The worst experience I've had thus far. After using U-Haul for dozens of trips for our company, I was more than happy to make reservation. After showing up and being told that my truck was double booked and would not be served to me, after driving one hour, the frustration began. . Myself and several other people waiting in the lobby and walked around the parking lot asking if they knew if any employee was present or not, because no one can find a working U-Haul employee. I was then rented a truck double the size that I asked for, because they had the little boy the one that I had reserved. I contacted the company letting them know that I would be late for my arrival, thanking that communication would be valued, and was told that they are contacting the police because it sounds like I am stealing the vehicle. I quickly explain to them that I have 100% open communication with them, and will respond with the vehicle as soon as possible, and was told that they are dealing with a lot of stress, and because they are in the position to do so, they would report the vehicle as stolen and send the cops after me. Talk about a complete lack of communication with loyal customers, who rely on them for every move they are involved in, after dealing with this location we will strictly be reserving our entire businesses contact with other franchises, companies, because this is absolutely absurd to receive this sort of communication when we are continually deserving our business for one company, and then being disrespected like thisEDWARD M.

Excessive rates on millage are outrageous. 20 miles overestimated was $20.00 $1.00 per mile . Anyone that has to travel farther than the drop off point is in for a rude surprise. I would think twice before renting.THOMAS B.

I was late for my pick up. And while the team made sure I got my truck, I did not appreciate the employee that was not assisting me chastising me for it. I waited for an employee to meet me at the drop off area. The sign said to either expect an employee to help me or go through the checkout process on the App. After I did the self checkout, an employee told me I was supposed to wait for an employee. The signage gave me the option to unhook myself and I did not feel it was appropriate to be admonished by an employee for following the self checkout instructions. A simple thank you for completing the self checkout would have been appreciated.Andrew S.

Rented a 6x12 trailer for two days. Arrived and it took an hour to get a working trailer. The lights on the first trailers didn't work, third was the charmâ€¦so we thought. We are moving from a location an hour away from this facility to a home 20 minutes from the facility. We drove the hour with the trailer back to the house we were packing up to move. Had intended on utilizing this trailer to move mattresses due to the rain, that night. Opened up the trailer and it smelled like someone had used it to haul loads of really stinky trash. Thought airing it out would help so we left it open for 30 minutesâ€¦which only made our entire yard, house and garage smell. After we determined that The smell of rotting trash was not going anywhere, we called the facility only To be met with â€œyou can exchange itâ€. So another Two hours on the road, an hour there and back, and ZERO compensation for our trouble or gas due to their incompetence (no credit, still had to pay full price PLUS additional gas for exchange and had to return by 5 pm not 8pm on Sunday, so didn't even get two full days!). Return was also not easy as the facility stopped answering the phone 10 minutes prior to close and instructions on self return were not correct for our model trailer. An employee who had already clocked out (I didn't catch his name!) saw us struggling to return and told us where to go to get the tools (from uhaul, at the parking lot) to help us lift the trailer from the ball. Super nice gentleman, despite not being able to actually help us as he stated he was â€œoff the clockâ€. We won't rent here again.Ronald L.

If you absolutely have to use uhaul, this location is a great location, but if you can find anything other than uhaul, buggy and horse say, I would recommend going with that option before using uhaul.Rene G.

It was a great experience until I cleaned out my unit. My monthly contract bills from the 10th of each month. Yesterday (the 20th) I emptied out my unit because I know there is rather long waiting list for these at this time. When I went to front desk the employee asked me how he could help me. I explained I was there to close out my unit and he exclaimed "great we have a long waiting list for these!" I asked if the unit would be prorated since I was turning it in 20 days early and I know that within a day it will be filled again by another Pain customer. He stated that if it had been within seven days of my payment instead of 10 they would've prorated me. I asked him if I was indeed correct that my payment was due on the 10th of every month and he confirmed that. So to clarify I turned in my unit 20 days early and have paid in full for that unit. However it will be rented out to someone else who is paying in full with overlapping payments. I am extremely disappointed in that this is the company's policy and that a shrug is how this is handled at the store level. It is certainly a lesson learned and a story to be told to all friends and family considering storage options. There are many other local alternatives in our area.Kevin B. | Overall Experience

The only thing is when we got all our items out of the unit, I went to the front, told them the unit was empty and cleaned out. That was on December 3rd, 2021. A worker was going to go and check it out, I ask if I should stay, I was told I didn't have to that the unit will be looked at and a email sent to me stating everything looked good. Had issues with non renters gaining access after hours by trying to pull into 'garage' area, also, someone had been accessing my storages when I was not there, and guy with uhaul shirt went into a different unit one visit, he set off alarm and he shut and locked the door and boogied down hallway (not sure if just posing as employee?)-which does not give security a high rating. My reservation did not actually hold a storage unit or a truck. I understand this is a issue with the national uhaul system but the staff was not helpful in resolving this issue, causing hours long delays in my moving day plus extra expense. The facility bathroom was disgusting and I did not have access to the building or my unit and this was not resolved until after the office closed for the day.
