16th June Rented 15ft truck Barton and Nash because 10ft not available. Questioned clerk over and over again about truck being available for pickup Morning of 18th. He assured me it would be there. Notified morning of 17th Truck was in for repairs and person spoken to originally should have known this. 10ft truck located on Plains rd was available for the 18th. $50 credit given but it was not explained to me it was a one way rental and I was to drop it at Nash and Barton. This caused further inconvenience because I drove my car myself with the intention of returning the truck to Plains Rd location. This created problems because no one could use my car that day. If I had of known of the one way rental I would have had someone drop me of thus saving me time and allowing the use of my vehicle that day. Overall it was a terrible experience, very frustrating. I will look elsewhere next time for a rental. This criticism is not directed at the Plains R location, I had no issue with themSteve K.

They would not let my brother return the trailer without me present which resulted in an annoying call to customer service. As well they don't let you drop off equipment in other locations without large chargesâ€"the whole point of renting it is that I am moving, I don't want to return to drop off a trailer.Kiegan I.

I have been renting from you guys for about 30 years.. I rent when I go and pick up donations for needy families.. The rental money all comes out of my personal pocket I've always had a discount BUT apparently head office told them that they can no longer give discounts.... I spent the whole freaking day Since 10:30 am till 5 pm, trying to get hold of somebody at u-haul ....every single person that I was transferred to told me That it's up to the location ....BUT the location's manager Mike the GM tells me that he can't because he was told by head office tower In Arizona But he is no longer allowed to give discounts .... WHY WHY WHY?. So who's lying and why now??? suddenly I can't get a discount. 2 weeks ago it cost me $253 this week it cost me $647 I don't think I'll ever be renting from you guys again it's sad but I can't do it without the discount... Rent elsewhere just not Plains Rd . Returned trailer and was advised they would e-mail receipt. Called twice no answer , third time hung up . Fourth time put on hold , said they would send receipt but instead sent contract again without closing file. Next day received a call from another location where's the trailer. Drive your vehicles to see what's wrong with them. The door was damaged at some point the road and wind noise on a 6hr drive is unbearable screeching, you will go deaf on the highway. The vehicle I had should only be used for local short city runs under 60 km. The first vehicle was a return not cleaned but was exchanged with the loud and noisy 10 ". The tire inflation warning light was on the dash was on unable to clear the message board to read the milelage. I tried to call the office 4 times and no one asnwers the phone after I left with the truck. When I originally went in no one was at the front office and waited over 5 mins. It seems they crew were in the back talking to a blond who wasnt a client.branthaven H.

Check the equipment. The wiring on the trailer was frayed and shorted out at my destination. I had to spend 2 hours fixing it so I could get home.sean A.

Truck was not inspected and stuff did not walk us through. The door cable was broken and the door could not open. We have to bring it back for exchange. We were told that there is non left in this location (Burlington). We have to go to another location pick up. They refused to up grade and after the stuff talked to the head office they gave us another same size 20ft truck and forced us to bring back to same location. After 1 hour of running around we had to paid extra for 3 moves and gas on returned trip. They did not refund us. Never rent from Uhall again.prisilla N.

Had reservation to pickup the truck at 730 am, not able to log on website. Customer service on line put me on hold for 45 MNS then I hang up the store open 9:00am. The teller had to open 4 luck's to find the right key. My reservation was moved to an other location farther than the previous one, who paid for gas.....Didar A.

fix the vehicle so it is road worthy. the miirrors were broken so it poses a danger to the driver and others on the road. this truck should not be on the road.David O.
I didn't mind the wait on May 1 and the staff were very pleasant considering the system response delays they were having on such a busy day slow but I suggest UHaul increases the system speed for the stores so they can better serve the customer and avoid staff frustration. Again, the staff were excellent and only acknowledged the slowness but did not complain. GraciasPaul R.

I only needed the truck for an hour to pick up a large purchase from Cdn Tire. The truck was filthy inside. Mud and covered in dust and some kind of animal hair. My clothes were filthy from sitting on the seats. I've rented from that location before and didn't have a problem but this time was definitely poorKelly H.

The panel van was in great condition and the perfect size to move a Queen size bed set and frame, linens, pillows, and several bins of clothes and other miscellaneous items. I reserved an appliance dolly with my truck. I went to pickup my truck and dolly 7am (opening time). Rep said the dollies were "first come first serve" My move was much more difficult with that dolly. What's the point of reserving something that may not be available? My experience was great until I emptied my unit I called to get information and was told that I did not wait till the end of my pay period and my account would be adjusted and pro rated for the time I used. However when I tried to settle my account I was told that customers have been told that but it was not what was on his computer and he would look into it and get back to me As of today I have heard nothing and I have not received a credit Can you please rectify? Staff tried to lie and say or storage booking didn't exist and that all the storage units were occupied. After minutes of explaining we indeed did book, randomly there was a unit available for us... I have been repeatedly overcharged for my storage unit from the beginning of my account use until after I moved out. The first month promotion from Uhaul was never honoured. I have made numerous attempts to contact the Aldershot location, by phone and email and my calls were never returned over the whole 5 month period. I even waited on hold for an hour to contact Uhaul central Customer Service, they tried to get in touch with the Aldershot location, and couldn't get a reply by phone, then they sent an email to the location, and still the Aldershot location didn't reply to the message from Head Office Customer Service. The Aldershot location continues to charge me even after I moved out, despite my numerous emails advising them that I'd be moving out, and to stop charging me. They placed a lock on my unit, and never removed it even after I paid excessive extra charges. The lock remained in my unit long after my account was fully paid, which prevented me from moving out earlier resulting in several additional months of unnecessary storage costs. When I had paid for and arranged a moving service to move out of my storage unit, I couldn't access my storage unit for the moving company because the Aldershot still had a lock on my storage unit. This is the worst predatory business practices I have ever seen, especially during the pandemic, and with such a large International Company like Uhaul, this is completely unacceptable. Customers of Uhaul at the Aldershot location have been leaving very Negative Reviews of the terrible customer service and overcharges at Uhaul at Aldershot. I would like Uhaul Head Office to assist me with providing a refund for all of the amounts that have been Overcharged on my account by Uhaul Aldershot. Please have Uhaul Head Office contact me to resolve the unethical business practices of the Uhaul Aldershot location and their numerous overcharges on my account.
