There was only one person working the morning I had to pick up my Uhaul. I had an appointment at 9am but did not walk out of the store until almost 10am when my movers were already at my apartment at 9:30. In addition, the person working did not know how to accurately use their systems as he repeatedly had to call Uhaul help desk in order to complete my pick up.

The gas tank was not full when I picked up the truck so I had to guess how much to put in. I ended up not driving as much as I thought and put in 20$ of gas and really only drove 5$ worth. When I showed the receipt and explained that I had over filled a bit on accident the man I spoke with said there was nothing he could do and showed no interest in trying to help me out or talk to a manager. This all could have been solved if the tank had been topped off by your employees before I rented it so I didn't have to guess. I could have just filled it up. So enjoy my 15$. I know your company is big and could care less and it may seem like no big deal to you so in that case hand a stranger 15$ and see how much fun it is

Not enough associates at the front desk helping customers, some were getting frustrated because there was only one employee and no one in the building. No buzzer or signs letting customers know that the employee had stepped out of the office.

The agent, Sydney Heideman, that did the check in process to give me the truck marked the fuel in the wrong spot. She was also very rude and unprofessional. The manager, Michael Curry, tried to salvage the experience upon returning the truck, was very professional and pleasant, but at that point the damage had been done and there was not much he could do. I will never be renting a truck from this location again. I have never had this problem before, and I have rented 3 trucks in the past two months. If you get Sydney when you go to pick up your truck I suggest you ask for someone else.

They over charged my by over $100!!! First they charged me 102.38 which included an extra 19 they said I didn't return the right amount of gas, I sent them a picture and proved I returned it at the right amount and they said they would reimburse me. They returned the $19 but charged my card again for $84.58 which was the original hold price! I am so upset. This is ridiculous and they need to get it together. I will NEVER use uhaul again!!

Horrible customer service. Rental was not available at the scheduled pick up time. After waiting in line behind 4 people in front of me for 50 minutes was told “my rental” had not returned in time and That I could go rent at another location “ IF” they had what I needed. What??? Rescheduled for next morning at 7am and same thing happened. Put me in a bigger 26 footer instead. At this point i didn’t care. People schedule other people and coordinate other services and activities around renting a moving truck and to not provide the basic service of the vehicle reserved at the time requested is simply unacceptable. Unless you are willing and have the time and patience to drive all over town going to other locations to find what you initially reserved at the one they agreed to have it at in the first place.

The text messages from this location were very threatening and rude! My deliver of return was the 29th and instead of a kind message they threatened me with charges and did not offer any kind words. I think they are use to dealing with jerks. I am in customer service and would never talk to someone like they talk to people. My truck was delivered back the day it was scheduled to be back. I do not appreciate the rude texts. We are not young rude teenagers. We all deserve to be talked to with respect. I would not recommend this location for drop off.

This location is extremely busy. You may have to wait for their friendly, accommodating service but it is worth it. The people are always thinking about their customer! Excellent culture, excellent teamwork and excellent service! (However, they could use a couple/few more hands!)

Need more staff especially on Friday-Sun after 5pm. It is peak hours people do not work time waited was over 45min-1hr. I had reserved at one location and was not informed that that location did not have my truck. Due to previous renter extended his contract. A courtesy call or e-mail would have been nice with the new pick-up location.

Online check in was not as easy as you made it sound it took me 35min to get the truck waiting on approval and that you needed one reference oo then 20 minutes more o wait we need two reference. Customer service is horrible “Sarah “Headache next time I’ll just wait until they open to pick the vehicle.

I was charged for 1 gallon incorrectly. It was said to have the tank at 7/8 full which I disputed with a photo before leaving. I drove 9 miles and put 2 gallons in the van before returning it. The receipt said I filled the gas tank between 3/4 and 7/8. I called and spoke with Michael and he told me I was correct but to issue the refund of $4.75 he would need to recharge my card the new amount and refund the other charge. I reluctantly agreed and he said, "ok, bye" and hung up without asking if I had any further questions.

Worse rental experience I ever had. The original location( 51st & Glendale, AZ.) did not have my truck and UHaul failed to call the day before confirming. I had to pay a crew of movers waiting for over two hours from their original start time. The mgr. (Damian) didn't bother to call me ahead of time, or even the morning of the move to tell me he didn't have the truck (20'). He told me "oh well", you can just go to another location, they have two trucks. The second location's mgr. was just as indifferent and impersonal. They both represent U Haul. Maybe it was just a one time bad experience, but I'll try not to rent from U Haul again. Very poor customer service. Isn't there some sort of guarantee for money back if you can't fulfil my reservation? I'm curious to see if you publish this Review..

The truck I would not trust on a long journey. I would not even drive it on the highway. I drove it on the side roads did not want to go into the the gears well. I just used it for pickup and drop off donations and only received 20 cents off per mile.

I called for a 20ft truck. Was told they didn’t have it at the location I called. So I got transferred to another location. At that location they said they had one but only for 24 hrs, not 48. So I said I need to get a 26 to try and make sure I got done. They called me 1 hour before and said they didn’t have it and would have to go to another location far away. With both feet in already, I was committed. So I went to that location. When I showed up I stood and waited for 40 minuets past my start time. I enquirers about it, they said my time starts from the scheduled time no matter what. So I automatically lost almost 2 hours due to the wait and drive back. I was getting ready to bring back the truck and my car broke down so I had no way to have my girlfriend pick me up at the truck drop off. I called and said I had to make an extra stop in the truck back where I had moved from, and might be a few minuets late. They said I could use the over night drop. I asked to please not be charged a whole mother day. I got to the drop off 10 min. Late. Nobody was at the building. I was charged a whole mother day, and 1$ a mile so total with original agreement , almost 400 dollars . I could have hired a truck and 2 men for that. The gas was marked at half a tank, when I got in it it was at 1/4, tank, so I had to spend and extra 60$ to add fuel that wasn’t even mine. The final site had plenty of 20’ trucks. It feels was all just a scam with extra fees and charges. But helped remind me why I always use Penske . I won’t be using I haul again in the future.

The only problem I had was being charged $8+ fuel fee when I returned the vehicle with what I thought was more than the required fuel. The agent read the mileage a hair below the required amount. The only reason I paid the fee was because of the fuel I would have run out of the vehicle taking it to add what would have been a few dollars in order to meet that standard. There needs to be some reasonable flexibility with that policy.

One woman was handling a long line of customers on a busy Friday afternoon. She did an amazing job, but we waited almost an hour while she dealt with customers with no credit cards and other complex issues. We could hear people “in the back” which made it even worse. Plus this location is in a less safe part of town, not good...

My original order of a moving van was mos entered as a truck. The morning of my rental I noticed it in the confirmation email and called the location before arriving. A woman put me on hold and forgot to come back. I hung up after 15 mins. Service was backed up and undermanned later that day. This all happened on Wednesday 4/24.

After admitting that they had our reservation mixed up with someone else. They were trying to charge us for extra mileage when I asked the manager to hang on I needed to call the corporate office number. Due to this error she put the contract on hold. The corporate office was trying to remedy the issue but she refused to lift the hold so that her corporate office could apply the adjustment to the mileage. Which was occurred due to having to drive to multiple locations for equipment and storage . That still was not provided. The lady manager at this location has a very nasty disposition and unfriendly attitude. Not one time did she smile or greet us not one customer service gesture at all was provided from this location. She also stated my card declined with no funds when it was her error. When I asked her to retry the transaction it processed no issued. My main issue is with this locations customer service or the lack there of very poor. The manager was full aware that all she needed to do was lift the hold off the contact so that the adjustment could be made.

I noticed this morning that I have been charged twice for the service. I want you to reimburse the correct amount. I can send you my bank statement showing the withdrawals from Uhaul on the same day, $ 88.03, estimated charge before renting and $90.07 final payment. Total $ 178.10. That total wasn’t the receipt I signed. 4240 W Camelback Rd Phoenix Az 85019 location.

The app and website suck. They need to be redone for accuracy and user interaction. I was not able to self check-in my rental after hours because neither the website nor the app had my rental recorded, hence, i was unable to check it in correctly. Then i got charged for a second day of rental which i am waiting to be reversed from my credit card.

Have a speaker phone out by return station so we can notify employees. They we're swamped and had to go ask what to do. Very prompt service. Only takes a second to answer a question on a phone. Of course bit could be an intercom button too.

First if all I said I wanted a truck that would haul 1 bedroom. We had to make 2 trips which increased the mileage and created more time for my workers. Also the windshield was filthy.
