on the lease and that should have never happened. I never received a call or notification of that and neither did my daughter. 3. I didn't like how the alarm went off each time when I opened my unit. This was even after I paid the settlement amount. 4. I didn't like the beat up latch on the unit that was like that when I moved in, it was always a struggle to unlatch the door to open the unit. I assumed that during my time renting, it would be switched out or repaired but it never was. They maintained the grounds but left broken latches in place. I noticed many other units with what appeared to be bent or beat up latches as well. This should be resolved. 5. I didn't like the LACK of DIVERSITY at this location. There are all types of people that live in Bolingbrook a suburb of Chicago one of the most diverse cities in this country but I saw SO diversity at this location (for 2 years) and I think it would have made a difference and would have been friendlier. In general I would look elsewhere before I rented from UHaul storage facility the next time.

Figured out side door access on our own including fact you have a to swipe first main door then go to side door to swipe again. Also 24hr access door needs to be fixed, can't open door easily (panic door hw constantly stuck). There needs to be a way to use the main door (locked with deadbolt) after you gain after-hours access because not everything fits through 3ft wide side door.

The access key card never worked. I took the card to the office on 3 different occasions to have it programmed. They gave me a new card and still never worked. We went during business hours and always had to tolerate the sound of the alarm when we opened the door to storage unit. The alarm is very obnoxious.
