My security code did not work the entire week that I tried to use your services. I was constantly required to call repeatedly to get access to the unit. After 7 days this issue still was not resolved. I removed all of my belongings on day 7. I will never do business with you people again.

The access code instructions are variant clear. I spoke with a very nice gentleman, I believe his name was Nick who explained that it needed to be entered into both of the electronic pads. Which makes absolutely no sense when you think about it.

Had an issue with my door not being aligned and having to lift the door to secure lock and received no response about my inquiries to have fixed (email, app communication, and phone calls). Why would I pay $116 a month for a storage unit that I'm unable to properly access without having an additional person there to lift the door in order for me to place my lock?? Also, homeless folks are living in the facility. I didn't feel safe entering the facility alone and again, why would I pay for a unit I can't even access without having a buddy system???

The process of securing a Storage unit was awful. I attempted to move the reservation to a facility closer to my house, and it was a huge ordeal. One facility, close by, never answered the phone, so I was sent to the call center, where they put in a reservation at another location across town, then, when I went to put in the code, and try to move into that unit, the code did not work. I tried calling the nearby U-Haul location that managed that storage facility and after getting no answer from them, it was forwarded again to the call center, and they were not able to see what the problem was, and why I could not get into the unit. The call center attempted again to call the location, and with no answer advised that I drive back over to the location. So, I ended up having to drive back to the original location that was 20 minutes away from my house to drop off the truck and rent a unit from them. That location was much more responsive and helpful. What should’ve been a 45 minute task. Turned into a four and a half hour task, and I lost most of a day to get things done. This is my second time working with U-Haul for a long distance move (once for myself and this time for a family member), and while the truck rental was fine both times, both attempts to do a storage with them were terrible. I will never move long-distance or store with U-Haul again.

You advertise everywhere that it is 24/7 access. I went to move things in after 10 pm and it was closed. Apparently I had to buy 24/7 access. Why didn’t you mention that more clearly? Why does the building say 24/7 if it’s not really 24/7? It really wasted a lot of my time.

Poorly maintained, doors not opening and getting stuck, building often inaccessible because of parking lot being blocked off by weekly concert traffic and full of cars for the event. Ridiculous pricing for what is offered, was also misquoted originally for how much space needed and had to buy 2 smaller units that were more combined than a single unit of larger capacity a month, had I been quoted accurately for space needed based on the U-Haul truck’s own truck measurements that I moved there with, I wouldn’t have had to spend double on a unit. Very disappointing and would not recommend, no use going here when I could go to any other low rent storage facility for much cheaper.

I rented 2 units from them for most of my rental time of April 2022 until July 2023. They offer climate control which is great for all your things. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. If I should need storage again in the future, I will definitely call U-Haul.

The storage experience was fine, that wasn’t the issue. The issue was my card being charged after I had already moved out and when I called the U-Haul office and stopped in there, each time they said i would get refunded the charge or the charge canceled and it hasn’t happened

The doors were broken most of the time we had our storage there. The day we desperately needed to retrieve our stuff no one could get into the building due to the door being broken. We moved out to a new storage facility because of this. Horrible place to rent.

Only thing that could be more accurate is when you give a quote include the tax with it. Remember to put everything in the quote & then make sure the person knows that the extras are available.

Heidi Ferguson is probably one of the best Bangor U-Haul Storage managers that I have ever dealt with! Rick the cleaning guy always was courteous and was a very good conversationalist and is also one of the best cleaning staff at the Bangor U-Haul that I have ever dealt with during the 20 or maybe 30 different times I've had to use the U-Haul Storage since 1989! I now give the Bangor U-Haul 10 thumbs up and 20 Stars. Before the above mentioned people began working for the Bangor U-Haul it looked pretty run down now it looks like a brand new car!

First the code I was given did not work for the building. I then had to go to another location just to talk to someone about it. They gave me a card to use instead of the code. The card worked in the readers about 30% of the time. I had to first swipe the card at a reader that was down some stairs to disarm the alarm then go upstairs to swipe for building access. If the building access reader did not read the card then I would have to go back down the stairs to disarm the alarm again. I had to repeat this numerous times because I had a lot of things to move and at one point had my unit open with my stuff in it and I could not reenter to finish loading and secure my stuff. I since then have tried to call the place multiple times to get my reservation moved to another facility with less problems and could never get anyone to answer. Instead I was forwarded to uhaul in another state who would then tell me that they couldn't help so they'd connect me back with the local uhaul who again wouldn't answer and then would be forwarded to uhaul out of state. Now I'm about to go and get my stuff and cancel the unit altogether. Absolute BS at how overly difficult all of this has been just to pay you to store my stuff. I can't trust that I can even access my unit and I can't even trust to have local support if there is an issue. I've been a loyal customer to uhaul for decades and this has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I don't even want to buy a roll of tape from your company.

Most of my paperwork and some pictures were moldy. I had no food in my unit and found mouse pizz on most of my stuff. Found some type of stuff on my wooden homemade bench..that looked weird and never seen in my life. I let the lady know about the mouse pizz and she shrugged it off...told her there were ways for them to get into the units...still she shrugged it off. Had to edit "P" word!

I rate my experience excellent, except the facility had many ramps and sloped parking making loading and moving large heavy items on carts difficult. As well as access to back in a moving van was difficult because of the entrance location so close to a busy road and bridge on ramp. I understand this is not something that could be changed due to the buildings location in the city. All in all a great experience, staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

one comment I have is the picture shows how furniture might fit. What it doesn't show is how difficult is is to try and maneuver large pieces of furniture in the tight hallway with low ceilings to get it into the storage unit. It was almost impossible to get a couch in the unit.

Phone people from regional office's not well trained about your equipment, very polite, but my reservations were botched 3 times. I had to drive to the location and stay over to get my equipment on a new contract, now the 4th. This all was unnecessary with proper training. I.e. does a van have a trailer hitch? Can you pick up a trailer after hours? Simple, but when I arrived after hours my truck is ready with keys in the box but no trailer? Train the remote people. Have them work in the stores for a time.

I have rented from uhaul several times in the last few months and purchased a lot of boxes. I have had numerous issues such as extremely long wait times and returning truck using app that didn’t work, causing me delays. Once I bought a lot of boxes and workers did not assist. The worst was today when I was charged for gas even though I followed instructions and had tank half full. I could have gotten gas for less than half what uhaul charged. I understand the policy but was following the instructions I was given. I will use another company in the future- terrible customer service.

The people I dealt with at the Summer Street location were fantastic. The only issue I had was with one of the traffic representatives, I think her name was Arial. Due to issues beyond my control, I needed to extend my equipment use. Ideally, I wanted to change my equipment from a trailer to a car transport mid-trip. Due to the cost, it was/will be cheaper for me to make an additional trip across the country to retrieve my vehicle rather than adjust my equipment. That doesn't seem rational to me. Further, Arial's attitude and explanation were less than satisfactory. Additionally, if I call the Summer Street location and I want to talk to a representative at that location, I want to have an option to do that without a hassle or speaking to someone who can not understand my situation or can't help me, i.e. Arial!

You guys gave me a fuel surcharge that was absolute bullshit. She gave me the paperwork sayin it was half, it was a tick under. I had a funeral to make I couldn’t sit and argue that her paperwork stated that it had a gallon or two more in it. Fourteen dollars you got me for a gallon of fuel. Then, I called and returned the truck early, the guy in the office told me there was absolutely no rush to bring the truck in, I can drop it off after close and leave the key in the box. I even parked in the best possible spot, backed it in, and you guys charged me twenty more dollars for late drop off WHEN IT WASNT DUE TILL THE MEXT DAY. He never disclosed a twenty dollar fee and encouraged me to take my time because of your companies convenient services, and the fact that the location didn’t require staff. I went over on mileage that’s fine. I want the thirty four dollars back or I’m gonna raise hell. Especially because the inside of the truck was dirty during this epidemic and I took pictures, check under the seats for the micro machines toy that was left from previous renters. I’m sure it’s still there because your staff obviously isn’t capable of keeping your vehicles maintained properly.

Rented a box truck to move a couch. Plans fell through and never ending up picking the couch up. Drove a total of 10 miles, and filled up the tank before bringing it back. Had to put 3.5 gallons into it before it got back to full. When we told the guy how much gas it took, he showed us the trailer mode was on and it uses more gas. We asked him why the trailer mode would be on and at the least why nobody would tell us when we rented the truck, he said it's on by default. He conceded we should have been told about it and said he'd put it in his notes for his manager to call us. Obviously he did no such thing. And clearly this is a scam this location is running where unsuspecting renters use more gas than they should.

The people who rented to me were very helpful and were still open at night when I brought in my trailer. I used them for a truck rental about 4 mo ago. I have used them since in my 20s and rented again on my birthday 70. Very good experiences . Thank you.

Was not told about online area to dispute gas. Gas was not where it was said to be. I went 15 miles.and put in 2.5 gallons of gas which put it back to where it was, just below half. But because paper said half o spent another 13 dollars.for not bringing gas back.to right spot. Was also told.milage was .59 and it was .79 manager was no help in fixing the issues or offering any compensation.

Many concerns about driving a 23 foot vehicle. They adjusted mirrors for me. It did smell of smoke so they had windows down. That's much better then an air freshener since I'm allergic

When I arrived to pick up my truck this morning the temperature outside was -2°. I was extremely happy to find out that the truck was running sitting there waiting for me all warmed up. I just made the reservation online at 7:30 PM The night before. To me that was above and beyond. Thank you very much.

when asking for a truck to move appliances and renting an appliance dolly they should have given me a truck with a ramp no ramp caused considerable damage to the appliances. not happy and the truck got stuck in three inches of snow ridiculous. the light switch for the headlights was somewhere fallen into the dash. Not Happy.
