Storage had a leak which ruined some expensive household goods and because i didnt put insurance on the unit the claims adjuster wouldnt do anything for me.

My complaint is not with the staff or Uhaul location, but with the 26’ truck that I rented. I drove 8.5 hours in 30 degree weather with NO heat in the truck. Had to wear a hat, gloves, coat, muffler, and wrap a blanket around me to drive. These trucks really should under go thorough inspections. It was an extraoridinarily unpleasant drive. When the truck was returned and staff made aware of the issue no offer to credit part of fee back or appeasement was made on the part of Uhaul at all. The trip was really a life threatening experience as hypothermia can kill. Stopping and requesting a replacement truck was not an option for a fully packed 26’ truck during a night move, didn’t see any available mechanics at 1:00 am.

Small issue, I did not use the small dolly but was charged for it because I leaned on it To catch my breath when I felt light headed and raised my foot to rest it as I leaned forward. That was enough to break the thin Cable tie. I told them when I turned it in but they were checking in the vehicle ahead and had me just leave it. The turn in man must have forgotten when they checked it in or someone other than who I spoke with checked it in and added it to my bill. It is $21.00 not a big deal but when I told them him he seemed to understand. I did not like the truck also had a bundle of shipping pads both kind of in the way at the rear of the truck. I have a larger move coming later this month and will look at another company for that. Because U haul doesn't offer a mileage free per day rental on box trucks and $0.79 is a high cost for mileage. But the truck was nice as were the staff the store was full of everything you need to move or store your belongings.

Most difficult location I have ever used. Suggest finding a better location. parking lot is way too small for your traffic. Difficult getting in and out of your location.

I was charge for a dolly that I did not use. I had addressed to the person checking me in that I would not be needing a dolly that I have my own. When returning the vehicle I was charged for using the dolly because there was a broken seal on it but I did not touch it or use it since I have my own. A broken seal on a dolly could have been caused by moving furniture in the truck NOT using the dolly. I shouldn’t be charged for something I did not use. Very disappointing .

The door lock was broken and took significant effort to open every time. Also, my belongings were filled with sunflower seeds and other nuts by rodents during the winter. Everything else was good.

This is my second time using the facility in a year. My furniture had rat feces on it and the boxes had feces and ruin on them. My kids mattresses had insulation on them. Field mouse was dead on rug.

It smelled horrible when I walked in the facility. There was no service with a smile. The guy had to redo the whole storage transaction and set up. The process took almost 1.5hr.

Had a climate control unit that was often hotter than the outside units. The system was broken for a while. The manager is very unprofessional. He was hard to reach whenever and never returned calls.
