I rent the Auto Transport quite often and have experiences with several of the U-Haul locations in town. I always go out of my way to use the facility on Craig as it has the best and most professional staff around. This particular visit I was in and out in about 5 minutes. The managers are very friendly and had me out in a flash. I was greeted outside by DeAndre who quickly and thoroughly had me connected and on my way. There was a hole in the sidewall of the left driver's side outside tire. It caused a slow leak. That was discovered many hours into the trip. Roadside Assistance was very timely. Windshield wipers didn't work. That's a safety issue. That wasn't discovered until hours after the trip began. Lost many hours due to taking it to a U-Haul service center in Sparks, Nevada. They couldn't diagnose the problem, so they sent me to an independent mechanic shop. It turned out only to be a missing fuse. That's a very poor indication of the quality of service and safety at that pick- up location.James O.

The people were nice, especially Patricia. Angela was helpful in providing some refund due to our trailer breaking down in Mississippi. I don't think any individual location is the problem but the overall way U-haul operates. We ended up losing over a day of travel as a result of our issue and the reasoning we got from dispatchers was because it was a holiday. That is a poor excuse for a company that advertises 24/7 365 availability. I would suggest the operations department in Corporate U-haul work on developing SOPs for situations like mine.Amanda S.

This location is a mess and not having a reservation only line to take those customers first is something Uhaul should extremely consider!! It doesn't mean that employee twiddle their thumbs while they wait for another res customer in the meantime they would help a walkin but a res should never have to wait! Also having to drive 20 extra miles completely on the other side of town which cost probably $15 extra in gas and a hour and half of my time because of poor service and then the tank was not at half which was an extra $15 and the gentleman servicing the incoming trucks said just to take a picture and said that should not have been checked in at half and to tell drop off location which I did and David was great but someone else must have ended up checking it in and charged me $16.50 for gasJAMES V.

I reserved a 26' truck almost 4 weeks early, only to be called and told 2 days before that you didn't have any and the 20' truck was the biggest you had. At that point, I was behind the 8 ball and couldn't find a 26' anywhere. So frustrating. I had to use a personal truck and trailer (another ~$200 in gas) because Uhaul changed their plans on me. Did I get a discount or anything extra? Nope, I actually even had to drive farther away from my house in order to get a 20' truck. Plus, when I got it the truck was only 40% full of fuel. So thank your for making me go to the gas station twice instead of once. The facility was clean and the person nice, but Uhaul failed me on this trip.Markley W.

There was a wait of over 50mins which delayed my plans and the whole reservation pickup process seemed to average about 15-20min per person which for a straight forward process, It should be quicker. Upon picking up my truck the visor hook was broken which caused the visor to constantly come-down while i was driving, the steering wheel was disgusting and filthy as if its never been wiped down, the side mirrors were wobbly and would keep changing its position while driving making it difficult for me to drive confidently without having to pull over to correct them. Lastly the brakes were squishy and without a load it seemed at times to struggle to stop and there was a bad smell as if the truck has never been cleaned/deodorized etc. I ended up returning it 2hrs prior to my drop-off time and going elsewhere.Anesdy R.

They dismissed me on first attempt in that specific u haul center for some case they thought was invalid and had to pull some ropes to prove validity on credentials. Called them few days after if I could un-insure my car since it was literally parking outside my neighborhood and exhausted literally under 2 miles, one of the representatives said that i could uninsure the car and restart a new transaction then the following day ended up hearing unfortunate news that I couldn't so ended up paying for a storage truck I didn't drive nor use for days because of some misleading information then tows my truck saying the card was insufficient yet they were able to charge 500 something dollars to my account without my permission which I find violating my personal rights to my personal belongings and is hindered as fraud. I received my uhaul trailer at on obscure location outside of Austin TX. The address on your company email was incorrect that business move down the road and where I picked up the trailer was in a pasture quarter mile from the rental office. There were two 6x12s I asked which one and backed and hooked the one he said. No inspection of the trailer brought it to rental office and was charged $10 for an electrical adapter for my 2009 Tahoe still no inspection offered no jack nor trailer jack. They allowed me to leave. I discovered two tire were rotten requiring me to pull into a real uhaul rental business on Slaughter Ln in Austin where an employee changed both bad tires. Appears to me the other place where I picked the trailer at was a repair or mechanic shop not a rental outlet you want advertising your company name. The manager was not very friendly nor his assistant down in the pasture waiting for me. They offered information about the trailer allowed me to leave with two bad tires. Scarlett,extra helpful patient professional, product knowledgeable, Ramona storage unit knowledgeable patient hand cleaned and sanitize my unit personally prior to my move ( general manager) very friendly personable seems very focused and driven on having a top notch facility, there was even a new gentleman didn't have a t-shirt yet had kind of a long beard I could tell underneath its mask very friendly tried his very best to help me get hooked up with a trailer hitch for my truck, having to make an appointment to get a hitch installed in no 24-hour access I'm only two disappointments, I rented U-Haul for 2 years on Boulder highway Henderson 24-hour access for a truck driver is a good thing to have, then we may be in and out of town and have to get inside that storage room to get things or move things in and out it just makes good sense. Last but not least once you're assigned a vehicle one of the courtesy clerks should go and get that vehicle and pull it up to the front for you just as if you were bringing it back, I had to go and get my own truck and was blocked in by another truck so I second trip up to the office to get someone to move that other truck wasn't really a big fan of that. The staff is nowhere near professional, nor welcoming. Also, during customer service would you think you would have more assistance in finding your unit, or a little more informative about it. I do have a few comments about the overall service. I'm disappointed that you no longer provide military discounts to veterans. Also, there is no longer late night or after hours access available at my location because of COVID. I pay for after hours access. We rented a truck to move our things out the storage unit which was due in 5 days. As we were loading the 26' truck, we went back up to our unit only to find out Ramona an employee cleared out our unit without our authorization, she put a free tag on the unit and checked us out saying we turned the unit it. Now we have missing items. This was the most horrible experience. Not to mention when we went in the office bothered about what happened. That employee got in my face less than a foot away and started yelling in my face clapping her hands and I numerous Ku told her to step back and step back and she didn't care. The assistant manager was standing right there and was quiet. As she kept acting like a lunatic I became irate and belligerent and thats when the assistant manager Dante Intervine, as he was talking she kept laughing and rolling her eyes, you can tell she didn't care about her manager. Also, she stated she called us to ask if we were checking out which probes her integrity is off, I have my phone bill showing there is not on call made to my phone or the phone listed for that I tire time we were there. Everything was as expected until they told me where my storage unit was. I specifically reserved a first floor unit over a week in advance since the last time we used this place we were on the third floor all the way in the back of the facility. As soon as I completed the paperwork they told me my unit would be on the 2nd floor. I told the lady I reserved a 1st floor unit. She told me no 1st floor units were available.
